This review is based on 50 miles of outdoor running on snowy roads, bike paths and trails in northern VT. This is my 3rd pair of Cascadia goretex shoes. Temperature range -5 to 30 Fahrenheit (January 2022). Typical weekly mileage: 25 miles First of all, the good: excellent tread, excellent stability, warm (even on -5 degree day). Essentially, these shoes are like good snow tires. If you are running outdoors in snow country, do yourself a favor and get goretex trail running shoes, it will change your outdoor winter running experience remarkably. This is the my 3rd winter running in Brooks Cascadias. Now, the not so good: I got blisters on the my right foot. The right shoe was very painful over the dorsal surface of my right mid foot. I tried using different eyelets for the laces but no luck. Unfortunately, I had to return the shoes as they are simply too painful to run in. (Thanks for the fit guarantee). BTW, I am a loyal Brooks customer. I typically go through 2 -3 pairs of Glycerin GTS yearly. I had no fit problems with Brooks Cascadia 14 or 15s or Glycerin GTS.

Really wanted to like this shoe but ended up returning them due to blisters on the insides of both feet. My previous trail shoe was the Cascadia 14, which are great shoes, but this one fits very differently. The front of the shoe is quite a bit stiffer and when it bends, it rubs up against the side of the foot. It?s likely different for everyone depending on your foot shape, but if you?re coming from the 14s or 15s, definitely buy them from a place with a decent return policy.

Really tried to like this shoe, but I had to return them due to recurring blisters on the inside part of my feet. I agree with the previous reviewer; the area where the shoe bends with each step tends to rub inward against the side of the foot. Tried 2 different pair, and they both did the same thing. I'm sure this depends on each individual's feet, but definitely try them out before you commit. I'm usually a big fan of the Cascadias, but this year I'll be looking for the discontinued previous year's model.

I usually have great results with Brooks Cascadia. However, this pair purchased less than a month ago, is already breaking down. The mid-sole cushion connecting to the toe-kick is starting to separate. I am pretty disappointed.

I have worn Brooks running shoes for over 10 years. Glycerin. Glycerin Stealth, Ghost and Launch are always size 10 for me. I use Brooks in 5K, 10K and half marathons. If it is a timed event, it is Brooks. Normally I wear size 10 M, a half size larger than the normal size 9.5 9.5 is the size I wear in most other shoes. I purchased Cascadia 16 using the same methodology I have for the past ten years with Brooks and Brooks only. This shoe came in almost a full size too large. This certainly solidified my opinion in online purchasing. It is harder to return merchandise and definitely another lesson learned. The shoe is definitely comfortable, just too large. Back to Merrell for my hiking and trail running needs online.

Even at almost half off sale price not a good value. Be prepared for the onslaught of marketing communications when ordering drone Brooks. The snug, supportive fit loosened up and became sloppy after wearing only a few times. I regret the purchase

I gave this shoe 1 star because they do not offer it in the width I need. I like Brooks shoes but it is getting harder to find the size I need!

I has high hopes for these shoes. My husband loves brooks. I did not receive the item that I purchased. Instead, I received a torn up box held together with packing tape, and another persons used and worn shoes. I processed my refund the same night 10/18/23. As of today 11/6/23 I have not received my refund. This was my first and last time ordering from Zappos.

Ordered a width of 2E, doesn't feel like my Adidas 2E. Feels tight. Also the feel of the shoe is not very natural smooth/soft/flexible. I am not a runner, I am a walker just trying to find a pair of comfortable shoes so I don't have an excuse to not go walking.

The mesh that holds the tongue in place ripped loose the first time I put the shoes on. Now both tongues fall to the outside of the shoe.

These shoes fit bigger than other Brooks shoes. I always have worn an 11 2E shoe (glycerine, ghost, beast) and they fit perfectly but these shoes do not fit as well. I was excited to have a good trail shoe but these are wider in the foot and a little bit longer. I am disappointed that they do not fit the same and will be sending them back since they offer a 90 day warranty.

The Cascadia 15 was the best shoe I ever had. These fit a lot differently in the forefoot and toe box.

Looks great, but...the fit is aweful. I have a typical American foot. Slighly wide forefoot with a narrow heel. I do not have a high instep (very average). First time I went to put on the left shoe the attachment of the tongue (I assume used to keep the tongue from sliding around) ripped right out on the lateral side of the left shoe. This stitching keeps the tongue down so far I struggled to even slide my foot into it. The right shoe was much the same however it did not rip or tear. The toe box is nice and wide and thats a good thing. However, the material (being that it is molded) does not give at all making the shoe feel narrow. Especially on the laterial metarsals. I do not have bunions, again I have an average shaped foot. When sintching and tieing the shoe the material (eyelets) are spread apart...very wide. Almost looks like eyelets are on the sides of the foot. Resulting in laces being very short and difficult to tie a knot (bow). Now it is possible these abnormalities are isolated to the shoes that I received (or a small run). This review left by former Outdoor Industry Footwear Tech Rep.

The tongue immediately rips from side fabric when I put the shoe on. I've gotten two pairs and it happened with both on my first try. I've got the laces loosened and I'm holding the tongue while I slide my foot in. I got a half size bigger and the same thing happened, it immediately rips in the stitching between the toungue and side mesh fabric inside. The stitch must be very weak. What a disappointment.

The 16s are my sixth pair of Cascadias. The new wide toe box is terrible - my front foot slides around on technical terrain. Such a huge disappointment. Just awful. Please remediate this flaw.

I hate these shoes. They are ugly and not really fit for purpose as hiking shoes. It was an expensive lesson

The foot shape iss different, sloppy feeling, my normal size sloppy and too long, half size smaller too short. Feeling strange even on aslow walk. It is trailrunning shoe, but no stability only cushion that you dont need on trail.
I have 2 cascadia 15 and caldera. Caldera is cushioned too, but with better fit. be carful if you use the shoe as a trailrunning shoe

The shoe delivered was not the shoe depicted on the website. The sole was a nude color and not the same grip pattern whereas on the site it was blue. The laces were bright yellow as opposed to blue with yellow flecks, the shoe upper was not the same coloring as shown and the cushioning was a sea foam color instead of white. There also was no loop on the heel to assist in pulling the shoe on. 1st pic is shoe on website, 2nd pic is shoe that arrived. The tiny pic on the outside of the Brooks box is the same as what was on the website but that wasn't the shoe that was in it. Sending back and hoping for the right shoe this time.
