Bought these just after Xmas 2018 and have been wearing them almost daily. I decided to try them despite the comments about how hard they are to put on. I have not-pretty ankles or feet due to many years of sprains and working standing up for hours. And I have no trouble putting these on. Either they modified the style or other commenters aren't just stepping into them. True enough they might be hard to pull on but I just step into them and go. They are warm and great on ice. They aren't like wearing ice cleats for really slick ice but they are so much better than any boots I've ever had. I often wear them all day and they are super comfy, like a good pair of hikers. Ok LLBean, don't change a thing about these! I'll buy more when this pair wears out.

I needed a pair of boots to walk the mountain..my left foot is numb from a nerve injury and always cold. these boots are sturdy, they hold my foot easily while walking and they are so warm. It took a shoehorn to get the left on due to my foot, but once on, they are perfect. Thank You

The first pair of boots that are comfortable to wear with my bad feet. I think the arctic grip works but I'm such a chicken that I still put the ice grips over them when it's bad out. And the good news to that is they fit good over them unlike other boots.

We had an ice storm, (not uncommon in Chicagoland area) and these boots kept me from slipping and sliding while walking my dog, and venturing from my jeep through the work parking lot as well as other simple adventures. They kept me safe from falling on the ice. I would highly reccomend them to others!

When I first received the shoes it was a bit stiff and awkward to get on. I stayed with it and after a few times they are great, very comfortable, waterproof and warm. I was looking for something to go out and shop etc in snow in cold and they really fit the bill...I didn't want a big boot, these are great

The shoe fits good but it is a little tight, at first, when putting them on but it loosen up after awhile. I use a shoehorn to put them on.

I like to walk year round in Northern New England. These shoes are perfect for walking on cold days on those back dirt roads, which always have a layer of snow/ice in the winter. They are warm but light weight, and get a good grip on the slippery stuff. They are tough to put on at first but that gets easier with use. They are comfortable enough to walk a few miles in.

Loved the fit. A little tough to get on if you have a high instep but once on with help of shoe horn, they feel great. They fit true to size with medium weight socks

I purchased these a few months ago & have worn them every day since. I found them to be true to size, comfortable & when paired with the wool ragg socks you have warm, dry feet all day long. There is nothing that will keep you from slipping on ice other than wearing spikes on your boots, but I found these to work very well in snow, slush & mildly icy conditions. I'm actually a bit sad to see winter go because I won't have reason to wear them until next winter. I would highly recommend these shoes.

Love, love this storm chaser shoes. It's so convenient that its a slip on. I wear it to work everyday and pretty much anywhere since we got a lot of snow lately here in Wisconsin and walking on snow and slushy road is a breeze. Some reviewer mentioned that its a bit tight on entry. I agree. I use a shoe horn so that took care of the problem. Its a tad loose once my foot was inside the shoes so I solved the problem by buying a Dr. Scholl's ( $1.97 at Walmart) and cut it to size and tuck it underneath the insole and problem went a way. Its hard to please everyone. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Based on other reviews, I ordered the next size up from my normal size to accommodate winter socks. There was no need. They are too large. I am ordering another pair in my normal size. As for putting them on, no problem. Maybe because they are too big but I can just wiggle them on without a shoe horn.
However, despite size issue, I gave them a 5 because they are very, very comfortable, warm and waterproof. And they look nice.

These boots are great. There is a lot of ice this year and I just slip these on to run outside for chores, run errands, or even to go to church (hey, it's NH). I ordered them in my hiking boot size, a 1/2 size larger than my street shoe size. No trouble getting them on or off, and they are fine with medium or heavy socks. For work in my duck yard, though, where ducky splashing makes for thick ice, I use Stabilizer Maxx with tall boots instead.

These shoes are amazing!!! This was a challenging Winter in New England and these shoes kept me sure footed. Ice, Snow, Sand, etc. I used to fear falling, this year was a breeze:) I am buying my mom a pair for next winter. I cannot believe the grip these shoes offer.

I purchased a pair for my husband, and then decided I could use a pair. They are excellent for outdoor weather. My feet have remained warm and dry, and so far, have had a good non-slip feature, as we've encountered ice while walking. Needless to say, I'm very pleased with them.

When I saw the Youtube/Newbury St. video, I immediately ordered His & Her pairs for us.
When the shoes arrived, the soles were stiff like hiking shoes. Fortunately, the soles have gotten more supple as I wear them. They are more comfortable for walking than my snow boots.
Since we purchased the slip on style, I keep a shoe horn next the shoes. It's easy to slip in/out of the shoes each time we go out of the house. Without the shoe horn, the high friction lining can be a challenge. Use the shoe horn, and the issue goes away!

I have a womens 11 medium. I normally wear an 10 or 11 wide and these fit perfectly. They were a bit snug but have loosened up as I wear them and the padding packs down a bit. I would for sure buy these again.

Tight getting on but as I wear getting easier to put on. Lightweight so not heavy when walking. I wore them for 12 hours in Pigeon Forge and they were comfortable, feet warm when outside in cold and comfortable when inside. I have nephropathy and these shoes felt good all day. Very pleased.

I sent for these since we have a half mile walk to our Michigan mailbox and I thought they would be perfect for cold and ice. These are perfect for that! I have been wearing them on daily walks since the day they came. I haven't really had much ice to try them on, but they keep my feet toasty. I definitely would buy again. Very comfortable! They fit just a little loose but the stretchy elasic type fabric around the ankle grabs and keeps them on snuggly. I like them this way because when it is cold, a nice warm sock will fit great. I wear a 7 medium and I ordered a 7. 5 star from me and I don't often give them.

A little tough yo put on, need to use the loop in the back, comes off much easier. These are heavier than I expected, but are good for muddy gardening.

These shoes are great, but WAY too hard to put on, especially since I have to sit down to put them on, and the soles can damage flooringso it's a problem.
