These were far too narrow. I have owned 3 other pairs of Hokas and was disappointed they did not fit.

The shoe is extremely comfortable, but does not hold up well as a hiking boot. After a weekend hiking in Colorado the sole of shoe was shredded. Traction provided was terrible. Very disappointed

I have to say for the day I wore the GTX boots they were the most comfortable shoes imaginable. One issue the bottom of the shoe came after one day of use. Customer care was outstanding by refunding my purchase. Could buy another pair because the color was not available in my size.

The least comfortable Hoka I have worn. No cushion like every other pair I have. Must wear very thick socks because the shoelace eyelets dig into your foot and ankle. The rear of the soles stick out about 1 1/2", they catch on steps, ledges, and anything else that you get close to. They look nice, but cause foot pain. Would not recommend.

This shoe, unlike the low tops I usually buy, was very narrow especially at the ankle and actually hurt when I laced them up.

After having the shoes for two weeks the shoelaces broke. I've never had shoelaces break so fast in the owning a new pair of shoes that I've only wore two or three times.

The high tops are too high for me and also felt too narrow. Order a bigger size maybe or half a bigger size than normal

When I first started wearing them, I thought they felt really good. After a bit, they became really uncomfortable over the ankle.

I have purchased 2 wonderful types of Hoka shoes in the past that have served me well. I am a guide in Alaska's Brooks Range and work in an area that features very abrasive limestone which quickly assaults the soles on my current favorite shoe, the speedgoat 2 mid. I recently tried a pair of Anacapa boots in an attempt to upgrade the durability of the sole with regard to this limestone. Though the sole was more durable, it seems this trade came at the expense of a few of my favorite Hoka features; the great cloudy like cushioning, slipper like fit and the forward flowing rocker. Perhaps the most irritating feature were the upper 3 lacing eyelets which are awkward to use and can dig into and rub your ankle painfully. The boots held up well on my first 2 week backpacking trip, but they certainly did not share any of the signature Hoka feature i appreciate most. I will not get another pair of these boots and stick with the Speedgoat boots until the exceptional Tor Summits are returned to the line up.

I am retired and disabled but try to get a short walk in on the trail by my house every day. The materials used to make this product are very good and I'm sure I would get lots of use out of it if it were the correct size. I called when I first got the shoes and was told that i has a 30 day guarantee and I could wear them and they might loosen up. I have tried but they aren't wide enough and hurt my feet. How do I get the size 12.5 in a 2EE ?

Two major issues:
1) The transition from the insole to the shoe on the heels on the inside of the shoe is a friction point that blisters you quickly. Even moleskin only postpones the inevitable. Make the insole heel cup a lot deeper.
2) This is the big one. Descending off steep hikes is not fun as the lacing system cannot keep the heel anchored resulting in toes being jammed forward. The drop down of La Plata peak was not fun and even winching down hard on the upper lacing didn't help.
Really need to address these two items, other than that, shoes work. The Hoka cushion is def a benefit for older knees and ankles like mine.

I bought these as a uniform duty boot- I'm an LEO and work at the range full time. They're nice and light, with typical Hoka comfort in the footbed, which is great for plantar fasciitis. But in terms of a hiking boot, it's really not. Lateral support is minimal and materials are very lightweight, neither of which is conducive to negotiating terrain any rougher than an improved path in your local neighborhood park. I can't comment on the waterproofness, because before I got an opportunity to test that aspect, I had to return them under the 30 day satisfaction guarantee due to the worst aspect of the shoe: the heel pull-tabs are sewn into the shoe in such a way that the stitch seams rub directly on the ankle bone, creating so much discomfort that I had to take them off while at work and put my Danners back on; I simply could not finish the day wearing them. I've returned them and requested an exchange for the low-cut version; hopefully I'll get better results.

The rivet for the lacing hook is right on my ankle and has ZERO padding over it so it just digs into my ankle bone making walking uncomfortable at first then unbearable after an hour.
Not buying this ever again!

Im a mail carrier and im in a walking route 10+miles a day rain or shine or snow. This shoes was perfect but it wont last for 2 months of use. 1 month of use feels like its a year old. And the vibram soles wear out easily. Great in your feet wearing it all day but it gets worn out of shape easily.

I have been wearing Hoka's for a long time for all running needs thought I would try these for a upcoming trip to Scotland. The shoes are no where close to the sizing of the running shoes they sale so be careful if you have wide feet these will not fit even if you go up a half size like I did.

I hike on mild terrain for work. The bottom sole is ripping off. I have already lost several of the grip texture. The water resistance has held up. Pretty upset at how easy they are falling apart though. I have only had these boots for a short amount of time.

I bought these boots with high expectations. I was let down. Pretty comfortable but I have only had them for a month and the seems are already busting. I am only walking approximately 3 miles a day. I could tell as soon as the boots arrived that there was going to be issues because I could see the glue on the seems that was slightly smeared throughout.

I would not recommend this book to anyone with wide feet.
I wish you would bring back some of your discontinued models that were wonderful wide shoes the new models are not very good sorry.

The fit is good. No stability and not comfortable at all. My feet hurt when wearing them. The comfort does not compare to the shoes! I cant imagine wearing these hiking/all day. Not happy with the purchase at all.

First let me start by saying I'm a huge fan of Hoka - I'm on my fifth pair of Clifton's. But these boots, nope. For starters, I could never get the fit just right, tried many sizes and settled for a decent fit. But it's like these are made by a completely different company - they run way big and wide. And then, my pair had serious quality issues - the outer sole began completely peeling off after owning them just over a month. I sent them back and Hoka promptly refunded me. Which I will use to buy another pair of Cliftons :)
