I forget the lady's name, but she was SUPER helpful and was able to identify that this order had not actually shipped. Somewhere there was a breakdown in logistics. She then expedited the order and I got it in two days.

These are really nice socks

My hiking shoes have very hard soles. Great for rocky terrain but with little or no cushioning, not so comfortable for long hikes. No room for aftermarket insoles, so these full cushion socks made them so cozy and comfortable. A real game changer.

Bought these to wear on a trip to Rome and Athens as we will be walking a lot. Have tried them out a few times since I got them and think they are going to work great! Very comfortable and much better than the normal cotton socks I wear most days!

Best socks I have ever owned hands down. Socks are very different for different people because we all have different shaped feet. So my review is based on the way they fit my shaped foot. I have narrow feet meaning my feet are not thick in height, medium arch and size 12. I just don't have a lot of fat on my feet so I like a cushioned sock for all shoes. These have enough cushion to protect the bottom, top and ankle area. What I have found is that for me more cushion does not always mean better. Going through dozens of socks these have a great balance of padding, thickness, come up far enough on my calf and they do conform to foot without being too loose nor too tight. These are also a higher Merino wool percentage than a lot of their other socks at 67 percent. That alone has perks. The price point for these socks Is also much lower than all their other socks but the quality is there just not fancy patterns. The sock stays put on your foot because it has a band that conforms around your foot and the toe box stitching is great and does not bunch up at the toe area like some socks. I do agree with other reviewers that this sock does fit snug BUT that does relax after being on your foot for a little while which in my opinion is great because you know your sock is not bunching up in your shoe. I have tried almost every brand from Darn tough to Ice Breaker and these win hands down. Something about the way they stitch them is unique compared to other brands I just do not technically know. I wear these year round. Start with one pair and make your own mind up. Wool shrinks so if your foot size is 12 go with the XL. It's not that much bigger and gives the sock room to shrink some without affecting the fit on your foot. I have had size L and they worked but switched to XL and am much happier. I have washed these like a normal garment for years but that does cause the gradual shrinkage so XL is better in the long run. Size L will work with a size 12 foot though. Good for boots and low cut hiking shoes.

This pair of nice thick, soft wool socks made an excellent Christmas present for someone I didn't know how to buy for. They were impressed and appreciated the nice gift.

Very comfortable and warm. Also important to me is the moisture wicking properties which keep my feet dry and reduce odor, whether you're wearing these socks just to walk around the house or for a good hike.

These are my go to socks for fall, winter and spring in Colorado. They are warm when it's cold, not too hot on mild days, wear well and wash up perfectly. Every year I keep returning to this basic sock. It's the best.
