I bought these shoes just before leaving for a hiking trip in Sedona, Joshua Tree & Death Valley. There was no break in period, they felt great from day one! Love the toe box room & great traction!

I've been using these as my every day shoe - work, errands, dog walks, etc, but could easily see them as great for the trail as well. Love the fit, so comfortable on my toes, and the color is great too!

I swear by these shoes and can't go to work without them. Please make more. The size 8.5 in sand color is never in stock anymore.

The Long Peak 9 in my usual size was just a tiny bit too short, with my toes touching the front of the shoe. Sizing up half a size is perfect for me. It took several orders/returns to figure that out, but the half size bigger was definitely better, especially as I tend to wear thicker socks with these. (Of note, the Olympus 2 fits my feet perfectly in my usual size. I love those too!) The sole on my last pair of Lone Peak 8s was pretty worn after a year of intermittent use (alternated with Olympus 2), though the top is still in excellent condition. The LP 8s also have a lot better tread and grip for improving winter weather traction in parking lots etc., better than the Olympus 2. Hopefully the LP 9s will grip just as well (they feel like they will). I will continue to alternate between them as conditions and use dictates. Overall, I LOVE Altra shoes and will continue to recommend them!

Please keep making these shoes. Especially in black/grey.

These are my every day shoe. I had the taupe for a little over a year wearing every day, I work on my feet and it's time to replace them. They got holes in the top more quickly than they should IMO but I do wear them every day so I'm not sure. I would love if yall brought back taupe, it was a fantastic colorway. I'm buying grey and hoping it's just as neutral but I want the taupe.

I'm really enjoying these shoes! They have a wide toe box to accommodate the bunion I have and yet they're still really fashionable. They're light as air and super comfortable! I highly recommend them!

I was on a minimalist shoe kick but got plantar fasciitis after running a race and needed cushion in my shoes. I'm so happy that Altra makes zero drop, wide toe box shoes with cushion! I LOVE these! I was wearing them everywhere so finally needed to buy another pair specifically for the gym and walks. My Alpines will continue to be my 'lifestyle' sneaker. :)

I love my LP Alpine! Super comfortable! I wear them for errands around town, dog walking , gym. Looking forward to hiking with them! I bought the grey. Not such a pink fan. Wishing for a waterproof version!

I have very complicated feet and very few shoe choices. This and the lems drifter are my everything everyday shoes. These are the only sneaker/hiking adjacent shoe I've ever put on and had instant comfort. ZERO breaking in. I've had 2 pairs, each lasted a little over a year with heavy use (uneven heal wear reason for replacement - uppers still going strong, I'd call them very durable overall) My only request is for the love of god bring back the charcoal color with dark sole! Some of us actually do life in these things and don't have the time or inclination to clean our shoes on a weekly basis. These shoes are good looking - but they're also my hiking shoes!! and my gardening shoes, and my walk the dog in the PNW rain shoes...and I want them to look decent enough to go out and about without having to freakin clean them!

I bought my first pair July '23 for a trip to Japan. We logged 20k steps everyday on concrete and I never had any fatigue. They became my daily shoes after that. Now 12 months later I replaced them.

Please never discontinue this!!! This is my everyday shoe I love it. It's comfortable like the classic lone peak but looks super cool and casual.

Finally, a somewhat neutral choice in the Original footshape! I wish it didn't have the peach accents, but I am desperate. If you are listening, Alta, please make a less clunky Original footshape casual shoe in beige without any accent colors and without any black. If you did, I would buy a new pair every year.

I loved my first pair of Altras so much I bought I second pair. These are just as comfy but a little more stylish for everyday wear. Very happy!

Shoe is comfortable, I like the leathery/suede look. The feel is a bit more flexible than the standard Lone Peak. Sand color is WAY more white than tan. Toe box wider than same size of Lone Peak - photo

This was my first pair of Altras. I walk a lot, sometimes on sidewalks and sometimes on nearby trails/hills/beaches so I wanted something between a tennis shoe and a hiking shoe for everyday wear. This is the most comfortable and best fitting shoe I have ever worn. Feels true to size but with the natural shaped toe box. I am already planning to replace my work shoes and gym shoes with Altras. I got the Sand color, which is super cute but scuffs. Easy to clean with a suede eraser

I love the LP Alpine for my long daily walks. I need the original wide toe box. Please restock in taupe and black in all sizes. The light colors are not conducive to trails because they get dirty. Thank you.

Using it for hiking and walking.

I ordered 1/2 size bigger (based on a review I read ) than I usually wear and I think I should've stuck with my regular size.

This is my second pair. Starting to love zero gravity in the way I feel connected to the ground. As comfortable as slippers, large toe box and super light weight. Just love them. My only issue is the no skid treads appear to wear pretty fast. Might need a more durable pair for more rigorous hiking.

Wore these through 4 southern African countries. They were very comfortable and appropriate for business meetings with officials in the US embassy and then on safari. Great shoes!

Only shoe I brought on 3 months of European travel and miles of walking every day. Comfy, durable, quick drying, wide toe box. The reason they worked is that the all black shoes were just dressy enough to go everywhere - even fancy restaurants, museums, parties. Now Altra has let the stock of all blacks in my size run out. Please restock ALL BLACK! Need size 8.5
