Wanted to love him, but ran way too small

First pair of Vans I haven't enjoyed. I'll be looking to replace the foot beds as they have too think of an edge.

Bought these because they look nice and I like to hike. Was supposed to do a 5 mile hike but I couldn't stand the pain from the right show hurting my right toe. Left shoe was fine, but the right caused blisters. I'm really hoping it's a manufacturing issue. They really hurt.

These shoes look good on paper but the fit is far from ideal. I usually wear an 11.5 but buy vans in a 12 to be safe. Trying these on for the first time with regular cotton socks was a snug fit, almost tight. After thinking they needed to be "broken in" I took them on their first hike. It was wet and water immediately began seeping in. This hike left both shoes with a permanent dark brown stain on the toe and proceeded to shrink them further. They are almost unwearable despite attempts to soften them and get them back to the fit they were (which off the shelf was too tight). They also run extremely narrow which - after going to a Vans store and speaking to a clerk - is a known issue with these an all other MTE's other than the sk8. Extremely disappointed. I feel the resolution is to buy a size 13 which may help this issue but these are now unusable after only one hike.

I had to return them, it hurt my feet just sitting in them not tied, couldn't imagine walking in them.

Just got them a day or two ago worn pretty much the entire time. Toe box is so tight my feet are killing me. I don't have wide feet. I bought two pairs and both feel the exact same. What a waste of money.

This is my second pair of MTE and I got another pair coz I love 'em! So comfortable and you can wear 'em all day. The 2nd pair I got were more narrower on the toe side and just doesn't feel good. Not the same as the first I bought. Probably from a different factory. So final say, I don't like it. I'm disappointed.

This is my 4th pair. The others were amazing! This pair arrived with the toe and sides coming apart, which increased after a week. I emailed customer service and they were really quick with a response. They wanted me to send this pair back and then wait for a refund (vans credit). Reminds me of the mail in rebate days. I just told them thank you and I will just find another brand. This sucks, the quality and style was amazing with my previous pairs.

Pricey for how terrible they are made. Diamond shaped sole pieces peeling in less than 2 weeks. Even the smallest amount of morning dew gets your toes wet immediately.

Like the way they look but crushed my feet even with a 1/2 size larger than wear. And I don't even wear a wide .

If you do get these I recommend sizing up if you have wide feet. They are painful and I cnat wear them. So sad about it because they are cool looking.

This style did not fit to my size as the SK8 -HI - MTE-2 fits. There also appeared to be a Defect in the left shoe. I sent them back and bought 2 more sets of the SK8 - HI - MTE - 2

The bottom soul of the shoe on the hill side is already pilling off. I've only wore them twice. I took them to play disc golf hoping they would be good for the outdoors. I was really excited for them until this happened.

I bought a ultrarange shoe five years ago and loved it. Based on that, i wanted a lighter, more comfortable boot for all day use at work. But this boot is obscenely narrow. Completely backwards from the aforementioned shoe. Disappointed.

I work @ Seatac airport in SEATTLE PNW its very wet most the year. I wear them to load planes out on the ramp in snow rain & dry conditions. 10 hours a day. These shoes hurt my feet from the first time I out them on. Very disappointing coming from vans. They are WAY TO TIGHT in the toe & not comfortable at all. I thought maybe I judt needed to break them in but even after a couple months they still hurt. I rather not wear them but I already spent the money on them. Worst buy I've ever made from Vans.

It's not so great because I'm unable to purchase a pair. Please make available!

size 13 after one day of mild use glue is allready coming undone on sole. very dissapointed and store would not exchange for new pair. do not buy.

I was very excited to receive the shoes but was disappointed to see that the shoes I received did not match the product pictures displayed on the website. Instead of the gum toe, it's just grey. It may seem like a small detail, but that makes a difference from a normal black shoe or something with contrast. I thought maybe if I wear them I would start liking them. Instead, I cannot help but feel like I was misled due to the advertising.

Check out the pics. It's a small detail, but it's not what's shown and it's not what I ordered. I included one image from the website to show the difference. Decided not to return or order again because they'll likely just show up the same, and we can't all afford to order another pair while waiting for a refund. So online buyer beware. They're not the boots shown on the website. There aren't any other design options for these boots either, so I don't even know where these came from. I wanted what I was shown, not what's laying around left over somewhere. Shame.
