Was very underwhelmed, did not fit in any sort of flattering manner and was too big. I returned this coat about three weeks ago and still haven't gotten a refund. Hoping soon.

I was super excited when I got this as a gift- warm and fits well. However, the buttons on the hood consistently pop off. It is so frustrating and have almost lost the hood countless times. RETURN.

I give 1 star ONLY because the hood snaps are pure garbage. If i just touch the hood 1 snap guarenteed to pop open and like acain reaction the others join the party. You've been warned. However, the hood is roomy enough for my big head. It also gives a full look meaning the coat looks best with the hood attached, The sleeves are very long. Its a fact bc I have long arms, sleeves barely ever fit me. These sleeves reach my hand! Love it! Didn't like it at 1sr bc my coat doesnt match the photo. My hem is longer in the back and shortens toward the front ie...hi-low, a swing coat but not exactly. if you are large breasted and big butt this coat will fit. Im thin and dont have neither so I should've sized down. Ionly been wearing this coat maybe 3 days a week for about 6 weeks and I see 3 long white threads unraveling under the collar....my coat is black! Scared to cut them. So far I still like the coat even tho the hood is a major headache. How am I supposed to be fashionable if the hood is popped off on 1 or both sides and Im in these streets reattaching it every 10 mins?

Too big size is off

Recieved as gift, have to return. The most annoying thing is the HOOD, the snaps are so cheap and it keeps falling off with any movement. Not warm enough for snow and water resistant enough for rain.

Runs small. I returned the jacket with the prepaid label and after several weeks have not received a refund. Didn't realize I needed to take a photo of the label to be able to track it.

Not sure what went wrong but this coat is nothing like what I expected. The quality is horrible, and for the cost of the coat, not at all worth it. Unfortunately I will be returning to store.

Really disappointed that the hood is so awful. The snaps will not stay on at all.

I'm a big fan of Northface outerwear, which seems to last forever. I finally decided to buy a new parka and I thought the Metropolis would be the answer to my parka quest. Unfortunately, the styling didn't work for me, so I had to return it.

Very flattering and fits well. Extremely warm. However the hood absolutely ruins this coat. If you breathe on it, it will come off. I also don't like that the logo isn't sewn. I would avoid this jacket.

Would never buy this product again. I'm covered in feathers whenever I wear this parka. Totally unacceptable.

XXL size is cut weird, or at least for my body type. The waist was too high and it made my body look very disproportionate. Looks nice on smaller sizes, doesn't fit well in the larger size. Wish the add photos would have models in multiple sizes. The hood does snap off super easy, although if the coat would have fit my body, It would have been an easy fix to either ditch the hood or add little eyelets to the ends so it doesn't pop off so easy. I did also try an XL in the store, and if it was cut a little different would have been a perfect fit.

Had to return apparently it was defective feathers were every where i was not happy

I would not recommend nor waste my money on this coat it is poorly made cheap and paper thin

So disappointed. I have several down jackets from North Face and all are very warm and well made. This is a pathetic excuse for an expensive down coat.

This down parka is the worst purchase I made. After wearing it I'm covered with down feathers!! I'm stuck in winter now with this terrible jacket. So pricey too. Not good North Face. And I can't get any north face support on this.

The jacket itself is nice but the snap on hood is a nightmare, everytime I pick up my jacket the hood falls off, very annoying, it even unsnaps itself when I'm wearing it. Will not be buying again

I have a 2009 Metropolis parka that has held up remarkably well but now showing it's age was thinking about replacing it the last few years & retiring mine for dog walks. I have tried on the newest iterations & have come away without purchasing & very disappointed. Everything about the parka feels & looks like a much cheaper version of what I still own. Sadly, this parka will never measure up what I expect for the money & I will move on to another brand with higher quality parkas even if it costs more to last longer.

I live in Chicago, and for the winter heavy downs are must! I was excited to try The North Face, because I've seen the brand for years now, and just thought why not give the brand a try for my "every-day winter coat." The North Face is way too hyped up! I could tell by the way it was packaged the coat would be thin, and upon trying it on I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I felt like if I were to walk outside in the bitter cold, I'd love wearing something not as heavy as a hoodie and that the cold would rip right through me. The down layer is VERY thin, and for the coat to be a medium the sleeves were very short. I had high hopes that this coat would keep me warm, but I promptly sent the coat back, and will not be ordering again. For the price, I expected something durable and heavy but the coat was nothing like expected. Very thin, very lightweight. Honestly, don't know why people order The North Face, I won't be trying it out again.

The overall coat is so warm, long and cozy. However, the hood is terrible! Many times I've grabbed my coat by the hood only to be left with the hood on my hand. Very disappointed with the cheap plastic snaps that are meant to hold it up.

I waited my entire adult life to purchase a North Face jacket. I had always wanted one, as they had such a reputation for quality. I have worn this coat a handful of times...the feathers are coming out all over the place. The zipper is already broken. The snaps on the hood are so cheap, that if you pick the jacket up by the hood the snaps let go and the hood comes right off. I am so disappointed, words cannot describe.

Super disappointed with the quality. The hood comes off constantly due to cheaply made snaps. I have literally LOST the hood twice, and now it is gone for good. A grown adult wearing the jacket as designed should not be afraid of loosing the hood to their expensive winter jacket.
