I recently ordered two of these throws. One had some surface pilling when it arrived, the other did not. I decided to wash both throws before use, in order to minimize the probability of shedding. The blanket which had some pilling to start with came out of the washing and drying looking terrible, and I will have to return it. The other looks better, but now has some pilling. Also: the care instructions on the throw itself say something not mentioned in the description online, namely that the throw must be dried without heat--not very practical, and definitely not within my definition of "machine wash and dry"!

I ordered 2 of the extra large white blankets. These are super warm and cozy. However, I have white fuzz everywhere ( my pants, couch, etc). Would recommended a different type.

Liked the extra large size but didn't follow the drying instruction as I have no patience for air drying something for more than 45 minutes. Will not recommend this to anyone.

I was looking for a throw blanket to use on the colder winter nights on top of our regular bedding. This is a very soft, light and comfy blanket, but it did shed a bit on our other blanket and I didn't want to brush off the lint everyday. I returned it and bought something more substantial.

It took almost three hours to dry this throw on air fluff, so I guess I won't be washing it very often which is not good as I have cats. Care is totally different from the wicked fleece blanket I purchased last spring. That blanket was dry on air fluff in no time. It also didn't shed like this one which got blue lint all over my beige sheets. Is there no way I can dry this with some heat? I'm seriously considering returning it.

I bought nine of these for my wedding and hand them embroidered. I have washed them three times and dried them and am so embarrassed to give them as gifts. The pilling is awful. You'd think there were from the dollar store. I've never had a blanket do this. I would give zero stars if an option

I washed this exactly one time exactly how the tag specified and it shed everywhere.

In over 50 years, I doubt I've ever had a complaint regarding a product from LLBean. Unfortunately, the "Wicked Plush Throw" is my first and hopefully my last. After only a year, it has pilled to the point that it is uncomfortable to the touch. I'll be donating it to an animal rescue.

This is a soft blanket. However, it sheds! It was all over our dark blue sofa. This is not the same quality as our older LLBean blankets, very disappointing.

The throw has been washed three times and is still balling up

This is an exceptional throw blanket. I already had 3 from a purchase several years ago and was so glad to see that it was still available. It is so soft and plush warm yet very lightweight. I highly recommend it as a quality product for a very acceptable price.

Have purchased two and both are pilling. returned one and now have to return the other. tried the green and blue.Fuzz all over pillow cases. followed the washing instructions.

The absolute best throw. So soft and never pill. I have to two and these throws are my go to gift, and everyone who has received one loves it. I just bought them for my nieces who just left for college. Both have stated they use them nightly and take everywhere they go in their dorms. Gifted another to a friend going through chemo and just ordered for a friend for her birthday.

After 4+ washes, this blanket continues to generate fuzz and pill. I had to throw out a different blanket it was washed with as it ended up covered in white fuzz.

Sent this as a gift. Soft and cozy but it sheds and leaves lint everywhere even after being washed. Disappointed.

I am so disappointed in this Blaket! While it is super soft, it leaves fuzz all over the place, it pills up terrible. I bought it under the impression it wouldn't do that, but it does.

The size is great and it is very warm, but it sheds on everything and has ruined socks and clothes, not to mention blue fuzz balls everywhere. We bought 5 navy blankets and they all shed. Very disappointed because we have always gotten quality products from LL Bean.

I loved the blanket so much until I washed and dried it.I washed it alone and dried it alone, and it's completely ruined. Fibers are everywhere and there is pilling on almost every square inch. The blanket is essentially ruined as the texture is bumpy and will never be the same.

I bought this throw with great anticipation, as I have another purchased a few years ago. But when I washed it to remove factory smell it shed so much fluff that I had to clean the inside of my washer and empty the dryer filter a couple of times. Then I brushed it with a lint brush and finally a stronger brush/comb to try to make it usable. Needless to say, the fibers were floating all around my bedroom and adhering to other bedding, etc. I spent about an hour brushing it, then repeated the washing/drying procedure, and gave up. My nose itches just thinking about it! I am returning it.

I have purchased these throws in the past and have always been pleased with them. This throw was a Christmas gift for a wheelchair-bound elderly family member residing in a nursing home. I thought it would bring him comfort because he is always cold. I also liked that I could monogram his name on it for free when ordering with my LL Bean credit card. When the blanket arrived, it was shedding like crazy. I decided to wash and dry it (twice!), before gifting, because I didn't want my family member to be covered in fuzz. There was lint all inside my washer and dryer and coating all the other items in the same load. The blanket fibers stuck together, creating little hardened areas across surface. I had to rake a metal comb across the entire blanket to break them up and restore a soft nap. I really did not want to gift the blanket, but delivery had been so delayed that we had no time left to shop for an alternative. I have purchased fleece blankets from other companies that not only don't shed or pill, but retain a soft, supple nap throughout years of heavy use and repeated laundering. Unfortunately, this blanket will probably be tossed in the bin, because I can't expect the nursing home to go through what I did to make it useable after each wash. It's a shame, really, because the color and weight of the blanket are wonderful.

We bought this as a supplemental blanket for cold nights. We found the surface very slippery, and it was on the floor by morning both nights we used it. We're sending it back.

This blanket began shedding on the couch within two days of getting it as a present for Christmas. I washed it thinking that would help. It shed all over everything else in the wash, filled the lint trap in the dryer, and continues to shed as I've now washed it twice in the hopes of salvaging it. Perhaps this is a "heather" issue, and the solid colors are ok? But I can't believe anyone is happy with this blanket. I'll end up throwing it out.

I've washed and dried this blanket for hours. It leaves nothing but lint on everything. I'm cleaning lint all day. I can't recommend. I could make another blanket from the lint that has come off it.

The blanket shed horribly in the wash, and now everything washed with it is covered in sticky fuzz balls.
