Love the color. But as I have wide feet from toe surgeries these felt tight, a bit on toes but more on balls of my feet. Sadly, as i liked them. They might stretch but no time. Hard to get on out of the box, unlike ASICS. Going back to ASICS.

Not crazy about the color but the fit is good. Works great on the trails.

They are comfortable, but definitely more of a hiking weight shoe. Good treads, but more than I need.

I typically wear the Ghost in 2A (narrow),but wanted a trail shoe this round as I?m mostly running trails. The Cascadia doesn?t come in 2A and is too wide. It is also not as cushioned as I?d hoped for a trail shoe, but still does the job. I?ll keep looking for a narrow, neutral trail option.

I had the Cascadia 13 in the past and loved them as much as I love these shoes. The only reason why I gave them a 4 star review is because the top area when the shoe laces touches always seems to tear fairly quickly (maybe from rubbing shoelace rubbing on the shoe). I?ve only work the show about 5 times and it is already starting to wear down. It?s doesn?t cause any performance issue, just cosmetic. The show does break in fairly easy and it not bad looking for a trail runner.

I have the Cascadia 13 and they fit great. They are narrow around the ankle. The Cascade 16 is wider than the 13, and my heel slipped. I will be returning them.

I purchased a 10 wide and they felt too narrow. I have regular Brooks running shoes that fit great.

I got a women size 7.5 Wide, like some peope's reviews mentioned it's stiff specially the top part, yes, I agree with that but it only took me a little while to break into it. I have already wore it for hiking twice and actually I quite like it and it seems durable than Altra Lone Peak 6. Except one thing, it maybe too warm due to the durable materials, but will see if it's bearable in summer. There's something else, not much color choices for women, and availability of majority sizes seemed running out. Women's shoes color isn't attractive than men's. I want to a shoes color I like in men size 6 (equivalent 7.5 for women size), but men's shoes size doesn't come with 6. The selection is too limited.

Overall, these are comfortable and have good tread. They fit a bit looser that the Ghosts which are my go-to shoe. Reason I am not keeping them is they are not waterproof or even water resistant and living in the PNW we need waterproof trail runners.

I am now a huge fan of Hokas, but I got a pair of Brooks to try them. They are a great shoe, I thought this shoe was very stiff, and my feet were a little sore after my workout. I think I have just gotten spoiled with my Hokas, because this is a good shoe.

The size seemed bigger than anticipated but they ended up fitting perfectly with my cushioned hiking socks. I think the brand of shoes I was wearing previously ran small so my perception was a bit off. Overall they are a nice wide shoe when compared to other brands. A bit stiff out of the box but I plan on wearing them in before hitting a long trail. The soles are chunky and protective and nice grip on slick surfaces.
I'd also recommend:
Merrell but size way up! These run small.

I have chronic achilles tendonitits and looking for a shoe that will hug the back of my foot and give stability. I've tried so many already. I like the Cascadia thought it feels small (my big toe touches the front of the shoe, it seems a little narrow and the tongue seems short. I love the support it provides to the back of my foot. I'm returning and waiting on another pair of Brooks in the meantime.

I'm new to trail running (just moved from NYC to the mountain west), and I tried on a bunch of brands at my local running store - but as soon as I put on the Cascadias, I instantly clicked with that Brooks fit that I know and love. My road shoes are Ghosts, and slipping these on confirmed that my feet are made for this brand. I enjoyed these shoes on hikes and short runs, with zero break-in period...but the first time I tried to take them on a longer run, I got a horrible blister on my right arch. I've never dealt with arch blisters before, so it came as a nasty surprise. My store suggested swapping out a pair of Ghost insoles, since the Cascadia insole arch is apparently higher and a bit rougher than what I'm used to, and the issue instantly disappeared. It's a bit annoying that I now need to keep track of insoles, but I'll take it for shoes that otherwise work for me. One note on sizing for people who are new to trail shoes: my store recommended that I go up a half size from my regular road shoe size (which is a half size above my street shoe size), no matter which brand I was trying on. Apparently trail shoes have less stretch, or something like that. In any event, going a half size up seems to be working for me. (For the record, I'm a street size 6.5, a 7 in my Ghosts, and 7.5 in the Cascadias.) In summary - I like these shoes as a new trail runner who's loyal to Brooks, so long as I have an extra pair of my normal insoles kicking around. I can't speak to other reviewers' comments about differences from past models, but if you're a fellow Brooks fan who's just getting into trail running, these seem like a solid bet. I'm excited to run my first trail race in them later this month.

Overall a ready comfortable shoe, but the toe box area was just too big. Every over part of the shoe fit & was extremely comfortable, but the roominess at the front of the shoe or the width is what made me return...

The Toe box width are not as generous as the Ghost or Addition. I have bunion on my feet.

I am a Brooks fan but the pair that I bought through the mail has a short tongue and does not feel balanced. It does not feel comfortable all the times. The bones of my feet hurt at times. This did not happen with older Cascadia pairs that I have.

I have a high instep and these seem to hurt a little at the top of my foot. After a mile or two they do settle. I love the grip for muddy and snowy runs. Feet stay warm in the cold. I bought these online because they were on sale and had nit tried Brooks before. I went to a running store and found out I need wide in Brooks shoes, so I am guessing that is the issue with the top of my foot feeling pinched.

Good fit overall but stiff, especially to the arches. May just need broken in. Wearing for trail walking/hiking, not running. Been a Brooks fan for several years so will give these shoes a chance to prove they are ideal for hiking.

The cushioning on this shoe is amazing! I am keeping them- but btw the toe of the shoe is larg for its size and they are a soft top - like a road running shoe- not supported on top of foot for a serious trail

Going by your size suggestion I ordered a size up (6.5 to a 7.5). Much too big. Returned and got a 6.5, my normal size and they still feel big. I'm wearing them inside the house to see if they are just different or too big. I'm normally a 6.5 in new balance and adidas. I liked the price and funky color of these but I'm. It sure about the fit.
