The shoes were well made and looked very nice. My problem was with the width. They were very narrow. They fit so tight they made my feet hurt and caused them to be extremely cold. I returned them and bought a less quality shoe. If LL Bean had offered them in a wide I would have gladly exchanged them. The return process was easy but a little expensive.

We were SO disappointed in these slipperss. I bought two pair, 13 D and 14D. Both pair were extremely narrow in the toe box. You would not be able to wear a sock and get your foot comfortably in this slipper. They also run 1/2 size too short. The craftmanship is beautiful, the leather and construction is excellent. If only they fit a normal foot......I returned both pair.

My husband got a pair of these 3 years ago and the lining wore out in about 3 months. I bought him another pair the following year, and the following year, and the following year, and the lining wore out in about 3 months on all 4 pairs. The lining wears out and goes right to the white stuff under the flannel lining. He likes the rest of slipper so I was going to buy him ANOTHER pair until I saw that the slipper is $49.95 and you get free shipping on purchases over $50.00! Seriously? I'm taking my business elsewhere.

I ordered these slippers less than a year ago. They break in quickly and are very comfortable but the fabric lining inside the slippers is big disappointment. The lining pills and has large spots that are worn through exposing the foam backing on the sides and bottom of the lining. I wear the slippers daily in my house and don't use them to walk the dog, etc.. I am surprised at the poor craftsmanship.

I have had three pairs of these slippers over the years. Compared to the old versions the new ones are so inferior you wouldn't know were from the same company

I had a pair of these loved them and wore 'em out. When I bought news ones, they wore out quickly, in months, so I exchanged them. The replacement also wore out quickly. Huge quality drop. What happened LL Bean?

I bought these for my husband for his early October birthday. Here we are in July and the outer sole is slick and the flannel lining in shreds. This isn't the first time he's used this style. They once lasted longer. We've both bought LLBean since our teens and are extremely disappointed. We'll keep buying the classic men's pocket tee shirts in every color and tropical weight men's pants but no more slippers. We've had it!

Shoes looked very nice. They were a little narrow but wearable. After 3 months of wearing the insole is starting to fray and some spots are worn through. Not what I expected from llbean.

Not the L.L. Bean quality I've been accustomed to for decades! I purchased these back in the summer for winter wear in the evenings. The lining already is ripped and worn in both slippers and they have hardly been worn. They have been used very little, in fact, not every evening but I would say 4 out of 7 evenings, for approximately 3-4 hours at a time. Only worn in the house and I'm not very active. I am sorry but I cannot recommend these slippers. Thank you.

Ordered these slippers and was impressed with the quality and workmanship but they were way too tight. I ordered a size 11 the same size that I wear in the camp mocs from LL Bean. These slippers only come in full sizes, I was afraid to order the size 12. I returned the slippers.

I liked the quality of the stitching on the outside of this slipper, but the flannel lining is very thin and started wearing through in the heel area in 5 months. I returned for a credit. I'll try an unlined slipper next time.

These are very comfortable, nice fitting slippers. The only issue is that I started to see that the flannel lining was wearing out after 6 months of use. After nearly a year, both slippers have the inner lining worn out to the leather. Will be exchanging with the leather lined version.

They look good and are mostly comfortable. However, I have a small bump on the top inside of each foot. There is a seam with a hard leather edge under the tongue about where the bow is. It didn't take long before the leather edge started cutting into the bumps. Might work for you if the tops of your feet are pretty flat, otherwise, stay away from these.

Very comfortable and stylish, the slipper's flannel lining is too thin to withstand normal usage. May have to return.

They look nice and fit OK, but the leather is hard and stiff - not comfortable for indoor comfort-wear.

We have previously had great success with the flannel-lined slippers--they were soft, comfortable, and durable. They were so durable, in fact, that it had been several years since we last ordered them. In the meantime, apparently, the style/construction changed. The new slippers are of a much firmer leather. The width is more narrow, and the length was too long. My husband normally wears a 9 1/2 shoe, so the recommendation was to order a size up. The slipper arrived and was way too long, such that his foot was slipping out of the shoe. I re-ordered in a 9, and that seems to fit much better. I kept the size 10 slipper for myself instead of returning it, but that may have been a mistake. The slipper is so narrow that it causes my feet to cramp. I know that it is recommended that the slipper be worn and that it will stretch, I'm just not sure how long that will take or if my feet will take it. My husband does like his slippers, now that he has the right size.

my slippers arrived today. My excitement was quickly replaced by disappointment. Slippers were too narrow, and very tight at the instep. I have owned a pair of the Bison leather slippers from LL Bean for almost a decade and loved them, but these ones paled in comparison. sending them back.

Beautiful moc/slippers with one major downfall: the flannel inside wears out quickly. I've never gotten these wet or even worn them to the mailbox yet the flannel has worn away at the heel. I would think this is a unique situation but I bought the identical pair years ago and within months gave them to Goodwill because the flannel at the heel and toe area was gone. I'm clueless as to why LL Bean (absolutely my favorite clothing company) doesn't glue a thin leather heel pad over the flannel. If that were the case, these would be a 5 star hands down. Note: I bought these in late December, two months ago.

Within one month of purchase the outside stitching at the heel started to become undone. Within 9 months after purhase, the flannel lining is worn through at both the heel and toe ends of both slippers. L.L. Bean, being true to their wood, is replacing the slippers at no cost

The stitching that joins the foot bed to the upper is weak and breaks. Also the flannel lining will wear through on daily use, had to return

I hate to rate such nice slippers so low but there are two issues I found with mine: 1. the smaller issue the rubbery sole sticks on carpets and I've actually stumbled as a result (that's dangerous), and 2. THE BIG ISSUE is that I wore holes in the heel of the flannel lining in a couple months. I wish LL Bean would put a thin leather heel pad over the flannel. This would probably jump my rating to 5 stars.
