I am a teacher with lower back issues in the lumbar area in L4 and L5. This shoe has been a lifesaver! I can wear it to work with my slacks, and the Admin are fine with it being "business casual" enough. I hope you never stop making it in black for this reason.

This is a great everyday shoe. It is so comfortable I want to wear it all the time. It also has a cute, unique look. If you are on the fence, go for it!

I had bought the Lone Pine 7 just by chance and that was my first Altra shoe. I liked it so much that I bought the Alpine. I can walk in both shoes all day pain free. What a gift it has been.

Most comfortable shoe ever, no breaking in required. I have these in a few colors and wear them for work(as a nurse), errands, social activities and play. All-around Awesome

Walking ALL day. On my feet 12 hours a day on rock and gravel. I just wish this shoe was waterproof.

I walk a lot and my alpine shoes are so perfect. My toes have room to move naturally and my feet feel very balanced and supported. I've nothing bad to say.

I love these shoes! The roomy toe box is awesome. I walk in mine every day. They are light and roomy, perfect for warm summer walking. I loved the first pair so much I purchased a second pair in a different color. There is one more color available and I plan to order those soon. My favorite shoes!

This is my second pair and I will probably get another u in case they change. This is by far the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned I absolutely love them!!!

These shoes are cute and also good for my getting rid of my foot issues with the wide box toe that I can also wear a separator if wanted. I like them.

I love these hiking shoes! I've taken them on a few trails where the terrain was rocky. These shoes have excellent grip and give me confidence to hike up and down trails easily. They're super comfy!!

My street shoes size is 8, however, I got the black ones in size 8.5 to accommodate thick socks for the cold weather. I liked them so much that I decided to get another pair. I had been debating about buying the Taupe ones (and, I may yet), but when I saw the color Sand, I couldn't turn them down for summer wear. I got size 8 and they fit perfect with thin socks. I stated in the review of the black ones, 7 months ago that there didn't seem to be that much of an arch support, but the sand ones don't seem to have that feeling. It might be due to the different sizes and sock thickness. Anyway, they are both keepers. I really like the new feature on your website that indicates widths of the shoe; original, standard or slim. I would like to see the fit choices in a dropdown feature like the size, cushioning, color, etc. That would eliminate having to search through all styles to find the ones with the original fit. Thank you, Altra, for fixing my foot problems!

My job entails putting a lot of miles on foot and these are like walking on clouds. I love that they aren't "sporty" and can be worn with many different outfits. My favorite pair of Altras yet! Praying these never go out of production.
