I usually wear a 7 Wide in the Ghosts, so ordered the same size with the Cascadia 16. They were initially a little snug for my right foot, but loosening the laces helped. I think they'll loosen as they get broken in. I first wore these on a mountain trek fresh out of the box. I didn't need to break them in, they immediately had a smooth ride. Much more stable than the Ghosts, but not as cusioniony. The Cascadias added more grip to the snow and the rocky sections. Exactly what I needed for a mountain climb.

I absolutely like these Brooks I previously owned a pair of these same kind different colors. I feel if your going to make these hiking trail shoes they should also be waterproof you never know what you're going to run into while hiking on the trails I myself wouldn't want wet feet all through out my hike I like the water protection proof shoes I work around water my feet get wet every so often it's weird having wet feet for my long shifts. So it's just a thought to make them water proof too

These aren't as comfortable around the ankle as my first pair of Brooks, which are a different model. And they tend to eat my socks.

I live Brooks for fitness walking and was looking for more heel support than the Ghost 14s I was wearing. Live the support, but less than smooth transition from heel to toe - balls of my feet kind of slap the pavement. Will continue us to use and alternate with another Brooks shoe, but probably would not buy again.

The shoe is well-built and durable. It seems like the upper will last. So far, running in summer, the upper seems a little bit stuffy, not the most breathable. I only have about 15 miles in though, so that may improve as they loosen up.

I like the wide toe area I hiked in a half snow and rocks and I didn't slip

Love these shoes except how high they come up under the ankle bones.

Great shoe. Comfortable and good for trail running. Just a bit heavy for my liking.

Good support and traction for trail runs. They do double duty as my mountain bike shoes. I use platform pedals and the shoes really keep my feet solid on the pedals even over rough terrain and obstacles. Only con is I wish they weren't so heavy.

Comfortable and stylish. Great arch support. I wish the toe box was a bit bigger-had to buy much thinner socks to keep my big toes comfy.

The shoes look great and have excellent grip, I went for a hike with good elevation, the first time I put them on, they performed really well on the mostly rocky terrain. I love the extra room around the toes, since I have pretty wide feet. My only complaints are that there's not enough cushion on the sole and the shell is a bit hard.

I love Brooks running shoes but this shoe ran much smaller than others. You might want to consider sizing up.

After years of wearing Glycerins I decided to try something else a little less expensive. The Cascadia is a fine shoe for traiIwalking and such. It does not have a lot of cushioning but is supportive and comfortable.

Like: stylish, well-made, and sturdy. Be aware: Sizing is huge. I'd probably be more comfortable in at least a half size smaller but couldn't be bothered to ship a return. Also be aware these are not super-cushiony, if you're used to comfy Brooks running shoes like the Ghost. It's a stiffer, less bouncy experience.

Comfortable with a PowerStep insert. The left tongue is a little tight, but that might be my foot! Haven't done trail running yet as they just arrived.

I don't run anymore, but bought these for their great support and good grip while hiking in the Rockies.

They are stiffer than my previous Cascadia's so have taken me a bit to break in. But in Brooks fashion they are a well made shoe
