I gave this throw as a gift to my niece last April 2023. Saw her again last Thanksgivingso I told her, I was gonna get her son the same throw in blue. She apologized and asked me not to because her mountain red throw I gave her in 2023 fell apart and pilled after washing. Could it be the batch of red color? Other color I ordered no problem so far. I had to order a different color to make up for the throw she got from 2023. So embarrased and disappointed.

I paid extra for the monogram but you could hardly read it through the fabric of the throw. I tried snipping pieces of fuzz away so that the monogram was legible but no luck so I returned it to my local L.L. Bean store.

Not really what I'd consider good quality. Thin. Transferred colour to my nice Egyptian cotton sheets. Not recommended

Love the feel of this but it sheds. Would return if I didn't get it monogrammed

I bought this X Long blanket and very much enjoyed it until it needed to be washed. It and everything else in the dryer, dried on low per instructions, came out totally covered in wine colored fuzz. It is no longer useable or returnable as it is outside the 1 yr window. I'm very disappointed.

Wicked plush doesn't describe the throw. It is very short plush and very thin.

i would get rid of this blanket if i hadn't spent so much money on it or feel guilt for being wasteful. Pros: super soft, keeps me warm Cons: SHEDS gets on everything. this shouldn't happen to a $120 blanket.

This blanket is incredibly soft, but as soon as I washed it, it started shedding everywhere! It is all over my bedroom carpet, my bed sheets, and every other piece of clothing in the same load. I was such a fan of LL Bean blankets, until this one. I wish I could return it, but I've already washed it. Each wash is the same amount of lint. Big bummer.

I've had 3 of these blankets for two years. I like the look and feel but they continue to generate pills. I've washed and dried them multiple times thinking it would stop. No deal. They just make a mess.

I seriously wonder how many times I will need to wash and dry this thing before it stops leaving a mess all over everything. I bought the dark blue - pretty color - feels nice, but oh, my.

Wonderfully soft, but sheds like a cat! So sad. Returned for a refund.

Ordered 2 blankets. Loved the size and feel of the blankets until I washed them. Fuzz Balls covered the entire blanket! Ended up donating it to the Animal Shelter because I couldn't get all the Fuzz Balls off of them.

I was so excited to get this fleece throw (large size), and as is my habit, I wash all new items before using. Following instructions, it left a massive mess of lint pieces all over it and another fleece I washed. The dryer filter was absolutely coated; I thought the fleece had shed half its weight! I'm still working on trying to curb the lint lose; when will it end?

The color is great but fabric is inferior. I bought two others previously from LLBean that are far superior. I'm very disappointed. These new ones are flimsy and weren't inexpensive.

The blankets are beautiful and feel very nice and soft. After I washed them I was very disappointed. They look ragged and there is blue lint everywhere.

While the color and size are perfect, the pilling on this blanket is excessive.

Unfortunately, this blanket, for as wonderfully soft and fluffy as it is, is a horrible pain in the you-know-what. I ordered it for my college-age son to have at home in his room here, washed it, and then spent the next few hours dealing with the fuzzies. Everywhere. In my washing machine, in the dryer, on the floor, in my nose, on my clothes, in my hair, in my eyes, on the carpet... you get the idea. I used 20 lint roller sheets, duct tape, a vacuum cleaner. Then I gave up. I apologized to my son when he came home for the weekend. I tried again to wash and dry it but to no avail. Still covered in fuzzies. Maybe the third time will be the charm?

I don't understand why more people didn't complain about it, unless they always wear light clothes and don't notice. I even tried hanging it outside in the wind, after cleaning out the dryer walls and cleaning off the lint trap 3x, there was still many pieces of lint hanging on the edges! I am so surprised that no one has complained. I don't get it.

Well it was a good run. Mr. Bean would be ashamed. Like many products now, this does not live up to Bean quality standards. It is very soft and warm, but this blanket pills - Not great quality. I'm done. At least the older stuff will last a while. :(

This IS the most plush feel so I highly recommend that, But the "mountain red" would best be described as ruddy red. I'm very surprised and disappointed with the color. Wish I could return it, but couldn't help wrapping myself in the warmth and comfort.

The fleece blanket that I bought was very inexpensive. It was one ply and covered a bed for two. I am using it over my comforters to serve as a "plastic" layer to keep the heat in the bed. It works ok, but not as well as the more expensive double layered type.

I really wanted to love this blanket but sadly had to return it. Yes, it's very soft and cozy but unfortunately it sheds so much I just can't keep it. It leaves huge clumps of fuzz everywhere. Also I've only had it a month and the seams are already coming apart. Not the quality I expected from L.L. Bean!

Ordered this blanket as a gift. Recipient said it was cute and soft but the material was pilling and shedding upon arrival. Contacted customer service and they sent a replacement but same issue. Bummed as it's a beautiful blanket, just not the quality expected from LL Bean.
