I am a little disappointed bc they arrived with a stain on them. It looks like the yellow die or something dripped on the material

I would need a better shoe if I was still running.

I'm on my 3rd pair; trying to find a comfortable fit. The first pair fit spot-on, but the insole "pinched" my foot on both sides - a feeling I've never experienced before. I then changed to the same size, but in Wide. The pinching was better, but there was so much room that my foot slid around inside the shoe. My current pair is also a Wide, but 1/2 size smaller. The overall fit is good, but the inner part of the insoles dig into my feet. I've never experienced that in any shoe I've worn. I'm hoping they will wear in and get comfortable, but if not, I'm going to have to give up. My hat is off to the people at Hoka; they made the exchange process very easy, but at the end of the day I need a comfortable pair of shoes.

After using other brands for marathon running and general activity I found myself needing something that wouldn't cause foot pain while working on my feet all day. My wife has Hoka's and likes them, but I find them to be equally uncomfortable to other brands that are much less costly.

shoes are great but didn't realize I was going to get bombarded with worthless emails 2-3 times a day. Won't buy anything else from you for that reason

Since the last major upgrade to the shoe I've developed holes in right below the EXTENDED ACHILLES PULL TAB. I've had three pairs and without fail all three developed holes, typically within 6-8 months but I got a new pair in late July '22 and now its mid October '22 and already have holes in both shoes. I love this model but can't recommend it until they fix this issue.

Shoe feels too shallow, like my heel is going to pop out and the wide option is not as wide in the Clifton 8. Would recommend extra wide for a wider foot.

The shoes are so spongy and soft that I get calf cramps 5 min into walking.

Clifton 8 poor fit, support, too narrow . My size is 12D and these were not what I expected. Will try
Biondi 8 to see if they have better design.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance

The only Wide size option was not wide enough. Bought 2 other sneakers instead, 2 different brands. Both fit perfectly.

I ordered 11D. Never been a problem before for other Hokas. The length seemed fine. But boy it was tight in the width! After wearing a few minutes, I could stand the fit. I would not know what width to order since I've never had to order any width beside D. I returned them.

Despite ordering a EE width, this model (Clifton 8) ran narrower than a same size Bondi 8 I had to return.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka Bondi 8

Purchased both a regular and wide width, however the wide width doesn't seem to alter the fundamental issue with the shoe - the arch/middle sector of the shoe is far too narrow. After a few days of use, no improvement was noticeable with either width, and ended up blistering the arch of my foot. Until that's sorted out, I can't recommend this product.

These feel really weird and uncomfortable to me behind the heel and ankle. I’ve been through all top running brands and New Balance 880’s reign supreme for my feet. Your experience may vary.. happy running.

I really wanted to love the Hoka shoes because I have feet and ankle issues. I've tried several different sizes, styles and lacing methods but no matter, my little toes go numb in every pair. I've never had to buy wide shoes before. The edge of the show just hit my feet wrong and are extremely uncomfortable and causing my feet to callous. Called customer service to see if they could make a recommendation, and they were absolutely no help. Guess I'll keep looking.

The Hoka shoe is wonderful for comfort to a certain extent. The Hoka shoe puts pressure on the back of my heal, which over time started to create a achy pain

I returned them. One side didn’t feel right. The arch was bigger or something. Good looking shoe.

The odor of the sneakers/shoes was just terrible. I kept the purchase although I was sorely tempted to return
both pairs. I hope the odor dissipates with time.

I've worn Hoka's since about 2015 (starting with Clifton 3's) and had a great experience. I bought a pair of Clifton 8's some time ago and immediately had an issue with them squeaking but decided to keep them figuring is was a fluke. Recently I bought two more pair and they have the same squeak which I tracked down to the interface between the insert and the shoe. Baby power and other lubricants offer a temporary fix but the squeak quickly returns. I called Hoka customer service and they suggested I return them under warranty, however I decided to keep them as my other running shoes were worn out and causing me ankle pain.

Absolutely disappointed with this shoe. I decided I wanted a more cushion shoe for my long runs so bought this after I burned through my mach 4s. The arch is so high in this shoe it's painful. I tried taking out the soles and even buying new soles however they built the high arch into the shoe therefore nothing I can do. Biggest waste of money officially over hoka. Don't buy this unless you have a high arch it's extremely uncomfortable even with all that foam.

Hoka Clifton 8's in mens size 12.5 wide is no longer a "wide" shoe.
I've had two other pairs that were perfect but you obviously changed something because these are uncomfortably narrow.

These are terrible. I've never had such an expensive pair of shoes feel so terrible on my feet. For starters, order down at least a half size, but maybe even a full size if you're between sizes. The toe box is wide to the point that it felt like there was no support whatsoever. I have no idea how these have amassed such a following. I would return them if I hadn't already thrown out the box.

Bought a second pair of Clifton 8's after loving my first pair and I have to say although quality is the same the fit is not the same at all. Might be a quality control issue but the top of the shoe is much tighter and after two weeks of wear its not getting better. Both purchases were for size 13 wide. Once in store and once direct online from Hoka.
