Shoe is attractive and well made, but did not give me the support I was looking for.

Very comfortable, I am on my feet all day and gave great support

The shoe runs a bit narrow. The back of the shoe is too low for me, and my heel doesn't stay in the shoe.

The shoes fit great. I could instantly feel the quality the minute I put them on.

I use my custom orthotics in them, and the fit and support is great.

Purchased an 11 wide. These new shoes are at least 1 size smaller and narrower than my New Balance 840V4

Altho they were long enough they were quite a bit tighter than my other wide shoes by New Balance, but most of all I felt my feet were rolling inward like walking more on the inside of my foot than evenly as should be.

Great fit. seems very comfortable.

I am SO glad I found these shoes. I have a difficult time finding shoes that fit well and are comfortable; these do it all. I wear a wide width, and these have a narrow enough heel that they don't slip when I walk. They have good arch support which hits my foot in the right place, unlike other shoes I have had. New Balance, please keep making these shoes!

The fit of the shoe was pretty good, however, it caused knee pain after a week of walking in it. I have worn 840v4 and the technology has changed on the 840v5. Apparently, I can't take those changes. I wish New Balance kept things the same.

These shoes felt comfortable from the moment I put them on. They look a little clunkier than I anticipated but they’ll be fine.

Hard, weird tilt to my foot. I sent these back right away. I purchased the NB 680V7 which has a totally different fit for my foot.

Finally, a shoe that fits! I am experiencing exactly what I'd heard about. As we age, our feet change and mine have became quite wide, a D. I tried and sent back several different brands from 5 1/2 to 6 medium and wide in a running-walking sneaker. The 5/12 wide were too big so I gave it one more try and went down a half size. Perfect. I bought this sneaker in the black color too. I wish it came in more colors I'd get a third pair.

I really liked these however the toe box was a little too wide even with my bunion. They felt too bulky for me.

These shoes fit my feet perfectly! They provide excellent arch support and are just what I needed.

I have to agree with other reviewers -- New Balance sizing seems to have gotten smaller over the years. I used to always wear an 8.5 in NB but these shoes were extremely short. I have also recently tried other styles of NB (at a local retailer) and discovered that I now have to start with a size 9.0. My recommendation is to size up at least a half size.

Bought 1/2 size larger to get the new balance toe space, amazingly good, actually the whole toe space is comfortable and roomy may not have had to get a larger size

I ordered 10wide. This shoe was not wide enough , and it was too short and too narrow in the toe box area. I always wear 10 wide and usually like New Balance.

The size fits great and the people at Zappos are great! They will go out of their way to keep their customers happy. I will keep ordering from Zappos in the future! Thank you, Zappos!

Great shoe, enough room to place my ortho in. Good color, good fit. Thank you as New Balance seems very hard to find these days.

Comfortable shoe

Oh my goodness...this shoe is just what the doctor ordered. I have a broken metatarsal on my right foot but needed a new set of shoes for the left and for when I can take off my "moon" boot on the right. Hoka's make me feel like I have two large pillows strapped to my feet when I walk, but this shoe feels just right! I have very narrow feet with bunions, so the medium width is just perfect. I was able to put in my own insoles which makes these shoes even more comfortable. I purchased my first set of these at the New Balance store, and now was able to buy this second set of shoes in an alternate color from Zappos. They are super comfortable overall with no 'break in' period required. Style is cuter when on. So thankful I found these so I can enjoy walking my dog.

I have worn New Balance 840v4 for years, but this 840v5 is much too wide in the instep, and I have to return them. It also doesn't look as well made - for example, the area around the laces used to be stitched, but is now just a piece of plastic.

These look great on, but I never knew NB had gone out of style and came back because I wear them due to back issues and standing-needing support. This pair was a bit tighter than my others, but these have not been broken in. The tongue isn’t as long, but is just fine. They look a little more white than blue or other colors, but were worth it. Thank you to the man who referred me to these shoes when I couldn’t do 3 errands a day. Having broken vertebrae, etc will always keep me with NB.
