These slippers are 1/2 size larger than shoes I normally wear but are too narrow. I'm trying to stretch them with shoe trees.

These are well made slippers. however, they are quite narrow and appear to be a size smaller than stated.

So here's the deal. These are not bad slippers. They are just not what they were advertised to be. They are labeled "flannel lined," when in reality, they are lined with plaid foam. It just doesn't feel as good against your skin as flannel would. I guess I will keep them as I am now living overseas and they would be difficult to return. Otherwise, they seem well made though very narrow as several previous posters have noted.

I am a huge fan of LL Bean and have never been disappointed with the quality and delivery of my purchases. But as last, I have hit a snag. Ordered these slippers and felt like one of Cinderellas sisters. They just don't fit. Pretty narrow for a medium and not made for high arches. I will return them and reorder a different style.
Still an LL Bean fan.

They were not very comfortable. They were too loose at the heel. Thought they would have been softer.

Slippers are only offered in medium, which is actually narrow. My feet are not that large and the fit is uncomfortable and there is no sign thus far that any stretching to fit my feet will occur. Another few weeks and they are going back to LLB. I am disappointed.

These arrive with a very, very snug fit. There's even a warning about how tight the fit will be initially. I've worn mine every day for a few weeks now, they are not as uncomfortable as they started but still very, very snug. I hope they will stretch out before too long.
They are also warmer than I expected. I went with flannel lined slippers instead of fleece because fleece ones always make my feet too hot, they sweat, then they get cold. These have a thick cushioned flannel lining which was more insulation than I expected.

I am female, and have been ordering these slippers for years. Unfortunately, they no longer have the flannel lined available for women - only the fleece lined. The fleeced lined are much too warm, so I tried ordering the men's in the smallest size available. They are a little big - wish they made them one size smaller. Or better yet - PLEASE BRING BACK THE FLANNEL LINED FOR WOMEN!!

Very narrow slipper! Instructions included say they will stretch to fit. I hobbled around for two days and they still hurt my toes. If you have a very narrow foot these may be for you. On the positive side they appear well constructed and the soles feel cushy! Will be returning the item.

I bought two pairs of these in the last 3 years and while initially they are good, they start to fall apart very quickly. The flannel lining starts to wear out within a few months followed by the stitching that holds the rubber sole to the leather. The first pair were the suede ones so I thought i would try the leather ones but they were no better. Within a 9 months the rubber sole was tearing apart. These slippers are simply not durable and certainly not worth the $40.00. Sign me disappointed!

I've had two pairs of these slippers and have loved them. Size is right, leather shell wears very well, laces stay tied, and best of all, the sole works great on snow and ice. My single complaint is that after less than three years of use, the flannel liner is shot! Worn out, threadbare! I have loved these slippers and I hate to toss them. I wish LLB would make them with a soft leather liner like their elkhide slipper. I'd gladly pay more for the same style with a soft leather liner.

I usually wear a 10.5 M shoe, and got a size 11 slipper. I found them very comfortable, and I really liked the rubber sole - it gave a good grip on floors and I could run outside for the paper in the morning. Unfortunately, the inside lining wore thin in a matter of months - months! - which made them uncomfortable to wear because the worn material bunched in little rolls, and you could feel the thinner spots.

My husband has always worn a size 9 in LL Bean slippers. Imagine his surprise when he tried his new slippers on---they were too small! He had to return for the next size. The new ones are a size 10.

I purchased the slippers for my husband for christmas. Since they don't come in half sizes, I was told to order up. THe size 9 was slipping off his feet even with socks. The size 8 was super tight.

I had the same problems that many others have noted. This was my second pair of these slippers.
1. The flannel lining wore through in multiple spots in a matter of months.
2. The stitching at the toes wears through as it's too close to the bottom of the shoe.
This happened when only wearing them indoors. This is unfortunate because these are the most comfortable slippers I've ever worn.
This was my second pair but these lasted an even shorter time than my first pair.
I won't be buying another pair and will look elsewhere as I am very disappointed.

I find tthe slipper constructed well but it presents a problem for me. I have a back problem and the roll-heel design of this slipper does not give me the support I need. If this slipper can be designed with a different heel similar to a shoe it would be an improvement.

I've worn a pair for many years. This newest pair, my usual size 9 ( I wear a size 8 1/2 shoe) is tight! I have been wearing them with socks in order to stretch them. After 3 weeks no change yet. They are so beautifully made that I will continue wearing them - knowing that I will eventually be successful, and they will be wonderful again.

I bought these slippers in the Freeport Maine store over last Labor Day as a retirement gift to myself. They are worn exclusively indoors. After only 4 months the stitching which holds the wraparound sole to the heel of the slipper, is failing. At this point I don't know where to go to find a quality product anymore.

I had purchased other Bean house slippers before and they were great. These are too short and size 12 doesn't come in a half size.

Had to return these slippers due to ripped upper stitching. They are very warm and comfortable and LL Bean replaced them after more than a year. I hope the replacement pair lasts longer .
I replaced them and not asked for a credit because LL Beans quality is usually great.
I figured I had gotten a rare defective pair.

These slippers are great now, but I hope
they are more durable than the last pair.
The last pair were very "weak" as far as the soles or bottoms go. My husband
ended up "duct"-taping them so his feet
wouldn't go through until I got him new
ones, and they weren't very old either!!!

These slipper look good, however, the flannel lining starts wearing out quickly leaving little dark balls of flannel everywhere. I am going to buy my husband the more expensive slippers again. His first pair lasted for 4 years.
I got what I paid for...

I purchased these because of quality slippers purchased from LLBean in the past. However, the flannel lining on these are wearing out after just a few months. Overall, they are hand-sewn well, but I honestly could not recommend these. I've paid much less for slippers that lasted way longer than these.
