Much less cushioning than the original Hokas. No better than New Balance or Nike.

I bought a EE because it's wider than the Ds I normally wear. When they arrived, they were MUCH narrower than any shoes I've ever tried on. Guessing that they were mid marked, I sent them back with an explanation. They sent me a new pair. Again, they were way too narrow. I'm being told that HOKA doesn't make a 4E in the length I need. I understand that but the email they sent me says that they will only give me a store credit (that I can't use because they don't make my size). I did find what I needed from another brand.

First off, when I put these on I wanted to love them. The cushioning felt amazing. After walking a bit, I realized both sides of my feet were hanging off the sides and rubbing/walking on the outsole. I then ordered a wide to see if that did the trick but nope. Even with the wide, my arch was rubbing/walking on the outsole. Overall it seems these run really narrow in the mid/arch area. Very disappointing bc otherwise they felt like they would be very comfortable.

Haven't had tendinitis issues in my Achilles for years, but for some reason these brought it back. Not sure if it's the heel drop not being large enough, but it's certainly aggravated the injury. Other than that - love the fabric, weight, and cushion. Great color scheme as well.

The fit, comfort and style — all 10/10! Here’s the problem — the inside around the heel area wears out fast. We ordered these for my 20 yr old son who is a CNA in a nursing facility. The area around the outside of his heel began show wear after the second time he wore these to work and formed holes by week two. We brought them into a repair shop who for 45$ fixed them. Zappos was fantastic and sent us out a new pair (which will need the same fix ;-/).

Was very happy with shoes. Felt very good walking around the house. Went out walking with them and after about three or four blocks, they started rubbing on the side of my foot. Now it's to late to return them after they have been used.

I ordered the wide and it was still tight around my toes. The shoe is very cushioned which is great but the arch support was sharp and cut into my foot on the inside arch of the shoe. This happened woth 2 different pairs of clifton 8 10.5 wide shoes so I dont think it was a manufacturing issue I just think these shoes do not work well with my feet.

Disappointed that Hoka continues to make significant changes to a classic trainer like the Clifton. Runners get used to a shoe and it would be nice if we could count on that same model of shoe to perform each time we get one. The 8 version added an attached liner that holds the tongue. Unfortunately, the liner does not run the entire inside length of the shoe but instead creates a seam right in the middle of my instep - immediately causing a blister on the first short run - whereas on the Clifton 6 (which I bought 5 pairs of to last), I NEVER had a blister. After 5 runs of continuous blisters I took a knife and cut out the liner and now no blisters.

shoe is mostly very nice, but one of the shoes the sole bed seems to have been cut to narrow and it digs into my foot, and other shoe is perfect. So, throwing these in the trash.

I thought I'd give these shoes a try because I walk most of the day at work. The shoes gave me a blister on day 2.

The shoes support does not make a real difference. Not comfortable for running too bulky.

Instep was tight and the shoe was to tight between the widest part of the foot. Otherwise; I thought the give in the heel would be easy on all bone joints above.

I bought the Clifton for my fianc, and I had a pair of the Clifton that I bought for myself one month earlier. We have been running in issues for a couple of months, and the inside of the heel of both pairs of our shoes on the left and right foot have already ripped. It's painful to run, because it breaks the skin, and we don't run in very sick socks since it's nearly 100 in Washington DC. I'm curious as to have other people have had these problems, and if this is a defect with the Clifton shoes that we have.

I loved them at first I took them on vacation broke them in. Came back to work I stand all day. I am a hair stylist they hurt my feet so bad. My guess they are not good for standing i on a anti fatigue mat. My feet still hurt I had to buy other shoes.

I really like Hoka shoes but my recent order didn't workout for me or my partner. I didn't like the style of the Mach 4 compared to the Mach 3 and my partner ordered the Clifton 8 and didn't like them so we returned both pairs.

I'm pretty disappointed with these shoes. I've heard a lot of good things about the Honda brand but for some reason my feet ache really bad after wearing them for a few hours a day. Especially the heel. Not really acceptable at the price point of these shoes.

Happy with how my feet & body feel wearing these shoes. However, I'm 6"9" & 250 pounds. The sole of the shoes wore down quickly, 30ish days. Nice shoes but expensive for me to replace monthly.

The contour is exceptionally comfortable and is a major selling point. It looks sleek and glam.but the mesh is extremely skimpy and after two wears is looking haggard. Extremely surprised by its durability up top.
