I live these bedroom slippers. They're well - made, comfortable on my feet, and come with a money-back guarantee if I;m ever dissatisfied with them. I'm glad I purchased them.

I'm a long time customer of L.L. Bean, used to enjoying good quality and customer service. Last Christmas I bought these slippers for my husband. The flannel wore out at the heels after 3 months, and they had a very bad odor that would not go away (I know what you're thinking - his other footwear doesn't have this problem). I called the company to see if they changed the materials on the slippers and was told no, but didn't want to take a chance on another bad pair, so purchased another brand elsewhere for his Christmas present this year.

I really wanted to like these slippers; they're well made and look like they would last for a long time. Unfortunately, they're *really* narrow. I mean my feet are narrow enough that I have some trouble finding shoes that will fit, but these were tight even for me.
Unless you have extremely narrow feet, I'd suggest giving these a pass - or maybe going up a size. That might work.

Bought these to replace a Bean wicked slipper that had last me many years of hard wear. First two weeks, the laces both broke. I'll be returning them for a pair of wicked slip on's..no laces.

This is the fifth...5...pair of identical shoes I have had in about 10 years. #4 pair came narrower than previous 3 pairs. I have tried wetting them and stuffing with wet newspapers. Nothing helped. They are not the same shoe. Being my fifth pair, I feel like I should know. I have returned them as they are too narrow.. Disappointed L L Bean is not maintaining same supplier. I have ordered the leather slippers at an increase of $50.00. They arrived today and appear to be wider. Time will tell. I never have written a complaint but I am disappointed in my go to favorite house shoes. Gone but not forgotten. John I

I have ordered several pairs of these in the past in a 9 Medium which always fit perfectly. This time the 9 medium was too narrow so I will be returning them. Previous pairs have been comfortable 12 months of the year and have worn well. However a change in the width has made them unsuitable.

These shoes are for a ballerina foot if you have medium widh feet you might do well to look at something else. I am going to try and strech them because they are nice and well made. Verry narrow feet should be pleased!

Usually love LLBean products but this is two pairs of slippers ordered that had to be returned because they were way too narrow. They were not even close to a D width.

Be forewarned. THESE ARE NARROW. I bought to replace a 2 -year old pair. The soles of that pair disintegrated, became gooey, but I decided to try another pair and get a few years life out of them. I bought the same size as before, but this new pair is "miles" narrower. IMHO, not a D fit

The flannel lining is laminated to foam rubber. Both wore thru in just 3 months of normal wear. The holes are located at the heel and along the side of the foot opening. Find some without the flannel liner.

I was excited to finally splurge and get great LL Bean quality. The slippers certainly appeared to be constructed well of good materials.
The problem was that they were quite uncomfortably narrow. I have NEVER bought wide shoes before. Every other shoe maker in my 46-year experience has never caused an issue. I am astonished frankly.

I wanted to replace my size 11 slippers which I had worn for some 4 years. So I ordered the same - a duplicate - but it appears that your manufacturer has skimped on leather and made the slipper narrower. I then tried size 12 and it was to long, but it, too, was narrow. I measured my original pair with the new....about 1/2 inch narrower.
Sure had hoped but ....

They fit nicely, grip well and are comfortable.
But they smell so badly I get a headache within minutes. I can't wear them inside and what is the point of an outdoor only slipper?

Have had several pairs of these slippers over the past years. They have always been durable and comfortable. However, I received a new pair for Christmas 2010. The sole became loose on the heel of on one by February and on the second by June. The interior flannel wore quickly. My wife complained and they were replaced. After receiving the new pair, I put them on only to find a dead mouse crammed up in the toe. Not kidding.
LL Bean apologized and replaced them quickly.

I'm usually a huge fan of LLBean footwear but I bought these for my husbands birthday in February and by May one side of the shoe came unsewn. I was quite disappointed.

I bought these for my husband around Christmas and within two months the lining was completely worn through in the heel. Unbelievable!

As others have pointed out, the soles separate from the upper at the toe. I wear them only in the house, and they lasted less than 6 months.

I purchased these slippers for my husband for Christmas. Within a couple of weeks of wearing them, the stitching on the toes came apart and the inside lining was wearing away. Returned them to the store for a full refund. Not pleased with the slippers but very pleased that LL Bean stands by their product and refunded my money no questions asked.

I have only worn these house slippers during this past winter season, and the stitching has already worn through on the toe of both slippers causing separation. The design deficiency results from the stitching being on the bottom of the sole, not higher up the sides as they are on the higher priced double-sole leather slippers. I wore a leather-lined pair of them for four years before wearing through the outer layer. There were no stitching issues due to better construction design.

I am very dissappointed in these slippers. I ordered in the same size as the previous, discontinued LL Bean slippers, and these are a tad too long and too wide (and I wear a EEE shoe). The leather isn't nearly as supple as that of the previous slippers. The cushioning on the footbed is TOO deep (and therefore too hot), and that wrap-around sole that seems to come so high up on the side of the arch feels just-plain weird.

I've made many satisfactory purchases from LL Bean for the past 6 years. However I am quite disappointed with these slippers.
The stitching fell apart very quickly after I received them.

The stitching began to come undone the second day I wore them. Very uncomfortable. I wore them for several days without socks and got bad blisters. The flannel lining began to wear away, almost at once. After less than a week, I threw them away. Good riddance.
