Just bought these - look likek the right kind of shoe to wear all day ... work, play, all of it. Ordered the EE width - have worn that in LLB shoes, Clark shoes, and Merrell shoes. The EE width isn't EE, it's more like D, E to be generous. Took out the (nice) insole, and they fit well, albeit snug. Made in Vietnam, and other clothing from there had "unusual" sizing, sometimes (much) larger, sometimes (like now) much smaller. Be fearful if you order REGULAR width!

Perfect fit out if the box. No break-in required. Very well made and comfortable from the first steps. The sole cushions your steps nicely without being spongy. Tread pattern doesnt pick up soil.

I love the look of the shoe, but the wide size rubs against my ankles too much. Had to order the wide for the bigger toebox.

These shoes are by far the best work shoe Ive ever owned !! I work on a horse farm in Kentucky at night working 8-12 hour shifts in all kinds of weather. They fit perfect, are comfortable and most important are waterproof. I hope LL Bean makes them forever !!

Great looking leather shoes, lots of room for the toes, nice insole with moderate arch, and shockingly light. They weigh nothing which I cannot explain in a heavy leather shoe like this. The roomy toe box and the very light weight and comfortable insole makes them extremely comfortable, great to wear walking or hanging around on your feet for a long time. My new favorite shoes

Same great show as I purchased last year! Great fit, incredibly comfortable, fits my orthotics and looks great. No complaints!

My husband loves his new shoes for winter wear. They are very sturdy and look like work shoes which is fine because he wears them with his new flannel lined jeans to do outdoor greeting at our church services. He is disappointed that the ties won't stay tied. He even waxed them with bow string wax but did no good. I have to go buy replacement shoe strings today. The size 13 fits him perfectly. Even in Kansas we get below 0 temps at times with wind chill projected to be -40 F tomorrow! These shoes will be perfect for the cold.

Love the color love the look. But on one of the shoes at the top, maybe a manufactures defect: uncomfortable/pain. Only in 1shoe.

The outer soles of that pair could have worn better over three years of occasional use, given sparse wear during the Pandemic. In that time the soles wore down to the point of exposing the heel. I found a local shoemaker who replaced the outer sole for more than half the price I paid for them. So good but not great.

Comfortable right out of the box. True size. A great value as always with Bean. Ive been a loyal Bean customer for over 50 years.

These shoes are comfortable, and economic. They also provide a professional or stylish appearance depending on what you match them with. Highly recommended.

Its great shoe, and feels very good, for long walks. However the toe part is too stiff, it feels like a work boots.

My shoes arrived sooner than I expected. They fit perfectly and felt like I'd been wearing them for months ratner than minutes as soon as I put them on. I'm very pleased with the way they look. I expect to wear them every day for for as long as they last. My last pair (Bass shoes) lasted for at least 15 years of daily wear. I recomnend these shoes.

Laces move around, so nearly everyday you go to put them on, one side of the lace is longer, significantly, than the other. And I really don't want to tie a knot in between the two toe holes.

I received these shoes yesterday, and am very pleased, with this exception. The color is considerably darker than that shown in the pictures. I'm not returning them, because of their comfort, but am disappointed that the color is not as advertised.

I am getting ready to order my third pair. My work takes me to commercial shipyards on at least a weekly basis and these shoes are both comfortable and rugged. Climbing ladders and walking on wet or icy decks are not a problem. Good quality leather that polishes up nicely too.

The shoe is stylish, light, and comfortable in stride. I've worn them twice, yesterday being the second, and hoping for many more walks together. Thank you.

These are very good shoes. I really like them. They are sort of like having a work boot only in the style of a shoe. But here's the bonus. If you love to tie your shoes, then by all means buy these. You'll be tying and retying them 3, 4 or more times a day. Each shoe! I don't know what LLBean is thinking with these shoelaces other than design over function. They look nice, but they simply don't work as shoelaces. They are made of a very hard material (shellac maybe?) that doesn't allow them to crimp on themselves, which is my best guess of how shoelaces stay tied, and why these won't. You can tug and pull them tight all you want but within a matter of an hour or two (especially if you're active in them) they will at best get loose, and at worst be completely untied. Obviously I could go out and buy another pair, but to date I'm lazy.

I love to make sawdust and this has become my shoe to wear in my shop.

I purchased about 11 months ago and was immediately satisfied with fit, comfort, and look. I had not, until recently, been in a wet situation with these shoes. To my great disappointment, my feet got wet from a simple walk in dew covered grass. I'm surprised to see other reviews which praise water resistance. Did I get a defective pair? I'll continue to enjoy these, but just not as the all purpose shoe I had expected.

Quality shoe, great design But size was way too big even though previously ordered shoes fit great at size 12.
