I received my shoes and was very excited to open them. I've worn the Clifton eight in the past, but these seem to feel different. The really irritating thing was they were not laced and the enclosed laces are barely long enough to tie. This is an inconvenience when you have poor eyesight. Next time I will go to a local store where I will have service.

While these are very comfortable I would advise against using the sizing metric that the website provides. Theses shoes run larger than what the website recommends. Try on in a store that carries these if you're a first time buyer

The arch support edge on the right shoe feels sharp along with being missed placed and cuts into the bottom of my foot. I love the shoes otherwise, but this particular pair are just NOT COMFORTABLE. Just a bad pair!

I had bought this one for walking after putting it on sale, but I will wait to buy the Bondi again, which is superior

I bought these because I recently found the Clifton 9s to really help my feet. However, these Clifton 8s feel much cheaper in quality to me and make my feet hurt.

My first pair of Hoka tennis shoes I was thrilled with there was lotta cushion in the shoe still is and I thought I would get another pair. Hope that they would last as long as my first pair. Unfortunately there's just not the cushion that I had in my first pair, and they just do not feel right.

If you're over a size 7, welcome to your new pair of clown shoes. I'm sure these are great for running, super cushy, but they are a good inch or so longer than a normal 8.5. I really wish the trend of the extended back sole would end.

the product is not what I was expecting. It doesn't fit me, it's uncomfortable and it doesn't seem to have the quality I expected.

My father in law loved the shoe. He said it was very comfortable. His 1st time wearing them he did some housework and they got damaged and tore.

Prior shoes that I have received from Hoka have been more sturdy material. This particular issue is very soft and starting to break down.

I have heel pain due to plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. Hoka Clifton were recommended as a comfortable shoe for me. I took one step and realized this was not true as my heel hurt more with the shoe on than without. These may be very good shoes but they just didn't work out for me .

These shoes were really snug, and they held my foot in place well. But they pinched my toes and the cushiony feeling wore off after about two weeks of walking use. Back to New Balance for me.
I'd also recommend:

Shoes aren't true to size (Small) and narrow. Went to exchange and after lengthy convo with customer service, they ordered wrong size and refused to stop shipment and (which hadn't gone out yet because I caught immediately following exchange email. Now i have to wait to get exchanged pair and then send back for refund. I suggest finding a local retailer to do business with if you like these shoes.

I have been an avid Hoka user for the last 4 years - solely running in Hoka Clifton's. I also walked the hospital halls in a second pair of Clifton's. It saddens me to say this; however, I can no longer recommend Hoka to colleague and friends. The quality of design has slowly downgraded over the years I guess the supply can't meet the demand for quality work anymore. I purchased a pair from an authorized retailer 8-9 months ago, wore a hole in the sole within a couple months. I filed a warranty claim, they gave me another pair, and now the entire sock liner is worn off around the heel. Three years ago this was not an issue. The materials used seem to have taken a downward spiral. It's unfortunate because I genuinely loved the Clifton.

I've worn and loved the Bondi versions of Hoka, but this version just isn't quite it for me. They're great and everything, but they don't feel as wide or as supportive as other HOKA shoes I have worn.

Unless your foot is shaped like a 2x4 these shoes have a horrible fit in the toe box. Way too tight. Second time getting burned by buying Hoka, never again. Figure out your ridiculous toe box Hoka. There are tons of used like new for sale in my area all for this reason.

If you're even a semi-serious runner.... Do not buy these. I decided to try out Hoka's after running Brooks Ghost's for the past couple of years and these Hoka's were terrible. My feet felt like they were on fire within 2 miles because of zero airflow. The shoes are expensive but feel cheap due to such little support structure. If you are buying these with the hopes of running in them, do yourself a favor and pass on these.
