I've used many Cascadias over the years. They get better each revision. I love the outsole and rock plate in these shoes. Mega grip and no worries about where you put your foot down. The upper is nice and comfortable with just the right amount of cushion.

Lightest, most responsive and comfortable Cascadia yet! They have kept all the great features of previous models like the Ballistic Rock Shield, beefy tread and durability, and have dropped less desirable traits of earlier models. Bravo! Happy trails are a sure thing with the Cascadia 16.

I'm going to walk the Camino De Santiago Frances in a few months. I have bought a few shoes that people said were awesome to make this 500 mile walk. So far I tried Altra, Soloman and Saucony. The Altras and Solomans won't work. The Altra's squeak constantly and when I reached out to them they said put powder or Vaseline in them, which makes the squeak stop for like, 4 hours. Not a solution. The Solomans are nice but very little padding under the ball of my feet and my left foot hurts after a day of walking. So far, these are an improvement. The tread is aggressive. I like that part a lot. They seem to offer better stability as well. Brooks comes with a rock plate. That's a positive. Still evaluating these but, they seem to be a good choice so far. My plan is to wear these on all my long walks and then when the time to go to France/Spain gets close buy a new pair and break them in, then walk the Camino in them. I need to wear them in the rain and see how well they dry afterwards. I'm hoping it doesn't take them an excessively long time to dry out.

I'm new to trails, and had been wearing my Ghost 24's. These are a game changer. I read other reviews and was thinking they must be extremely picky! Who really cares about color discrepancies? And if the shoe is too big, return and size down! These are for trails, they provide great traction. I rolled an ankle in 2018 and it can reaggravate. I am very confident in these. Just ordered two road shoes one for speed and one for spring! Love Brooks!

This is about the Cascadia 17, not 16. Color on website doesn't match the actual product. The Gray color at the toe, is deeper and richer, in both the toe guard and the mesh area. I really prefer this. The actual product is much lighter in the same areas, which I'll get used to, but it's unfortunate.

Sturdy, grippy, great fit. They keep me on the trail in all conditions. Roomy and no heel slip.

I'm not a runner but I appreciate the shoes for walking and everyday wear. I've been a devout "Adrenaline GTS" guy but the last 2 versions have had a different fit that doesn't feel right and the soles are too squishy. Admittedly, I bought these Cascadias for the Bigfoot theme but discovered they offer a great fit and firmer sole. I like them so much I bought a second pair in a different color.

I don't know how I never saw the model 173 - White/Biscuit/Rooibos! I bought these immediately upon seeing them. Why? I was about to leave for a two week trip to Europe and wanted to pack efficiently. This model had everything I needed. A single shoe that was sporty, durable and versatile enough to be my one shoe for the trip. I hiked, dined, ran and danced all over Europe in these sharply patterned pair. I have had so many compliments on them literally across the globe. The Cascadia is my shoe! I've owned many. I just wish I had bought multiples. My favorite version ever! The 173 - White/Biscuit/Rooibos! Put more out for production!

I have flat feet I bought these so I can start walking around the trails not far from my house. I wear these most of the time now. By far the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

I've run for Brooks in the past, and in Brooks for 33 years! I love the feel of the Cascadia on the trails, they are comfortable, stable, have great grip on both dry and wet rocks, and awesome protection from rocks while running! If you're looking for the best trail shoe out there, you've found it with the Cascadia! The only improvement would be to have more choices on the colors and combinations.

Very comfortable shoe. Wore first pair out and working on my second pair. Already have the third pair on the shelf ready to see action some time down the trail. My road shoes are adrenaline 21. Enjoy Brooks products.

So far so good! Ordered 12, perfect fit, for me sole is a little stiff but for what I wear them for it's good! Overall the Cascadia is well constructed well made. Would buy them again!

My favorite shoe from Brooks so far after about 6 different styles. On my third pair of the 16's and looking foward to trying the Cascadia 17. Great toe box and the uppers don't have a weak points if you like to work in them too, which sometimes destroys a mesh upper. They seem to transition from run to fast pace walking very well and the sole keeps my heels from bruising which I have an issue with at times, but never in this shoe.
