I was trying Hoka for the first time as I had heard many good things about them over the last few years of running. I have a wide foot and typically wore Altras but due to issues with their recent modes I figured I'd give Hoka a try. I tried the Clifton 8 in wide and unfortunately as much as I wanted to like it I just couldn't. The shoe seemed wide enough but after runs of 4-6 miles I would have blisters beginning to form on my big toe and at the area on the inside of the foot where the foot meets the big toe. I continued to try to break in the shoes over the 30 day trial period hoping those issues would subside but that didn't happen. As much as I wanted to like the shoes I just couldn't deal with blisters forming after short runs. I know that socks also have a large part in blister prevention but I was running in a quality running sock. As for the comfort it the comfort had plenty of cushioning, but felt dull and unresponsive a few miles into a run. They just didn't have the energy return and fun feel like I was hoping for. I hope to give Hoka a try again in the future as I know it is very well known brand in the running community.

I switched to hoka for road and trail running and found the shoes worked well for me. However, instead of focusing on producing and marketing great running shoes, the company promotes "woke" propaganda. I will choose to buy shoes from companies that focus on running.

This shoe has a very hard sole and is overall very uncomfortable and it feels like my feet were slipping towards the inside of the shoe.

My husband did not like how these shoes felt or looked. They were not comfortable, felt cheap, and looked cheap.

Even the wide version is too narrow. The arch area feels awful. Please make an extra wide version. Disappointed.

The shoes are amazing and I would like to buy more in the future but the heal ripped and they won't replace the shoes.

Purchased based on a recommendation from a friend. Ended up returning the shoes. So spongy they felt un-natural. A positive is that the return process way easy.

The main thing I don't like about the shoe is, just to basic looking....I should have waited to purchase a black pair with at least white included instead of all black.

Tried 3 different sizes of this shoe. felt to narrow even though i ordered the wide version. The inner part of my feet kept hurting after 1hr of use specially when i'm standing still.
