They are stiffer than my previous Cascadia?s so have taken me a bit to break in. But in Brooks fashion they are a well made shoe

Really like this trail shoe, except for the the toe box, is not narrow enough for me. would prefer Cascade 16 in Narrow, not always medium.

Not quite as soft as I would like. I bought them for a Camino in June. Otherwise seems like a well made shoe.

I really like the brooks cascadia. These were my 3rd or 4th pair. Style- the soft green color is very cute, but the options for womens wide shoes are pretty dim. Only this black w. Little spots of color. Comfort- I trained for and ran a half marathon in these shoes. As I transitioned them to a “wear around” shoe I enjoyed their water resistance on wet and rainy days. The soft material at the heel deteriorated exposing the sharp inner skeleton/boning of the shoe, making them uncomfortable to wear within a year of intermittent use. Disappointed in that regard and will be looking elsewhere for my next pair.

Comfortable shoe but I am still really missing the early PureGrit models! I need a very flat heel as I am prone to putting all my weight in my heels due to a spinal cord injury many moons ago. I love to hike but tend to twist my ankle if I have much of a heel at all. The early Puregrits were so perfect for me. I still have my earliest pair but they are very worn. The Cascadia is ok, but not the same.

A little stiff at first, but after a couple of runs they are feeling good. No blisters or chafing of any sort!

I bought these from a local running store earlier this year and have since put a few hundred miles on them. I mostly use them on steep, rocky, dusty trails in our area. The good: Even though standard width, this shoe feels a lot roomier than most shoes. There is plenty of room in the toe box (my pinky bunion is very grateful). The cushioning is a great middle ground, not as intense as Hoka Speedgoat, but just enough to not make you feel every rock you step on. The grip has been pretty good, some slippage on steep dusty/rocky downhills but otherwise I can trust the grip on these, even in slick packed snow conditions when I forgot my spikes. The thick lugs have been great. Even with 300 miles on them (and some mixed trail/road use here and there) they still look just as good as the day I got them. The gaiter tab and lace storage band are nice touches, as well as thick textured laces that are easy to grab (thin laces on running shoes drive me crazy!). The less good: These shoes are a little TOO roomy in spots. While I appreciate the ample toe room, my mid foot feels like it is swimming, even with heel lock lacing. The result is that on steep downhills my foot still slides forward a little and the pressure from the lacing is a little irritating the the front of my ankle. Nothing crazy, but I think this could be prevented with more narrow mid foot. A little more cushion in the forefoot would help too, it felt a little skimpy compared to rear and I sometimes feel a pressure point under my big toe when wearing these. Last thing, these uppers run hot. Not so hot that I feel like I need to rip them off (they've seen a few 100+ degree days with me), but as soon I start running you can see a sweaty imprint of my foot on the top of the shoe. Overall, these shoes are fun to run in and I would buy these again. I feel safe and sturdy on all sorts loose rock/shale/steep dust, and the roomy forefoot makes me never want to go back to more narrow styles of trail shoes.

This is very different from the previous model if you have bunions! They did not work for me and the previous model did very well.

The fit is perfect - I wear a 5.5 and it is true to size with a thin sock. I absolutely love the way these feel when walking but unfortunately, I need a zero drop shoe for running. The heel is so high compared to the forefoot that my ankles feel jammed after running. I WISH Brooks made a zero drop. The materials are excellent and the width perfect.

They are pretty comfortable. The fit is a little bit bigger than my ghosts models. That is the only reason why I gave it a four.

Love the shoe, the sturdiness; could not get the laces to set properly - with or without my orthotics - and created uncomfortable pressure on top of my foot. Lack of third eyelet at top of sneaker doesn't allow tightening for ankle support. Wish they would have worked!

These shoes seem really well built and protective for trails. I found they run a bit long for my usual size 7.5 in Brooks so I didn't keep them. I think a 7 might be too small. Toe box was nice and roomy.

Overall the shoe felt more narrow than medium but I’m sure with some breaking in they will be fine.

My high arch and high instep make buying comfortable walking shoes difficult. I purchased my first pair of Cascadia 16 shoes at a brick and mortar store, and I also needed to buy new insoles to accommodate my high arch. For my foot - B-width, square toe box, high arch, high instep, the Brooks Cascadia 16 shoes are very comfortable. I would say the most comfortable I've had in a long time. When I saw that LL Bean had the shoe for the same price, I purchased a 2nd pair. However, buyer beware, the shoelaces do not stay tied.

Very comfortable shoe for trail running. I found them to be a bit narrow, I had to go up a half-size to get a good fit.
