I washed and dried this throw blanket, all by itself, according to label instructions and the fabric pilled horribly. The blanket was covered with it. I gave it a good shake outside and then washed and dried it again. It came out even worse the second time. After another shake and wash and dry, I spent 45 minutes, using various techniques, trying to get the worst of the lint fabric pills off. I draped it across the couch and my lavender throw pillows... you guessed it. Now the couch and the light colored pillows are covered in sticky lint the same color as the navy blue blanket. I expected way more from L.L. Bean. I have a total of 6 or 7 of these blankets that I ordered from L.L. Bean years ago and I've never had a problem with a single one. Quality is not something that you can rely on from L.L. Bean anymore. I would return it, but I ordered two other blankets from other stores and they were also horrible and I need a blanket. I have better things to do than deal with this aggravation - everyone does.

Then I started using it and it shed all over. I've washed it numerous times, at first making the mistake of washing it with another throw, and then washing it alone over and over and it still sheds over everything it comes in contact with. Now I have it for "show" because it's monogrammed and I like the colors. I wasted my Beans Bucks to pay for it.

This is the third set (we buy two at a time) of these wonderfully sized throws we've purchased over the last five years. We have dogs that share them with us so they get laundered frequently and over time get holes from their little paws. We've loved them up until now. This set is super thin, not warm at all and nothing like the ones we got previously. We hoped they would "fluff up" a bit after laundering but they did not. Like so many other things at LL Bean the quality has become unacceptable because they changed the product. This is so disappointing because they were perfect in the past and now we are in search of an alternative.

Soft warm yet lighter weight throw. Perfect for relative of a certain age.

The blanket is very soft and cozy, but unfortunately it sheds so much fuzz. I was instructed to wash the blanket upon receipt, which I did, but it filled my washer and dryer with so much lint that I was handpicking it off of clothing for hours. It continued to shed even after I washed. I would not recommend purchasing this blanket.

We have had the olive green throw for about a year. It's been great and has been washed a dozen times. Bought two more which were back ordered. Received them Saturday and they have been shedding all over the furniture and our clothes. They are now in the washer again but I am dubious that will improve their condition. I will attempt to add a photo of the lint filter. We are totally disappointed and they are going back. Doubt anyone will want to buy them in the outlet store. Prepare to vacuum.

Please know that even after washing this throw it sheds on your clothes.

Not warm enough for a locale with real winter, otherwise soft and pretty, but I had to return it.

We bought these as gifts for our team, even had them embroidered with our logo. I've washed mine 4 (FOUR) times and followed the care instructions. Fuzz everywhere- we took them ( because we got 2) outside to shake them each time and it's not getting better. Straight to the trash and what an embarrassment as we gave these as gifts. The photo doesn't even ven begin to capture how bad it is.

There are fuzzies coming out everywhere after one wash.

We bought two of these, one red and one blue based on a recommendation from Wirecutter. We washed them per label instructions. The red one left fuzz balls on every piece of wool clothing that touched the blanket and after washing the blue blanket it was COVERED in red fuzz balls after washing the two blankets together. DO NOT BUY THESE BLANKETS UNLESS YOU LIKE FUZZ BALLS ON EVERTHING!!!! 8-(. We returned them and looking for a cotton throw blanket now.

Federal Gray leaves lint on everything even after being washed. Waste of money.

These used to be wonderful. This one feels like a cheap knockoff. I had to vacuum after taking it out of the package. The quality is gone. Pretty disappointed in my two recent LLBean purchases.

The fabric sheds. Poor quality. I had to vacuum the sofa every time these throws were used.

the blanket "pills" losing little balls of fleece, even after several washings. They get on everything and cause an air quality hazard. I'm returning mine. I bought a blue and white one. I have two others from previous years that do not do this. Very disappointed.

I'm really unhappy with this oversized throw. I have the smaller throw and the Sherpa throw and both of those do not pill. This one is not useable since it has fluff everywhere! I washed and dried it like the other ones but this one must be made with cheaper material or something. I also dry all my fleece blankets without heat. I'm disappointed with my purchase and now I have a throw I cannot use.

Was so excited to give these to my children for Easter. Even after washing they shed non stop, not able to return because I had them monogrammed.

Lower quality fleece than previous years. Soft, but thin.

This was a birthday gift to my sister in law. This is what here thank you note replied. Omg! I opened this blanket it was sooooo soft and then the icing on the cake, it had my name monogramed on the corner. I'm in love

I have to say I am unusually disappointed with this purchase. I have many of the Plush blankets from LLBean and this one shed and pilled up excessively. I would not recommend this throw at this quality. Only keeping because I expected quality and threw out packaging received in order to return.

Disappointed to say the least. I followed the instructions for washing and drying and it shed ALL OVER a similar blanket. I ended up tossing both out.

I waited patiently for this to arrive. It was back ordered and I figured it was worth the wait being a LL Bean product. I finally received it. I thought it felt a little thin but after all it is a throw. I put it in my washing machine and followed instructions. I put it in with a similar throw. When I removed them the grey had shed ALL OVER the other one. I put the old one in the dryer to see if I could get the fuzzies off of it. Nope. No luck. I have never been so disappointed in any purchase as much as I am with this one. UGGG.
