I've been wearing Brooks Ghosts since the Ghost 10 and I have always loved the fit. They are my go-to, everyday shoe. I'm not a runner. I recently bought the Ghost 14 and I'm very disappointed in the changes Brooks made to the Ghost. I need a wider toe box due to a foot issue and the Ghost 14 definitely has a narrower toe box. The Ghost 14 also seems to be a little shorter in length as well. While I love the new colors and designs, the fabric is stiff and feels like a lower quality than previous Ghosts. The increase in the drop and the shorter laces are also negatives for me. I will be returning these and hopefully Brooks will make some improvements in the Ghost 15. Luckily I have found a few pairs of the Ghost 13 in my size that I will be purchasing.

I loved the Ghost 12! It fit well, was attractive, and very comfortable. The Ghost 14 seems similar to the Ghost 12, except for the design of the tongue. The narrow tongue of the Ghost 14 lacks the cushioning that I need in this area for comfort and for preventing the shoe from slipping when I use it for daily walks. (I have tried tying my shoes in different ways to prevent the slipping, but that did not help.) I hope Brooks changes this aspect of this shoe! If the tongue was the same as the one on the Ghost 12, I would buy multiple pairs of the Ghost--one for exercise, one for casual wear, and one of the Ghost GTX for exercise on rainy days.

Gave me a blister and quality has declined from earlier models. Disappointed.

I have previously worn the Ghost 13. I have 4 pairs and have converted my entire family to Brooks. Everyone loves their Ghost 13. I was excited to try the Ghost 14. the new style is sleek and cute. They kind of remind more of the Adrenaline 18 which I also love although they are a bit more narrow in the toe box. I ordered a pair of the Ghost 14 for myself and my husband right before going on a trip. When I tried them on, they did not have the bounce of the Ghost 13 and I also felt a pain in the ball of my foot after wearing for about five minutes. I also wear a lift in one shoe. This has never been a problem before, however the insoles of the Ghost 14 seem to crease and bubble up in the arch when I put my lift in. They were pretty uncomfortable. My husband didn't know that I didn't love mine and he put them on before leaving town. After walking around the house for about 10 minutes prior to leaving, he turned to me and said these shoes kind of hurt his feet in the ball of his foot. He changed into his Ghost 13's and I sent both pairs back. I am huge fan of Brooks in general. For some reason these just don't hit the mark.

I'm a big fan of the Ghost 13 so, naturally when I needed to order a new pair and the color choices were limited in the 13, I upgraded to the Ghost 14. Let me just say - not a fan. The fabric is different than the Ghost 13; it's stiffer, rougher, and close to the comfort of the Ghost 13. These will sit on the shelf unless I'm desperate. In the meantime, I ordered a pair of the Ghost 13's in a less-than-desirable color, since the color choices were very limited in my size.

I really wanted to love these as I needed a good shoe for my nursing job, however these are uncomfortable for me. I loved how light they are but when I put them on I noticed a bump on my left side of my left foot, my right side felt fine. Despite this I decided to go on a long walk to see how they felt. Unfortunately after the walk both my feet hurt by the arch. Because of this I don't these shoes are the ones for me. Maybe they would work for someone with really high arches.

Not as comfortable as the Ghost 13. Good enough for a short distance run but made my feet really ache over longer runs.

It didn't fit as well as the Brooks before this. I wish they wouldn't update styles. Ugh.

I have loved my Ghost 12 and 13. Bought ghost 14 last weekend. Very different then the 13. Feet hurt when I wear them. Very disappointed.

Although Brooks says they have "improved" the Ghost 14 by creating a more cushioned ride, I think it feels flatter and harder. I didn't like the feel Just walking around in the house, not even going to try running in them.

As a nurse, I'm on my feet a lot and I have had a good deal of foot issues in the past. I have been a huge fan of brooks ghost and was excited to see the new color schemes the 14 offered. However, this shoe is different. There does not seem to be as much cushioning or support. I have only had these shoes close to 2 months and have only worn them a handful of times, but they feel like I have had them a year. My feet hurt every time I try to wear them. I buy new tennis shoes often and have owned at least 20 pair of brooks. I?m sad to say I have been very disappointed in this updated version.

