Excellent shoes! I just wore them for a month straight on a trip to Asia and my feet felt great even walking 30,000 steps/day on concrete! They feel slightly larger than my lone peaks and I probably could have sized down 1/2 a size but the fit still works. I highly recommend them! They are holding up better than my lone peaks which started to fray at the top corners by the laces within a few wears.

My wife and I both bought a pair for walking and hiking. They are really comfortable and provide great traction in wet slippery conditions. They seem well built and they look good.

I work on these shoes I have this kind and then I have the lone peak 7 that I also work in. I love these shoes my feet never hurt after a 12 hour shift on concrete. I will definitely come back for more pair.

Shoes were comfortable from the start. Have done two hikes in them, one on pavement on our local city trail and the other off road. Both were comfortable and the shoes feel like bedroom slippers - soft and forgiving. But they provide the needed support so I can feel steady on rough surfaces as I have a bad knee and I like stability.

After foot surgery, Altra was one of top recommentations from my amazing podiatrist. Although the particular Altra LP Aline he suggested was no longer available, I chose the one I am SO happy I got, after speaking over the phone with associate April in Las Vegas. I am going to order another pair today if it's still available. After years of being an avid, daily runner, it was such a letdown to become a walking hiker and not charging up hills. No matter any more; my podiatrist solved my toe issues and the soles on these particular shoes are so perfect for me, I feel as though I am walking on marshmallows. Concrete sidewalks: ha! I can use 'em now. Rocks? No problem. You have to have the right surgeon with experience and empathy to have the successful outcome I feel I have as a senior citizen.

For an inclosed shoe I wear a 10. In open shoes I wear a 9/9.5. I went with a 10 and it is PERFECT. I wear a normal sock, but can also add a thick sock. I will be getting more for sure!!!

Bought these recently for a hiking trip and they worked out perfectly. I didn't break them in before hiking and I wasn't left with any foot pain! I have a bad bunion on one foot, so I normally wouldn't be able to get away with that. I ordered my usual 10 which felt too short in length. I swapped them out for 10.5 and they fit perfectly.

I purchased these one week before a trip to Spain to walk from Sarria to Santiago. Almost no break in required. I had happy feet the entire way. They are ultra light but protected my feet from rocky trails and cobbled streets. Provide good traction on some slippery surfaces.
I like that they also blend in with city sight seeing.
They have been my every day walking shoes since I have returned.
So far the tread is holding up. I am not sure how they would do on a more rugged trail.

I have a pair of Lone Peaks but wanted something a bit 'fancier' for a 3 week trip to Italy. I knew we were going to be doing a lot of walking on uneven surfaces and also planned to hike the Path of the Gods. The Alpines are fantastic. Great fit, light and cool, excellent grip. With all the walking I did, my feet remained comfortable. They were perfect for the trip and I wore them every day! I have comfortable walking sandals but the Alpines were just better. Will make these my constant traveling shoes.

These shoes are great for the in-between weather when it is raining but not too hard. If you stay out of puddles, your feet will stay dry.

I walk 2-5 miles at work every day and these are holding up great, except I would not recommend the light beige/peach color. Within a day they had dark scuffs all over. Most of it wipes off.

I'm fairly new to zero drop and finding it very comfortable. I have been trying barefoot shoes a bit, but like the option of having more cushion. I find these very comfortable and now have them in two colors.

Most comfortable shoe I have found in 55 years of walking in the Northwest. Big toe box. Cute. Wear daily and they still look new. Soles not wearing.

These hikers have worked out well for me! It's the only pair of hikers I've had where I did not get blisters on my little toes after a hike or too. It works well for my bunion too. Very comfortable and I love the style and color for other uses.

I'd prefer to give it 4.5 stars for lack of color choices, but decided to star-up for comfort, durability, and functionality. I'm definitely buying additional pairs and LOVE the original fit. I wish there were more styles to choose from in original fit.
I've had these shoes for over a year, hike, walk, and run errands in these shoes while they look in great condition (I don't make it a habit of jumping through mud puddles though).
They were recommended to me by my daughters, I've recommended to other family and friends as well. Keep up the good work...and just add a few fun colors to this style while also maintaining these traditional colors.

I absolutely love these shoes. They are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. The space for my toes to spread out is wonderful and they have good arch support (I have relatively high arches). They are breathable but don’t let in a lot of dirt and dust like a lot of breathable shoe fabrics. And they are cute too! I am buying another pair because I’m afraid they will stop making them and I won’t be able to get them again.

I have bought many athletic shoes and never had the comfort of walking miles without severe corn pain in my little toe and the one next to it. I have used corn pads, removers, toe covers and all stop helping alter walking a few hours! We recently went on vacation and I was so comfortable with these shoes that I actually forgot to wear the corn pads. My feet swell a bit when it's hot and I could still wiggle my toes while wearing these shoes! I'm shopping for my next pair!

If you're a woman walker, maybe not a runner or mountain climber though - like me - you will love this shoe. It's made to fit a real foot with lots of toe room. It's light weight so you're not spending energy just picking up your feet. It looks nice - casual but nice enough for work too. I wear mine every walk I take, and I hope you will too!

I use these shoes as a homemaker and homeschool mom. They make me feel great. I love the textures of the suade and hemp, and they do not feel too hot. They can slide on more easily than my Lone Peaks 6's, if you don't want to bother with lacing and tying, but be careful because I don't think the hemp material will hold up to that very well.

I use this product for every day wear and I love them! I have bunions from the regular-popular slim fit shoes (ie Nike, QC, etc.) and these shoes do not give me pain or bunion pressure.
