I am not a runner however I do walk about 5 mikes every day and two different retailers suggested that Hoka would be a good fit for my daily activity. I purchased a pair of Clifton 7's and after a time the soles began to wear down so I moved to Clifton 8 in September of 21. My issue with both of these models is that the wear out on the inside back of the shoe near the achilles area, which then causes blistering. Second issue was that neither the retailer nor calling Hoka Customer Service brought me any satisfaction. Also the "chat" line is not live so you cannot make comment there either. I wish I could be more positive as fit and feel are fine but fact that back inside heel area wears down is an issue.

I saw a video on YouTube about the shoes I purchased. These are my third pair of Hoka shoes. After three weeks of wearing them my feet began to hurt so I now wear them a couple of days and switch back to an older (different model) pair.

I have had a number of Hoka Clifton's and have always enjoyed the soft cushioned ride you get on a long run. I recently bought a the new Clifton 8 on line (directly from Hoka) expecting the same soft feel I had with the 6 & 7. But I must say I was a little disappointed when I received them and took my first run. They must have changed the foam in the sole or something because they have lost that soft feel and are rather hard. They now feel like all my other shoes. I'm not a fan of shoe companies always making changes to their shoes thinking they are improving them. sometimes it is better to stick to what is working. they also went to the attached tongue or sock type inner which feels a little tighter on the foot.

Used to the wider toe box of Bondi. These fit like a glove.. not good for my feet.

Ran big. Not very comfortable, which was surprising given the amazing footwear HOKA makes.

When running distances over five miles, my left foot small toe is hurting and my right foot big toe. I have gotten a blood blister on my right foot, near my big toe. I don't think I would buy again.

I liked these shoes in the first few months. Very comfortable. They still look great too! BUT, after 4 months all support died. No cushion left. It's like I'm walking on year-old shoes. I can't in good faith recommend these shoes unless you'd like to purchase a 4-month shoe. In my opinion that is not worth the money. Disappointed. Will not be buying this brand again.

I bought these shoes and was disappointed because they squeak when I wear them. They are confortable, but the squeaking sound is embarrassing. For the price of the shoe a person wouldn't expect to have that sort of problem.

The left show was not the same width in the toebox as the right shoe. Got a nasty blister on my left big toe after a 1.5 mile run.

First pair, and these weren't for me. Usually wear 11EE, but had to .5 size down to 10.5 because they ran large on me. Weird rubbing on my big toes and resulted in blisters. I've got ~50 miles on these and they aren't much better. I run 15-20miles a week. I hope y'all have better luck than me. Good cushioning in the sole and mid foot.

I love HOKA products, I had purchased a different style prior to this one and these just never broke in like the more cush models they have. The sole is more responsive and they make me feet hurt after just a couple hours of standing in them.

Incredibly tight and uncomfortable for my wide feet even though these were an EE width.

Bought these shoes online after doing a lot of research and was just extremely disappointed in how my feet felt. Extremely painful to the insides of my feet. I suppose it's my fault for not trying them on before buying.

I cannot recommend the Clifton 8. I walk every day 2 miles. After 2 months, I am about to go through the rubber sole and into the foam. This is the worst durability I have experienced with any brand or running show. The shoe is lightweight and feels it too when walking which is a nice. But the lack of durability is a no-go.

After 3 months they seem to be wearing out too quickly . Holes inside near the heel and a lot of wear on the treads.

These shoes look great and I really wanted to like them. However, I wore these shoes 3 times and could not wear them anymore due to acute pain on the outside of both feet on the joint of where the 5th proximal phalange and metatarsal bone meet (joint at top of pinky toe). It was a compound effect of a narrower than expected fit coupled with over support on the arch which caused supination - or as if I was about to roll over on my ankle given the outer support does not match the robust arch and inner foot support.

I would give them perfect markings except for the black part on the lower part of the shoe starts coming off only after three or four wears

First impression was that they were a bit uncomfortable at first but got a little better after a week of wear. I am more of a 4e wide but got the 2e because that is all they offer. All the 4e that HOKA offers look like geriatric shoes. My heel does not feel as locked in as I would like it to feel. It feels like the heel angle is a 90 or even leaned back where it should actually be angled toward your toes a bit. The only redeeming quality is that the cushion these provide when running is phenomenal. If they could fix the heel geometry and offer an extra wide version, these would be a lot better, but right now I am not planning on buying these again and can't recommend them.

Shoe is good with the exception of one glaring discrepancy: the insole and out sole are so perfectly paired that the inner arch portion of the shoe causes blisters. Not a good look for a high end shoe company. I spent an extra 30 to get some spencos and break the sharp edge down to a rolling hill. Try again.
