My shoe size is 12-1/2 so following the instructions I ordered a 13. Simply to large and I returned them to a local LLB store. I reordered size 12 and they fit perfectly and I have now worn them for two consecutive weeks with no issue. Sizing appears to be 1/2 size larger but otherwise all fit well. The laces are a bit rigid but presumably with use they will become more flexible.

I took a new job that required more of a khaki / button down look and needed matching shoes that would work in an outside environment as well. As I have custom insoles due to a knee injury, I am very picky about my footwear, I was not surprised when they fit perfectly in these shoes and in turn felt great all day long. They are just as well built as the LL Bean back pack that I've had for nearly 20 years that is still in great condition and has seen multiple world-wide trips. The laces are especially strong matched with solid reinforced metal eye holes in the shoe. They were comfortable all day right out of the box and require little to no maintenance. This is the perfect business casual shoe for khakis. Spend the money and you will get what you pay for every time. The sales rep at the store I purchased them from even went out of his way to explain the lifetime warranty policy, even if they are worn (within reason) they will take them in exchange for another LL Bean item because they want to ensure the customer's satisfaction. Can't beat that these days. A++ all around.

Just received a pair of these and I'm very pleased. I usually order an E width which wasn't available with these but the fit is very good. Very comfortable shoe.

As stated, these are true to size. I have spent several days of city walking in these, and with no break-in period needed, they have been a wonderful surprise. What a solid and comfortable shoe!

Stonington oxford shoes are well-made but are extremely stiff and will take a long time to break in.

Sturdy, good value, good look as well. Wish they came in an Oxford style.

Very comfortable, nice fit and good looking. Would be 5 stars except for the laces that will not stay tied. If you walk you will be tying your shoes every half mile. I'll get new laces and they'll be great.

This is a winter shoe, it is foam insulated. No leather.

Almost stops all rocks from tracking inside. The thin line between center and outside sole picks up small gravel. If it was one solid sole the pattern would prevent all rocks

Nice enough shoe, seems well made. I purchased the same size as my current Rockport Walkers and I found them a little tight around the toes. it could be the difference in styling. I plan to get them stretched at a shoe repair store. I am wearing them, just wish they felt a little bigger in the front. But sizes are a tricky thing; I have purchased pants before in the same size from even the same brand, and they don't fit the same. All in all a good shoe so far.

I put them on out of the box after a polish and shine..Have been wearing them every day since at work and walks..They are very comfortable and true to size (12)...Lightweight...Only negative observation is the outer sole bottom is wearing pretty fast..Need a tougher material as I fear sole will wear out fast..Hope I'm wrong...

The heels are too wide for me and I don't normally have that problem. Other than that, the shoe is fine. Ask me again in a year or two when I can tell you how they wear.

Comfortable shoe - looks nice with Khaki pants. They're lightweight, but a little wide for my foot.

The shoes look great and are pretty comfortable. Love the way they look; a nice balance between classy and comfortable.

I never give five out of five, but there is nothing wrong with this shoe. It always look "good enough" for formal occasions or casual events. It just blends in. I was done with Keen's and needed to find something that was comfy and worked for work.

My husband desires to be shoeless. But having recently had a stroke and one foot does not have much sensation, I've convinced him he needed to have shoes, especially for the winter. To my great surprise, he loves these shoes! They are well constructed and true leather upper, unlike so many competitors shoes. Look great with casual everyday or for dress nice. We'll be back in a few months to say how they're holding up, but we have high expectations!

A good looking rugged shoe good for the rainy PNW fall and winter weather. I normally wear size 11 in most shoes and size 11 was recommended by the size guide but a size 10 1/2 would probably fit much better, I put some Dr. Scholl's foot pads in them and they fit fine. These shoes run large so size down if in doubt.

Good shoe, just a little big. Not sure going down a half size would matter though.

These shoes are comfortable from first wearing. Fit well. This is the second pair I have purchased and one difference between the two is that this pair squeak. After months of wearing the squeak persists.
