This shoe is very well made. It doesn't really look dressy, but it can be used as a cross between work and casual.

LL Bean no longer carries the previous shoes I bought so I gave these a try. The shoes are very comfortable to wear. The waterproofing is holding up well so far. My only issue is on floors that are wet from rain or snow they do not grip as good as my previous pair. Have to be careful to avoid slipping. All good when its dry.

These shoes are very comfortable out of the box. I do have one complaint and that is with the laces. They kept coming undone, sometimes even when I'd double tie them. I purchased a different set of laces and all is good.

Perhaps the most comfortable shoe right out of the box. Just a tad narrow for my foot. Well made. Have worn it constantly for about three weeks, and would certainly buy another.

This is a very fine shoe. It is a bit bigger (width and length) than my usual size 11 shoe, but I can accommodate this with a heavier sock. I have several trail shoes and was seeking a street/light trail shoe, and this one works well as it can be worn with jeans and dressier slacks. I hope that the shoe wears well and lasts a good while. A good alternative for your shoe line.

The shoe fits well, comfortable and very light. The only downside is I wouldn't recommend for long walks, otherwise I'm pleased with this purchase.

I bought these because I was looking for a rugged type of shoe that could be comfortable to my feet, warm, and dry. I guess 2 out of 3 isn't bad, and I'm not sure its your fault, but the shoe just not comfortable to my feet. I am going to try putting a thin layer of foam in before my feet go in and see how that works,

Nice shoe but runs small compared to the other shoes I've purchased from Bean.

Shoes look good and soles are comfortable. True to size. Tongue of shoe is too long and tends to cut into top of foot, however. Fortunately, the tongue is reasonably padded. More problematic is the height and angle of the inside/back of the shoe, which strikes the back of the heel in an uncomfortable manner.

Bought these for my husband to replace his size 12 Mountainside oxfords which are no longer available. Unfortunately these are very stiff, more like a boot and not comfortable. Bought size 11.5 based on reviews, but they were too tight. Size 12 was a better fit but not comfortable as noted.

Whoever wrote "sneaker slike comfort and support either never wore good athletic shoes or didn't wear the Stonington oxfords. I bought these 13W for a winter trip and wanted shoes for wear on the plane and in the city in non snow environments. I have been wearing these shoes for a few months and just can't love the fit and comfort. The length and width in the toe box is fine but my heel slides around. The laces are prone to come untied so double knowts are necessary, which kind of negates the intent of a comfortable shoe for traversing airports and the TSA line.
The appearance and materials are good. perhaps they will work better for someone else. I think I will try to find a hiking shoe

well constructed shoe, looks sturdy and built to last. however for me the hight of the side leather panels on the outside of the shoe are just a wee bit too high, they impede my ankle.

Like many products this shoe is a victim of "shrink-flation". Leather, laces, sole, etc. are of cheap thin "quality". Hard to find well made shoes anywhere. Returned.

I love the looks of these shoes, but I have two issues with them. The first being that the laces don't stay tied sometimes, which can get annoying if you have to re-tie them multiple times in a single outing. The second more severe flaw is that the front end of the outsole separated from the midsole on my pair of shoes and given that I rarely wear these shoes it was quite a shock for this to happen in less than a year (and as such, I will return them). I tested if this was just a fluke with my pair in particular by attempting to test for separation between the outsole and midsole with a fingernail on a new pair, and sure enough a fingernail can easily dig between the two layers. The adhesive used in manufacturing must not be strong enough to hold them together tight enough.

Comfortable shoes, but they wore out very fast due to the foam sole.

Really heavy on weight. I thought I was buying a lighter shoe. Well built however very stiff and high in back. I got blisters in on first day. Probably will be fine when they are broke in more.

The 10.5 was too narrow in the toe. The 11 was too lose overall. The shoe is a little stiff and heavy and the tongue dug into my ankle.

The shoe is very comfortable, and true to size. I liked the color shown in all of the ads I had seen, and was very disappointed that the shoe I received is considerably darker.

I bought these because Im more confident in the LL Bean Brand than most others. The shoes is made well but not as comfortable as I hoped them to be. The shoe strings also constantly come untied. There has got to be a better type of shoe string to go with this shoe. I was hoping to wear these on a daily basis at work, but now I am searching for a more comfortable shoe Still a good brand, still a good company just not as comfortable as what I thought they would be.

I only like nubuck shoes; leather is always heavier and feels too harsh and constricting on my feet. I didn't buy these shoes but might have if they were black and had regular dressy looking soles. Please make it happen this year. Thank you.

I would rate the shoe a strong 9, the laces however a minus 5. They will not stay tight and need to be retied many times a day. A sad testament to a good shoe to have to buy new laces to use.
