I returned it because it was too tight fitting

I LOVED my original Metropolis. Wore it for 15 years. Finally ordered a replacement. So disappointed no placard with snap closure; the added elastic at waist makes an already puffy coat look like a balloon tied in middle

Nice jacket. I bought on sale the wrong size and there was no way to exchange it so I had to return it and ended up not buying another because I could not get the discount.

Nice color, warm and comfortable but do not like the way it fits. Looking to exchange for a smaller size, hopefully will look more fitted as opposed to bulky

The arms are so small/tight on this coat. I bought for my sister who's size is a true Medium and she couldn't wear with a sweater on.

It's a nice enough jacket, it lacks frills for the price point in my opinion. It runs a little small and I would assume due to it being a more fitted coat. I got it on sale so I'm not sad about it.

I like the quality on some north face jacket. I'm disappointed with the style lately is ugly and the fit is hit or miss.

The coat is very warm and stylish. The buttons on the hoodie constantly open. That's my only complaint. Other than that, great coat!

I purchased this coat because I am a crossing guard at a school. I wanted something warm for those cold Illinois winters. I have been in some negative temperatures and the coat has kept me warm. My biggest complaint is the hood. It does not stay attached. It is the most infuriating thing. I go to hang my coat up and it comes I clipped, it even comes I clipped when I pull my hood up on my head. I recently got a hole in this coat from my snow blower and all the feathers are coming out. Since the hood annoyed me everyday I decided to purchase a completely different coat.

Bought to wear in Canada. Didn't think would be warm enough so I returned it.

I have had my jacket for less than one month and worn it only a handful of times & the feathers are coming out all over the jacket! The last one I had lasted me such a long time and was way better quality. Not sure if I received one that just wasn't up to quality standard but really bummed I spent so much money for a jacket that may only get me through one winter.

Bought a large (which is my normal size) But is too tight across the chest. If you are busty buy an extra large. Returning

I am a long time North Face parka-wearer and had to recently had to replace my most loved coat when it had seen better days. I was hoping this would be a similar parka, however I disliked the fit. The Metropolis parka is narrow or cinched in at the waist-- did not like this fit nor did I feel it was flattering. The fit was normal in the remainder of the coat, but I feel I would have trouble wearing a sweater/sweatshirt under the parka due to the narrowed midsection. Returned this one.

I have always loved this jacket and recommend it to friends. I recently bought a new one and the hood does not stay attached. It's very frustrating and makes me second guess if I should get this again.

Originally purchased the Breast Cancer awareness version of the Metropolis Parka. On day 2 of wearing the parka, the outer seam on the right sleeve burst open. Exchanged it for the regular Metropolis Parka and disappointed that this version uses a sticker logo, whereas the Breast Cancer awareness version uses an embroidered logo. The quality of North Face products over the past 20 years has gone downhill.

This was a present for my wife. The hoodie came so easy off my wife was afraid to loose it. She wished it was attached with a zipper. Feather started to come out. Other than that the jacket was warm and fit very good.

If you're bigger chested this jacket is a little tight. The contouring around the waist seems to make it a little tighter on the chest. I'm 5' 8" 140 lbs and I ordered a medium and felt it was a little too tight. I then ordered a large and it was too frumpy. So I returned them both.

Super comfy but just too big. I am curveless and this shape didn't work for me. I have the metropolis jacket from like 7+ years ago and I loved it. I like the down improvement and the feel but just too big on the lower half for me. My usual size is small.

Initially pleased as it took a long time to find a knee-length coat that is lovely and soft and the packable type I wanted. The hood is a good shape, and the soft inner collar nice. I love the pink jazzy lining. However, I am 5'7" with 40 inch chest and hips, 34 inch waist and the coat made me look so heavy: The idea of a shaped waist to try to make it less bulky doesn't work- it made me look really fat. Also the waist is too high and can't be adjusted. The large is a trim fit.

Kinda disappointed. The North Face logo is not stitched in. And the snaps on the hood are plastic. They are the worst!! They come unsnapped at the touch of the hood!!

Nice looking jacket. Runs small IMO in the chest and arms. I returned it, for this reason.

If you like to wear your coats fitted to show the style of the coat then it is true to size. I like how the waist cinches in the back . For the cost the jacket is too plain, it's about average with warmth. I would size up if you want to wear layers. I'm 5'7 166 pounds and can fit a thin hoodie under a medium size
