Unfortunately, these sneakers were not comfortable for my type of feet at all (flat and wide). I tried several shoes and sizes to no luck. I had to get a refund twice and went with another brand. I expected more from Hoka.

I got these on the recommendation from my hospital coworkers and have to say I don't love them. Out of the box they felt weirdly bouncy but I was told by other Hoka owners that they just needed to be broken in. But after almost two months of weekly wear, they just haven't been working for me. They're very "mushy" feeling. I feel like the shoes just don't have a ton of structure. It's like they're too comfortable without being supportive enough. Maybe it's a sizing issue, or I should have got the Bondis. But I've already worn them too long and can't return. Bummed cause I was hoping these would help my chronic foot/ankle soreness.

Comfortable shoe, feels good, wears quickly on soles and unfortunately always ends up with a hole in the inside of the heal from daily wear wtihin a month. This is the 3rd pair this has happened.

The shoe seems to have interesting pressure points. The arch creates some intense blisters. I've put over 300 miles on these shoes and they never really broke in. It was some of the worst condition my feet have ever been in. If I didn't tape my feet it would always result in major blisters. The shoe also caused my to roll off the outside of my foot. During the run I really had to focus on rolling of the ball and big toe, but that's where the major pressure point is and it's uncomfortable.

Disappointed in the comfort of the fit as well as the cushion of the sole. I hate to say it and didn't expect to but I prefer brooks.

I've had success with other Hoka options, which are unfortunately no longer available. I've had these shoes for a couple of months now and they aren't as comfortable as other Hoka shoes. There is ample padding but the shoes cause discomfort when walking long distances.

Let me start by saying I absolutely love my Hokas. My podiatrist recommend them and raved about how they would make me feel-- she was right. They fit comfortably, they make my feel feel great, and they are cool looking in addition to supportive. The reason I rate 2 out of 5 is that I wore through these extremely fast. I thought it was a fluke at first, so I requested a warranty pair of shoes. Hoka really did me a solid and stood behind the product, they gave me a new set, and I couldn't have been happier with the service and experience. However, even the second pair wore extremely quickly. I'm now on my 3rd pair of Hokas and have just hit the 5 week mark, and they're in need of replacement once again. I wear them every day and dont exercise-- just wear them to work and home (I work in an office building).

Half a size up felt sloppy in the toe box half a size down feels way too tight over the mid foot. I ended up cutting the gusset completely. Love the Mach fit true to size and more stiff. Clifton not so much. Need to bring back Mach and black on black in the Mach please

My Clifton 8's were delivered on 2/13, and i immediately recognized that they were not as comfortable or as form fitting as my previous Clifton 6's which lasted close to two years. I bought these to walk in (8 miles a week), and after two months much of the tread was gone and the bottoms now smooth. I have owned the shoes for just under four months now, and the fabric has developed holes at the heel, and they just don't seem to be of the same quality as my previous Hokas.

I walk all day in these being a delivery driver. Not very comfortable after a few hours. The bondi is a way better shoe, just all leather so for the summer it is hotter.

My daughter recommended these and told me to buy at least 1/2 size smaller because they run big. I ordered 1/2 smaller and they were still another full size to big. I thought they sent me a man’s shoe. I didn’t think they were very comfortable either. No real padding felt hard. For the price they should have been more comfortable. Had to send them back.

2nd pair of Hoka's - both have torn in heel (interior). Too expensive to be so poorly constructed.

Hoka makes a fantastic shoe. Super high quality. It literally feels like I'm walking on marshmallows. However, my experience with the Clifton 8 was less than ideal. For me, the shoes have two issues which have caused me to stop wearing them: (1) While standing, I feel like my foot is sloped backwards (i.e. that the toe box is higher than the heel), and (2) There is also very little lateral stability (i.e. my foot seems rocks from side-to-side indiscriminately which puts stress on my ankle). Again, it's an incredibly well-made shoe. Just be aware of these factors.

My sports med doc recommended this brand to help with chronic plantar faciitis. I was so disappointed that it was too tight. Admittedly, I've very wide, flat feet and wish Hoka would extend their width options for women. The weight and cushioning of the show was terrific!

Did not like at all. Heel much too high and wide. Not good for people with poor balance. Looked too much like a sneaker. Prefer more shoe looking footwear that tapers toward the front.
I'd also recommend:

Way too narrow. I think Hoka makes some decent shoes, but their toe box is way too small, I couldn't even fit my foot in.

Bought this shoe. Wore it for two weeks. Finished a race and started getting severe pain in my left foot and only left foot. Exchanged for new pair. Got the new pair thinking maybe there was defect. Got the replacement in about a week. Wore the for an hour. Same problem. Tried to get the shoes exchanged for a wider version. After checking 3 times in 30 days, expect a new pair to be delivered eventually I was told that because I got a wider shoe it was considered a different order and that I would net a refund instead. Going on 35 days now and two races and I still have not gotten my refund. Won't be ordering shoes from Hoka again.
