I got these to use for training, outdoor shooting, and other tactical style training. Very sturdy and well made

I bought a 1/2 size up because of reading the other reviews, the toe box needs to be a little wider for my feet. Comfortable & warm boots, perfect for relaxed winter wear or a light off-duty boot (don't know yet if it would hold up to duty wear). Love the color with black and gum, my favorite combo.

This is a great shoe, very light weight and comfortable. However, I've worn sz 12 in Vans my whole life. Several pairs of ultra range and civilware ultra range also sz 12. These Uktrarange MTE run SMALL! I thought at first it was just stiff materials, and my big toe was maybe an 1/16th from touching the end, so I thought I'd wear them to break them in. Nope, super tight, narrow and run a full size small in length. If I could, I'd exchange them for sz 13 but I've already worn them and the sale is off, so instead learn from me. GREAT SHOE, go a half size to a size up so you can enjoy them.

Pro: awesome boot/shoe hybrid. Super comfy and breathable. Looks sick, Con: Sizing is small. Narrow toe. Normally 10 in all Vans but 10.5 in this.

Good grip and decent amount of material to keep your feet warm. The toe box, like others have said is narrow, you might want to go a size bigger.

I live in Idaho, and the shoes keep my feet warm, and I feel less nervous about falling on the icy ground. However, they are too tight. Next time, I will order a size up.

I believe I got a size 13, and to my understanding it's the largest size available at Van's. I'm breaking the shoe in but I would say that a size 14 would be perfect. I'm usually a size 12-13 but it really depends on the brand.

I love this shoe. The looks and how it feels wearing it. Very comfortable except tight at the toes. The toe box is a little narrow and tight that's why I dropped one star.

I wear these almost everyday as a woman who works full-time as a landscaper. This is the second pair I've purchased. I bought them a month before a hiking trip with my dad. I wanted plenty of time to break them in for the hike. I wear them for work where I walk a lot, dig holes to plant trees and shrubs, and climb in and out of trucks. I then wore them when my dad and I climbed Mt. Elbert near Leadville, CO. Although we didn't summit (for a variety of reasons), we did make it to 12,500ft and I wore these for the whole hike. The only time they started bothering my feet was on the last hour or so on the hike back down. (But I imagine that my feet would have hurt after that big of a hike regardless of the footwear.) I still wear these basically everyday for work and they show minimal wear, even after constant wear for 5 months. They're still comfy and not too hot for my feet even though they do have a lining for warmth on the inside. Whenever they wear out, I'll definitely purchase another pair.

I got these boots for my 911 job. However, they've only lasted a couple months before they are no longer comfortable. But I have high expectations and put my boots through 12 hour paramedic school shifts in the hospital. They hurt my feet after 12 hours now.

After owning both a pair of ultra range shoes and a pair of MTEs, these were a no brainer. Fair price, but be warned that they fit pretty snug. After wearing them for a day they packed down a bit and were much more comfortable. I get a little discomfort in my toe still, but I think as I keep wearing them they'll be just right. So, four stars for now. We'll see how they hold up through the winter, but I'm not terribly concerned.

I work outside in all weather and these shoes are great. Durable and comfortable, I did order a half size bigger than normal and they fit perfectly!

I Wear women's size 9, had to size up to 9.5. Have worn for yard work and urban exploring and was not disappointed. Surprisingly very comfortable.

I wish the laces were longer so I could lace them all the way up and still be able to tie them

I love the way they look not sure about the feel Cause I haven't had a chance to brake them in completely yet and i think i may have purchased them a little late in the season my feet were quite warm and sweaty

Like most have said, order a half size larger. The laces are too short.

I've worn Vans slip ons my whole life, for everything. Recently I thought "I want like Vans hiking shoes" and one internet later I was getting ads for these! I love them straight up, except I've always worn the same size Vans and if you plan on hiking with thick socks I would go a half size up!

They are very good-looking, the insole sticks up on one side and digs into the side of your foot. But, the more you wear them the more the insole will wear down.
