We have 4 of these blankets and love them. I ordered one more and the shedding that is coming off this latest one is horrible! I've washed and dried a few times and it isn't getting better. I will be returning and hopefully a different color will be better.

I bought this blanket and one larger for Christmas. I have bought these before and loved them, which is why I bought again. After 2 separate washing each I still have so much shedding from them both that they are unusable.
I will not wash
them again and want my money back.
My extended family and I always give each other LL Bean gifts for Christmas because of the good quality. Evidently your quality control is slipping . I have pictures but couldn't get them to load
I live in Harrison, Ohio

I purchased two Wicked Plush Throws, a Navy Blue, and a Green one. The Navy Blue was fine, but when I washed the Green Throw (as stated on the label) it shed fibers. The two items I washed with it, an old fleece jacket and flannel shirt, are coated with fiber balls that stick to their threads. I can pull loose fiber from the dry throw. I have never seen this kind of shedding from a polyester product, it is dangerous to breathe and kinda scary to have this stuff floating around inside my house.

I bought this for a throw on the couch and loved how soft it was out of the package. I quickly realized it was a shedding mess so I washed it to see if it would help. Five washes later it is still shedding a ridiculous amount. I am extremely disappointed and will be returning it.

This product was not anywhere near L.L.Bean quality. Smelled funny upon arrival and started disintegrating when washed. Sent it back.

I purchased this blanket months ago, and I have washed it several times. The piling on it is terrible! It sheds so bad that I am sending it back. I've purchased from LL Bean for many many years, and this is the worst product I have ever bought.

This blanket is so soft and I want to like it but I can't even get the lint off of it. Seriously, it's been through the dryer 3 times and I've been cleaning the lint filter throughout the cycle. I just took it out and tried to pull the lint off by hand but it's going to take me hours. I'm so disappointed in the quality of this blanket. I would be embarrassed to give this as a gift - what a burden! Sorry L.L.Bean this one is no good!

Very disappointed with this blanket that had to returned it. Washed it two times, way too much lint after each wash.

I have 2 throws from LL Bean. The monogrammed one I received for Christmas is excellent. I ordered another larger one. It was fine until I washed it. There are fabric pills everywhere. I tried washing it a few more times....just got worse. Maybe a bad batch? It was on backorder for about 4 months so maybe sourced from a different mfg??

The throw sheds all over the place. I had fragments all over my sofa and floor and eventually all over my clothes.

This is the worst item I've ever purchased from LL Bean. It pills and sheds worse than any other blanket we've ever had.

We recently purchased 3 wicked plush blankets while we were in the LLBean store in Freeport, Maine. We also had all 3 monogrammed. Despite having all the correct information put into the computer all 3 blankets were wrong. One we were able to keep even though the font was incorrect at least the lettering was correct. The other 2 had incorrect font and the last name was entered as an O instead of a D. When we returned home to New Jersey I returned the 2 blankets and reordered them on line. Sadly when I received the corrected blankets the font is very tiny. It's at least half the size of how it was done in the store in Freeport. With the plush of the blanket it is hard to see. I'm so disappointed.

Returned - very poor quality. No matter how inexpensive, this item is not worth it.

Washed and dried as instructed, but it's shedding little balls of fuzz everywhere and is starting to look terrible.

I bought one of these in woodsmoke and was completely enamored with it. So very soft and light. Then I bought a 2nd one in white. Yes, soft and light again, but this time it produced sticky tiny white lint in the dryer that was virtually impossible to remove. I washed this blanket with my first gray blanket and a random black tech shirt, and both were ruined by this lint. Impervious to a lint roller, I just don't know how I would have gotten this lint off short of spending hours picking off the hundreds of white specks by hand. I ultimately threw away the 2 blankets I purchased as well as the ruined tech shirt.

The monogram came totally messed up so I requested a new one. That one came even worse! Unbelievable. No quality control apparently. What a huge waste of money.

Very comfy but sheds horribly. Had red fuzz over my sheets, spread, pillow and rug next to bed. Tried to defuzz but turns out this is an impossible task.

This throw sheds worse with every washing. I have tried anti static dryer sheets and a lint roller and still have little blue furballs everywhere. Just awful. Can't use it. Have the same one in navy which slso shed but not nearly as much. Don't understand since they seem to be the same fabric.

I washed and dried this throw blanket, all by itself, according to label instructions and the fabric pilled horribly. The blanket was covered with it. I gave it a good shake outside and then washed and dried it again. It came out even worse the second time. After another shake and wash and dry, I spent 45 minutes, using various techniques, trying to get the worst of the lint fabric pills off. I draped it across the couch and my lavender throw pillows... you guessed it. Now the couch and the light colored pillows are covered in sticky lint the same color as the navy blue blanket. I expected way more from L.L. Bean. I have a total of 6 or 7 of these blankets that I ordered from L.L. Bean years ago and I've never had a problem with a single one. Quality is not something that you can rely on from L.L. Bean anymore. I would return it, but I ordered two other blankets from other stores and they were also horrible and I need a blanket. I have better things to do than deal with this aggravation - everyone does.

Then I started using it and it shed all over. I've washed it numerous times, at first making the mistake of washing it with another throw, and then washing it alone over and over and it still sheds over everything it comes in contact with. Now I have it for "show" because it's monogrammed and I like the colors. I wasted my Beans Bucks to pay for it.

This is the third set (we buy two at a time) of these wonderfully sized throws we've purchased over the last five years. We have dogs that share them with us so they get laundered frequently and over time get holes from their little paws. We've loved them up until now. This set is super thin, not warm at all and nothing like the ones we got previously. We hoped they would "fluff up" a bit after laundering but they did not. Like so many other things at LL Bean the quality has become unacceptable because they changed the product. This is so disappointing because they were perfect in the past and now we are in search of an alternative.
