I use the shoes for exercising which is walking 4 days a week about 10 to 12 miles a week. The Clifton's wear out to fast and have to replace every 3 months.

I walk about 8 -10 miles a day these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn seriously, if walk or run and don't have a pair of Hoka's you are missing out.

My feet bend towards the outside and these just don't hold

They were not wide enough

My wife swears by them. I found the sizing chart WAY off. Must be sized for metro-sexuals.

Shoes are well made and cushion is inviting - unfortunately it aggravated knee problems I haven't had in many years.

The bottom of my clifton 8's ripped after owning them for under a month and a half. This was while running < 20 outdoor miles in them and only working out in a gym. I tried sending images of the rip to customer service, who then informed me I have to ship them back before I can obtain a new pair, leaving me without shoes for an extended period of time while they "analyze whether or not the shoes are under warranty". However, if you purchase these shoes at a local running store and get a defective pair, they get replaced without having to ship them back to hoka. Pretty absurd for a shoe that was under 60 days old and cost upwards of $150, hoka is a brand that i never want to deal with again.

The shoe looked very nice but it felt the opposite of natural, it made me walk with a limp almost because of all the cushion/support. I see how they could benefit some people, but I'm a barefoot shoe person for sure.

Returned once, and still too small, making my feet hurt. Was told that I cannot return. Disappointed.

Clifton 8 wide doesn't fit as well as 7.It appears to be wider.Will not purchase again

I first used my shoes for work. I am a nurse and needed a pair of shoes that had good arch support. After 1 month of using them they started to squeak all the time and work. I stopped wearing them at work because EVERYONE could hear me coming. I thought maybe it was the floors and starting wearing them casually and they still squeaked. If that wasn't enough they are already falling apart after three months. Unfortunately I can't see myself buying another shoe for fear of forever being the squeaker.

This is my 3rd pair of Hokas where the sole came off the shoe too early.

Hoka is amazing. But the clifton 8 were not comfortable.

This is second pair of shoes I have purchased. They both have fallen apart in the heel area of the shoes. The most recent pair is tearing apart in less than two months. Can share pictures of the terrible quality. Won't be wasting my money on another pair of theses.

I have had several pairs of Clifton 7 and they were a great shoe. Since the 7 is out of production, I bought the Clifton 8. I have less than 30 miles on them and they are now squeaking with every step. It's really an annoying sound. I can't wear them and can't return them to the retailer because I've worn them. I am going to throw them away. Really disappointed. I hope Hoka fixes this problem in the Clifton 9.

I hate that so much of what I buy now has the company name in bold displayed on the item.

Very uncomfortable shoe, I work 12 hour shifts in the healthcare field I'm on my feet most of the day. I was looking for a comfortable shoe, this hoka shoe was very uncomfortable don't waste your money. At the end of the day my feet and legs were killing me. I would not recommend this shoe.

Insoles very uncomfortable, ridge where they met the sidewalks of shoe. Felt like walking on a rock all day

Poor durability compared to other brands. At 40 miles, I already had flat spots showing in the tread. By 100 miles, I was wearing into the sole. I had no grip when running through a wet section of street. I retired the shoes at 125 miles due to concerns of injury. I'm 6'0", 190 lbs., and run an average of 30-40 miles weekly on street/blacktop. My average pace is 9'30". That said, those may be contributing factors to my experience. The shoe is very light. So light, it feels more like a slipper/house shoe. Even with the laces tightened, I felt less security around my foot compared to other brands. For me, I think this shoe would have been more ideal for walking or great for standing long periods, and not for marathon training. That is, unless I want to buy a new pair of shoes every three weeks.

Noisey, squeaky junk. DO NOT BUY!!

They kill my feet, very disappointed for the money zero star rating should be an option
