Like anyone, I suppose, I was cautious about buying footware online because of the potential chore of reboxing & returning a pair of shoes that didn't fit. So I 'gulped' and ordered two different but similar models. This first pair, the Stonington Plain Toe, fit PERFECTLY. I just got back from a 2 mile walk while wearing them. I had no discomfort, no skin redness, nothing wrong at all!! What a great experience all the way through.

Perfect fit and very comfortable right out of the box.

I normally take a wide shoe, at least on one foot, and this medium width fits perfectly with a pair of heavy socks for colder weather. It appears to be exceptionally well made. It's a little heavier than normal for indoor foot wear but actually somewhat lighter than usual for an outdoor activity or work shoe. It's very comfortable and I think Bean offers it at a fair price relative to quality. I have not tested it in heavy snow or rain yet.

These shoes are super comfortable. The fit is great and the soles have just the right amount of cushion. I feel like I could walk in them all day. The leather is good quality as well.

Sturdy, light, and very comfortable. These shoes have replaced another pair of work shoes that simply wore out after 10+ years service. I'm delighted.

Love these shoes! They go perfectly with chinos of any color and especially look good with the British khaki color. Fit is true to size. Extremely comfortable. Would purchase again.

I've purchased a very similar Stonington shoe before and find this one to be equally comfortable, non-marking ( a must in the boat business), and durable. Just a slight style difference, but the same great shoe.

My husband bought these shoes to replace an older pair of work shoes. He LOVES these shoes. He said they were totally comfortable and broken in from the first time he put them on. He can't say enough good things about these shoes. Great for work. He sits at his desk most of the day, but usually at least once a day he has to deliver equipment to patient, or run to hospital. He said these shoes are the most comfortable shoes he's ever had.

The shoe felt good right out of the box, no.breaking in time. Size was right on. Very happy with it.

These shoes look great and are very comfortable. I wear them to the office everyday and they have been very reliable when it's rainy.

I got these about a year ago, and just love them. I was looking for a pair of comfy and nice looking shoes to wear to the office. These shoes nailed it.

This shoe was an excellent fit in size 12D, true to size. The brown color was darker than shown in photo online, which was fine. But I returned them after talking with Customer Service. After two weeks of constant wear, my right heel became very sore. I use custom, prescription orthotics. The shoe's light construction did not provide the support I need. After about three weeks back in my 10-year old Red Wing oxfords, my foot problem is resolved.

I took a chance because buying shoes online can be tricky. That said I'm very happy with them. Great comfort and style. Quality excellent. I'm not surprised at all.
