I call these my winter shoes. They slide on, fit securely, keep my feet warm and dry and slide off when I come home. My husband asked for a pair for himself.

I haven't had these shoes for too long, and our Wisconsin weather has been unusual. I'm really hoping for some snow/sleet to wear these slip-ons and see how they are on slippery surfaces. I did end up returning my 10s for an 11. They were just a little snug while wearing a sock. But I LOVE THESE SHOES. I like the look, they are super comfortable. Also, I am barefoot in the house, and they are so easy to slip on for a quick trip out with the dog.

This is my second pair of these boots as my previous pair finally wore out after several years. These are indeed a bit of a pain to get on in the beginning, but by the second day of on and off they were much easier, and the snugger fit keeps them on my feet more securely over uneven ground. They are seriously warm and the soles have good grip for icy walkways.

I was looking for a shoe to wear when walking the dogs on rainy or snowy days and this shoe is perfect. They do run big and I'm a size 6 which is the smallest size this shoe comes in so I bought it even though it is a little loose. Keeps my feet dry and good traction. It was worth the money.

I worried about the size and about whether or not I could just slip them on. Well, I wear an 8 in regular shoes and an 8 fit perfectly in the storm chaser with and without socks. I slip them on without bending over or pulling them on. I just slip my foot right in. We have had several frosts already and they keep my feet nice snd warm when I am out with the dogs early in the morning and when I go out to take care of my chickens. The grip is great too. No slipping or sliding. It was a great buy.

After wearing these out and about for a day or so, I ended up cutting off the little pull loops, fore, and aft. As I use a shoehorn to put these on, they are useless to me, and end up getting tangled up in my pants leg. Very comfortable! Glad I purchased these.

I almost didn't buy these, based on the reviews! I am so glad I took a chance! I was ready for the soup cans, as one reviewer suggested. However, with my handy dandy shoehorn, that I always use, my foot slipped right in! I sized up a half size to a 10. If I can get a wide a 9.5 will do, but as these didn't come in a wide, I went with a 10. Room for a sock, or just fine without any. Shoe collar is different from the one shown in the catalog, so, maybe they changed it? Either way, I am glad I took the chance. Now, to just get the proper weather to test them out!

I purchased these boots for walking my dogs in the winter and they haven't disappointed. The opening is a little small, but that keeps the snow and slush out. Also, my feet are narrow so I just slip my foot slightly sideways and toes first, and they go in without too much trouble. I am a size 61/2 in my other shoes, and that's the size I purchased. My feet are always warm and dry, and I feel like I have a very good grip on the ground when I'm walking. Very glad I purchased these and highly recommend them.

Although I tried only once (thankfully the winter has been kind to us), I believe these shoes will ease my anxiety walking the dog in the dark early in the morning. They are challenging to put on, even ordering a half size up, but hoping in time, it will become easier. This would not stop me from ordering a back up pair. Very pleased, don't hesitate.

I have a pair of these (earlier version) in brown and wear them in Hawaii during the rainy season. When I recently moved to Alaska, these shoes were the first I thought of. My feet stay warm and dry. I ordered black because it was a requirement by my program.

As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the boot is somewhat difficult to put on, but that is my only complaint. The boot fits well and is the most comfortable winter boot I've ever owned.

Perfect boots in every way! Walk with confidence on icy walkways. I would suggest ordering a full size up from your shoe size to wear a heavy sock. Regardless, your feet will remain warm with a light weight sock with the Storm Chaser boots!

Before I purchased these boots I read the reviews. Many were positive but a few mentioned the narrowness of the boots collar. As a result, I was prepared for a slight challenge when putting on the boots. I was not prepared for having to spend 5 minutes per foot to tug the boots onto my feet. The collar was beyond tight! Once on my feet, the boots fit perfectly and were extremely comfortable. Instead of sending them back, I wedged a soup can into the foot opening of each boot and left them overnight. In the morning the foot opening was soup can shaped but I was easily able to put the boots on. In the following days the collar has grown smaller but not the original tightness.
The boots are light, comfortable and warm. Most importantly, they are good on the ice as I found out in my driveway this evening. I am glad I used the cans and had patience. These are great boots!

The women's storm chaser with arctic grip slip on shoes are GREAT for running/walking my dogs in lovely Wisconsin winters. Warm, light weight, waterproof, very comfortable and excellent non-slip. They are my go to winter "running shoe" and these hit the mark perfectly! The non-slip arctic grip is excellent, I feel much more sure footing with them. Will you slip with them? Perhaps but MUCH less than any other winter boot/shoes. I use the LLBean gaiters makes them the best in deeper snow & wet slush. Some complained about the challenging "pull on aspect" all I can say is they fit so nicely, snugly with thick wool socks, super comfortable! Just pull them on with the back ankle loop, no problem! Love these!! They won't disappoint.

I love these boots/snow shoes! They are SO warm and snug and the perfect height because the narrow opening keeps snow/rain out. They are great when you don't want to wear a higher shaft clunky/heavy boot. The narrow opening was a little snug at first but after a few times wearing them, they are loosened up and very easy to get in and out of. My only disappointment is they don't offer the gray color anymore and the black and brown colors are more drab to me.

I walk my dog at 4:30 AM on icy Michigan sidewalks. These solved the problem of hitting icy patches in the dark. I have slipped many times when wearing regular boots. These added to my confidence and safety.

I have worked in a greenhouse for years and these are by far the best Bean boot I have tried. Over the years have worn the moccasin, bean boot, and now the storm chaser. Will only wear these from now on! No laces to tie, thick sole, great support, feet stay dry all year long!
Love these shoes!

I can't say enough good things about these boots. Yes, they were difficult to put on the first few times because the cuff is meant to fit snugly so snow and moisture don't get in. I just kind of pushed my foot in and they were on. Since then they are easy to put on and the cuff has remained snug enough to keep everything out. They really grip on ice, of which we had a lot last winter. They transitioned into spring with mud and more snow. I even (hate to admit it) wore them to clean my corral this summer because they can be rinsed off easily and they are super comfortable and have great support and grip. I love, love, love these boots. Please don't change a thing about these -- I will buy more someday when these wear out - IF they wear out.

These are true to size and allow for a thick sock to be worn. Little hard getting on at first but fit like a glove once you get your foot into it. A shoehorn would solve that issue until they loosen up with wear. Very comfortable! I would definitely recommend them for snow and slushy conditions.

Love, love, love these shoes! They're snug getting them on but that's what the back pull tab is there for and it works rather nicely. Very comfortable. I've had a total knee replacement and used to be afraid of falling but not any more. The soles provide a superior grip and I can walk with confidence on slippery, icy surfaces. I got the gray and so glad I did. Looks great compared to the brown.
