Had previous generation of Hoka- loved it. This one is well made and cushioning, but the measurement seems off. It hits me on the side of my foot at the ankle- not comfortable. I have lots of different running shoes- this is the only one that hits my ankle.

I thought they would have more cushion. I am on my feet 10hpirs a day@ and they are not as soft as I hoped.

I used this as a daily trainer shoe. I put about 20 miles into the shoe and ultimately decided to return them because they weren't working well with my foot. The cushion feels felt great but something on the inside was rubbing against my big toes a lot. I would definitely recommend getting the wide option for anyone with average width feet.

I like the style but they were way too small and I had to return them, I ordered wide and there is no way they were wide. My foot was bulging out on the right shoe and as I tried to wear them I felt a sharp pain all the way down the bottom of the right foot. Come to find out I was walking on the right side of the insert. Hoka of course offered to replace them but I declined since this was a new shoe production and I figured all of them would be off the same production line. Last summer I bought the Akasa and they are wonderful with plenty of room for comfort. Hoka also advertised with this new Clifton 8 that it had improved cushion comfort. However, it was way too spongy for me as it felt like I was walking on jello.

I purchased the Clifton 8 (wide) but they are still narrow and tight. What is the process to return the shoes.

They are very comfortable once you get used to the design. But for some reason one squeaks constantly as I walk. Tightened laces to make sure fit was proper but to no luck. Would buy again if it were not for that issue.

Bought these shoes for Universal Studios. First day wearing them my feet were so sore. The right shoe kept putting pressure on my small toe. Overall, both feet were sore walking around the park. Did not expect this.

The Clifton 8 is a really nice looking shoe, very light, very stylish. However, it is too cushiony for me. After wearing them walking the mall and running errands for 3 hours, my feet hurt, my back hurt, my legs hurt - I could barely move. There is so much cushioning in the heel that my heels kept sinking in, overworking my achilles, and exacerbating an injury (achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis) that I am recovering from. I am only walking at this point, so, prior to purchasing, I chatted with a Hoka rep who suggested this shoe. It's just not the right shoe for me.

The middle part of the left shoe is not as wide as the right one, so my foot rest on the side plastic piece and it pokes my foot sometimes. They are the only shoes I have and I have already had to ship shoes to you once. So I really don't want to go without shoes for e weeks again.

I've been running in a Rincon 3 for a while. Recently purchased the Clifton 8. All I can say is they feel tight and my feet hurt. I should've taken advantage of the 30 day return policy.

9.5 runs bigger in all black than it does in black with a white sole. Exchanged for a 9, heard nothing from the company, they cancelled my order without notice even though it was in stock during my exchange, then emailed me multiple times asking for a review for shoes I never got. Customer service said the shoe wasn't in stock. The shoes were nice for a day albeit a little big and the purchase was refunded at least.

I absolutely love the feel of this shoe. It is very comfortable but also light weight. It is my go to for outdoor running. The issue I have is with the durability. I started to get a hole inside the shoe in the heel area that I can now feel through my sock as i'm running. This is not the first Clifton to do this for me. I feel like i have to buy a new pair of shoes to avoid a heel blister even though there is still a lot of life left in the shoe itself. I ended up getting another brand that I don't like as much, but it holds up much better.

The upper mesh is so soft it would tear easily on a branch or twig or just brushing against any sharp surface.

I bought these because I read reviews that they were supposed to be great for walking. While they are light and springy and feel like they would be good for walking, they dig in, into my inside of both my feet. Sucks that I paid so much, have tried them, and now just need to eat it.

When I ordered the shoes, the "estimated" delivery date looked safe for my leaving town. Ended up needing to delay leaving by three days to wait for them. I also used the online guide to compare fitting with New Balance, and the shoes feel too small. After testing for two consecutive days, the pain was nearly unbearable. Not sure if I'd buy another pair any time soon.

I ordered these shoes as a natural replacement/addition to my Clifton 7s, which I really love. The Clifton 8 is a totally diffferent shoe, and it was perceptible immediately. Slightly longer in the 10.5 size, MUCH narrower, especially in the toebox, and what felt like zero arch support. I had to return the shoes, because they were unwearable on my feet. I hope that there is a good alternative somewhere in the Hoka line, because I really like the company and its products.
I'd also recommend:
TEVA for outdoor activities of all kinds. Hoka is the easiest on my septugenarian knees.

I really wanted to like this shoe, but it seems quite narrow and the arch is uncomfortable. The narrowness may be exacerbating arch issue. Had to return them.

I was hoping would be as stable as the Arahi so I can have an alternative look but the base not as wide or stable as the Arahi - so gotta get another Arahi which are great for my overpronation.

I did not have a chance to run in this shoes as the inside was digging into my arch.
