I've been wearing Cascadias since... the single digit models. I had to part ways for a few years due to being in between sizes 7.5 and 8. The 16's fit me again, wearing size 8 - but - they rub on and hurt my achilles tendons. One reason I stuck with Cascadia is that I need the heel drop of 10-12 mm to avoid achilles strain. (since most other trail shoes have gone to minimal drop proportions.) However, the upper on the back of the 16s actually bangs into the back of my achilles tendon. it gets worse as I run :-( The rest of the shoe is good. I'm really hoping the 17 doesn't do this - glancing at the picture it looks like the back of the shoe behind the heel is lower on the 17. fingers crossed!

I have worn the Ghost model for several years and am have worn them out. The Ghost was not available in a wide so I thought I would try a different model They were much too large. Too long and wide. Wish I could get the Ghost in a wide again.

Just didn't fit as well as my last 2 pairs of Cascadia's. I was training for the Camino and needed a good trail shoe, but I decided to use my already broken in Catamounts instead. I'll prob return these.

They are very grippy but they are narrow. Going a few miles downhill my toes were jammed and they got very sore. I'm surprised they didn't turn black and blue. Disappointing since I got wide shoes.

I ordered a wide size. I really wanted these shoes to fit as I did like the cushioning, but they were too narrow for my wide, flat feet plus custom made orthotics.

The Cascadia 16 is my 4th pair of the Cascadia line, and is thus far the most uncomfortable pair of all. I use them for backpacking as they are to stiff for good rocky trail running. This pair runs larger and wider than the previous 3, and yet somehow pinches my little toe, but only on the right. Wearing thicker socks does help, but then are too hot for summer backpacking. But, since I wore them on a muddy 13 mile pack trip I suppose I'll have to keep them and hope they become more comfortable. Of the many pairs of Cascadias, Calderas, Glycerines and Ghosts I've worn over the years for long distance running and hiking/backpacking this particular pair is by far the most uncomfortable one right out of the box.

They are not as comfortable as the Ardenaline 22So I will stick to those.

I'm a big fan of Brooks Revel and Ghost, but this trail running style didn't work for me at all. The material felt very stiff, and my usual size was too short. If you try it, I'd recommend sizing up!

I’ve never had to “break in” my Cascadias. But these started out very stiff and haven’t gotten any more comfortable after months of wear. They are also bigger, heavier, and have a higher sole than past designs. Cascadia has been my go-to for years but I’m not woo sure anymore.

I have worn Brooks running shoes for years and always wear an 8.5. I ordered the Adrenaline GTS 22 and the Cascadia 16 at the same time for different purposes. The Cascadia feels at least a half size longer and wider. For a trail runner, I don't want my foot sliding around inside the shoe, especially for downhill. I am returning for a size 8 and hoping for a snug fit that is not too short. I can't address any other aspect of the shoe at this time.

Not quite right. Ordered a 7.5...way to big. Ordered 7.0 to cramped. I sooo wanted to love this shoe.

I didn’t want to rate these shoes with stars because my feet are unique. I found these shoes impossible to wear but those who don’t pronate as much as I do may find them perfect. The toe box was wide enough; it just was not flexible enough for me and my bone spurs. I’d like to see the same colors in the Glycerin.

The shoes are very big in the toe box, this happened a few years ago with same model of Brooks Cascadia so I bought the prior year and all good.
Hope I can return them

I wanted to wear them for walking but they were too stiff for me and there is no cushioning in footbed.

Great design but doesn't provide the comfort I'm accustomed to getting from other Brooks shoes.

They seem like they'd be very comfortable, but there's a place on my right ankle bone that they dig into. I don't think this is a problem with the shoe, because I've had this problem with other shoes, both running and hiking. They also don't feel as cushy as other Brooks shoes I've bought. But I am returning them and ordering another pair of the Adrenaline GTS 22, which feel a lot more cushy and comfortable.
I'd also recommend:
I like Brooks running shoes and Merrell mules and hiking boots and Taos sandals

Loved the look, but made my feet burn. I was so sad as they are a great looking shoe.

I ordered the pink and blue Cascadia. I loved them in the picture and when I tried them on I liked the way they felt, but that darker pink color around the top and side of the shoe made it ugly, so I sent them back. Had they been the bright flamingo color with the blue base I would?ve kept them.
