I love the Solstice, I've had at least a dozen or so pairs and have seen the progression from the original solstice, to the xt, and now the xt2. These are perfect, couldn't be happier with them. So far this pair has lastest the longest, the toe protection really does a good job of keeping the big toe from wearing out and still feels very flexible and natural feeling. These also can deal with slight dew on grass better than previous versions. I'll be a repeat customer, these are the only shoes I wear, work, play, and running 3x week+.

I switched to Altra Torins a year ago for running. Then in the last 3 months I started doing alot more HIIT (via F45). I tried No Bull and Reebok first but both were awful, no padding, too much angle. These have been perfect for my feet. I can feel the ground, there's excellent heal stability, no crazy angle AND theres enough cushiness for the days with alot of jumping. Highly recommend! Only downside are colors, some other options would be nice :)

This is my first running shoe meant for a natural foot shape and wow, what a game changer. So much more comfort. My feet feel like they breathe so much better and they're a very light shoe. Great buy.

Nice fit and very wide around the toes. Low cushion which is what I was looking for. Wish there were more colors such as an all black.

Ran in Altras for many years. When I started playing pickleball I had a hard time finding a shoe that was as comfortable is Altras. I tried the Solstice and it was excellent. Soles wear a long time. And they are very comfortable. Would recommend taking a few walks to break in the soles prior to taking them to the PB court.

This is my first zero drop training shoe & they are wonderful. I switched from Nike Free TR shoes and won't go back. Used for weights, plyometrics, and cardio. True to size with wide toe box.

I was looking for a pair of cross-training shoes for my functional gym workouts, both cardio and strength. After about a month of daily workouts the Solstice fits the bill. I initially thought that the shoes might be too light compared to the tennis shoes I wore before, but not the case. If I were to change anything, I'd make the shoelaces a bit longer (or maybe my fingers are just not nimble enough :)

I wanted court shoes for pickleball that didn't make my feet hurt after a couple hours and these fit the bill! Good traction, comfy, just enough cushy enough on the sole and light. I just wish they came in a color other than black or white (boring!). Can you at least do a red?!?!

An amazing shoe. I was skeptical because the advertisement for this shoe stated it was a little stiffer. I have really high arches and need to stay away from stuff. It this shoe is perfect. I am a woman but I always buy a shoe that is a little wider because I hate for a shoe to squeeze my foot. Perfect fit, perfect style, perfect ride.

It is a little sturdier than my escalantes which is perfect for long days/errands. The rubber on the toes saved my sock from a coffee spill too.

I have several different pairs of ultra's for hiking and trail running. I am on my second pair of these, great for the gym. Use them at home for kettlebells and the concept 2. Average durability, but that's fine with me. I wish they made a golf version of this shoe, I would buy a pair in a second.

I use them for working out. I bought the black pair and they were great. Then when the second generation came out in white, I had to buy it. Best looking shoe Altra makes.

I have been using these shoes since they were released a few weeks ago. I have really enjoyed wearing them (I gym 7 days a week, 90 minute weight lift session and 60 minute cardio) and have been pleasantly surprised with the shoes aesthetically. They feel stable, and the sole of the shoe feels like it's meant to help you keep your center of gravity, which it does well. The only caveat I have. I don't know if this is because I have always had wider feet, but I recently used these shoes to run for 60 minutes on a treadmill. I usually jump rope or use the assault bike or just walk, but on this particular day I was feeling sporty. I went in at a moderate pace, and felt great after. The next day I couldn't put any weight on my left foot. I seem to have irritated or mildly injured my cuboid, and developed cuboid syndrome. I don't think I will wear these for running any more and caution anyone else who has wider feet to take caution. It has been about 3 days now and I can't place pressure on my foot.

I have tried basically all the zero drop (or close to) gym shoes. Almost none of them are truly wide enough for someone with a big foot that is adapted to barefoot living. I desire some cushion... but need zero drop truly wide forefoot. These allow my toes to splay... only complaints would be semi-shallow heel cup (might just remove the insoles) and kinda tight on the top of my toes (seems to be stretching out) I also liked the Flux runners, but they has a high stack height. Just squatted in these yesterday and it was the first time in a long time I didn't feel like I had to take off the shoes in order to feel grounded. I tend to destroy shoes, but I don't rope climb... so hopefully these will last. I kinda wish they had a more "runner" style lacing system so I could lock the upper part of my foot in better. Nothing is perfect. but at least these are truly wide enough for toe splay. It's amazing how many companies are advertising "barefoot" shoes and the forefoot is barely wider than a standard shoe... Please do not change the shape of these trainers!! Hope this gives some insight. I'm a size 13 with high arches and a high volume foot. These fit the bill... seem true to size.

For my trail/running shoes I wear men's 9.5, some toe space (thumb width) for swelling and downhilling. That's a mistake for these, should've ordered a half or full size down.

Overall great shoe, toe-box is wide enough for me. Mid-foot is a bit snug though. My only real beef is the shoe laces, they are too short! Can barely tie a bow, even 2 more inches would help a lot.

I like these shoes and wear these almost every day. I also use them at the gym 4 - 5 times pet week. The only downside is that they seem to wear out quickly around the metatarsal.