I have had ghost 12 and 13s they both supported me in my runs. These 14s make me hurt. My shins hurt when I run on impact. I will go back to my other brand of shoes

I usually love them, but this pair stinks....I am still wearing the old pair that I considered worn out because the new ones I bought at Christmas don't have any support. I liked the color and design of the shoes, too bad they don't meet the former Brooks standard!

Hard cushion that made my knees hurt. My toes are rubbing on the sides which makes me think these are too narrow and I don't have a wide foot. I have high arches and these are not supportive. The last ghost shoes were the best. These are really uncomfortable.

I had multiple pairs of ghost 11 and ghost 12 and absolutely loved them. I couldn't find those now obviously because they're old models. I bought these online without trying them on thinking the quality and fit would be the same... THEY'RE NOT. I already wore them so I can't return them and I'm furious. I work in a hospital and I'm on my feet all day and the last few hours of my shift my feet are killing me, especially my toes. It feels like there's more height in the heel that pushes you forward. I have high arches and the past models were perfect, I could work double shifts and my feet wouldn't hurt. That's impossible with these. :(

Beyond disappointed,,,ghost shoes have been my favorite however not sure what they did to these shoes. The quality is horrible not at all what it used to be . These laces are the worst ,, first they too short and second they so poor quality mine popped in half no longer can tie my shoes not even a month old .. I do not mind paying a high price if the quality is good but I think these are the worst

Usually I have great luck with any kind of Brooks shoes but these felt too tight. Also, the cushioning was lacking. The shoes actually felt kind of cheap, which is not my normal experience with the Brooks brand. Returning these and reordering my old style instead. Too bad because I did like the color.

This Brooks Ghost 14 is not attractive as it appears online. I have extremely trouble feet. Bunions, hammer toe/s, flat, you name it, I have it. Many of the reviews stated, these sneakers were great for people with issues with their feet. For the cost of the sneaker, there is ABSOLUTELY, NO SUPPORT! Plus the sneaker look dated, as if, they were previously worn.

Purchased these at a sporting store. I?ve worn them daily for about a month. They definitely have logged some miles but part of the sole is already coming off. I have had several other brooks and the sole never came off. The toe box does seem more narrow than the previous model. I also agree with other reviewers that the shoe laces are way too short and I can?t do the runners knot which makes the shoe feel less secure on my heel.

I don't normally write reviews BUT I don't want anyone to have the same issues I am having. I am a preschool teacher so I got these for work because my Brooks in the past were GREAT!. However, at first the shoes were great, quite roomy for my size 12 wide feet super cushy really comfortable to run a few errands. But then the first day I wore them all day at work by hour three or four my heals were killing me and by the end of the day my lower back and hips were in SO much pain I could barely bend over. I thought ok, maybe I just need an adjustment and I'll be fine. But again after an adjustment and not wearing them one day I am in soo much pain and I can feel it as soon as I put the shoes on because I can feel how the shoes make my hips align and not in a comfortable or good way. Unfortunately because they have been worn I am stuck with a very pain inducing expensive shoe.

Sorry Brooks but not having luck with these Ghost 14s. Been running in Ghosts for years now and not sure what has happened but these shoes are causing all kinds of problems. Just started using my 14s right before the first of the new year and both of my big toes are sore on top of toe near nail cuticle which is also red where skin meets nail and as of two days ago my heel started hurting on one foot which is indication of possible pf. I have never had that before. I am avid runner (triathlete, OCR, trail, road, personal trainer). I bought three pairs of 14s and have tried each pair and problems still persist no matter which ones I run in.

I wore Brooks Ghost for about a year. I wore them for running and work. I wanted to get the 14 but I returned them to try something else. I realized that I started getting plantar fasciitis when I started wearing Brooks Ghost. I think maybe the drop is too high for me. I'm trying out other shoes to see if it goes away. It's a bummer because they fit perfectly for me and I like the arch support.

I absolutely loved the ghost 13s and lived in them for running, working out, etc. I and am really disappointed in the 14s. They are too narrow in the toe box and don?t support or cushion my foot the way the 13s did. I have a bunion on my right foot and it hurts in the 14s & I never had any issue with this in the 13s. The 14s are also a less attractive shoe & the laces feel cheap.
