LL Bean makes great shoes. But now and then there's an issue, which happened with me. I called customer service and spoke with Dawn, she listened to the problem I was having and within five minutes she had put an order in to replace my Stonington Oxfords and today three days later my new pair arrived. I owned/managed two leather stores for many years that sold lots and lots of footwear. My normal size is 9M. These shoes run a half size long. The second pair I ordered was an 8.5M which was too narrow. Finally ordered an 8.5W. Very comfy. Nice leather. Well made.

Comfortable right out of the box. Almost no break in time and great support for long days on your feet.

The shoes are very comfortable. The leather is nice and breaking in well. The size estimator put me in an 8 1/2 wide. Had to exchange for a 7 1/2 wide. I would have expected to wear a 7 1/2 but trusted the estimate. That's why I say they run true to size. I'll wear them for a long time.

These shoes will put you to sleep due to their comfort.

I decided to give these oxfords a try as I own Bean Boots and like their quality & craftmanship. These did not dissapoint! Comfortable and silent sole doesn't make noise.

This is a great fitting shoe. Feels really nice on the feet. The quality is there with this shoe.

This is my second pair of these shoes. I ordered them a little larger to put insoles in them but the size seem right. They hold up nice and look great. They are a heavy shoe.

I bought this shoe for casual wear. It is comfortable out of the box, true to size, not dressy but still something I can wear with jeans or khakis. I am looking forward to years of good use.

I don't know if LL Bean will edit this out, but I have been buying Rockport World Tour walking shoes from them for years. Recently they have not been as comfortable as usual. I've noticed that LL Bean, at least in the catalog, no longer sells Rockport, so I needed to find a new oxford to wear. These shoes are the best I've worn in years. . There was a two hour break in, and that was it. There is plenty of support, and I need it, but also an adequate amount of cushion and comfort. I highly recommend these shoes.
