I started CrossFit back in 2005 and have tried every HIT shoe out there. This is the best and most comfortable one I've ever had period!

As a father of 3 boys I need to adapt without warning. This weekend I played tennis, soccer, hiked, and walked around SF in these shoes and loved every minute. I am thinking about buying a second pair in black.

Just bought the shoes. They look great. Fit is wanting, a bit.
My toes are pushing out the outside of the shoe. I can see them pushing through the mesh. I thought they'd be wider given that Altra is known for their wide toe box shoes (or so I thought).
Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend the shoe to anyone with wide feet. If you have narrow feet, go for it.

Good - They have the potential to be a great cross trainer. The only issues I have are the cons that I will mention. I can still use them even though I'm having some issues.
Bad - The heal cup feels like it's not deep enough or something. They rub the bottom of my achilles which is uncomfortable, but not to the point where they are unwearable. I have had eight other pair of Altra running shoes and haven't had this issue. I bought these on 10/15/22 and the sole is already starting to come off at the balls of my feet. Haven't had this issue either with any of my Altra shoes. The tongue started to come apart on one of my shoes after I had only had them a month.

Fantastic shoes. I can run and train in these, then look stylish in the white version on the streets (per my teenagers). Thumbs up.

These shoes are excellent. My feet felt right at home as soon as I put them on. They're zero drop, of course, but don't look goofy like most other zero drop training shoes on the market. Clean look, quality construction, and great fit. Extremely comfortable as well. Highly recommended.

very lightweight, wide toe box, the caged construction holds the shoe to the instep. I've a very narrow (slim) size 15 foot. the heal support is smooth and holds foot well. I appreciate Zappo's customer service. i ordered 2 pairs, a size 14 and a 15 so could get the size rite.

I'm a fan of the fit, and the ability for my feet and toes to splay properly. However, I have major durability issues with the shoe. I've had them less than 2 months and the soles are already failing.

I wish this came in the Original Shape and/or in Wide Width. This is the only shoe I could find that I could use in the gym and to play pickleball.
I do not understand why Altra is moving away from the Original Fit. This was such a wonderfully niche brand for wide widths and seemed to value foot shaped vs. shoe shaped designs. Why are they moving towards tighter, narrower fits?! If y'all are only going to have one shoe for gym/training, please make a wide option!!
For context, I am a Women's 11 Wide in the Lone Peak 6 - Original Fit. I knew the Women's version of the Solstice would be too small, so I tried a Men's 10.

I'm a huge fan of Altra running shoes, but I also happen to do some bodybuilding. Well I figured I'd give their "training" shoes a go and they have completely fallen apart in less than 3 months of using them ONLY AT THE GYM.
The soles have come apart from the sides, so when you're on the leg press, for example, your feet will start to slide even more because of this. I figured "whatever I'll just deal with that annoyance" but it was raining one day when I left the gym, and because the soles have come apart, water pits in through the bott of the shoe.
I wanted to start a warranty claim, but I was so annoyed by the process that I just gave up - also I do not want another pair of these.

This is a good walk around shoe. It is not for running, not for hiking, not for the gym. But perfect for walking around town. Looks good with jeans or khakis.

I've ran in these several times, use them for work every day, was a little nervous with reviews and some coming apart issues, but it seems to be holding together great so far. Love them.

I have been using the Solstice XT2 for Pickleball and it's a great shoe: lightweight, supportive, and responsive. I won't use traditional court shoes ever again.

I am a 6'1" 195lb male 4.0 Pball Player recovering from Plantar. I got the Solstice XT2 to supplement my Xero shoes (love) for a little bit of cushion that I need on the court. Hope they hold up.

I wouldn't recommend this shoe as a daily road trainer, but for crossfit or HiiTs or general athletic stuff this show is super comfy and does exactly what you want it to do. Its a great alternative to the harshness of the 5 fingers shoes. Has a little cushion for jumping boxes, burpees and the running intervals in the gym. I actually wear them around the office and at home as well and my feet feel much happier not crammed up. I actually came from the Hoka world and now I never want to look at them again. Will try Altra trail shoes next purchase.

My go to shoe was reebok Nano 2.0. I was looking for a running shoe and purchased an Altra running shoe (forget the name style). It was the most comfortable shoe I ever put on.
The only thing was, I wasn't used to that much cushioning. I then bought the Gym/training shoe (solstice) the shoe fit was perfect, it was the Goldie locks of cushioning, just right. Now I have to get a 3rd pair as a regular everyday shoe.

Excellent shoe for walking and going to the gym. Definitely wouldn't run in them but that's not what these shoes are for. Would recommend to someone looking for a daily walking shoe.

New gym shoes. A lot of foot on the ground. I really like the minimalist feel of the shoe.
Great choice for leg day!

Extremely pleased with the purchase. These shoes give me a wider toe box and it really fits my feet well. The cushioning is excellent and it really protects my well knees well. I will definitely buy these shoes again.
