Nice comments about appearance. Liked the 5, 6, an 7 versions better. Miss the assist strap at the back; surprised the tab versus notch seems to be OK. Something about the foot feel seems different - not sure if it is cushioning or stability change.

Light weight and great cushion for feet and legs, but the side of my feet got ripped up from the shoes and I'm honestly not sure if it's just my feet's fit with them. On both feet it was the middle side bottom, so the left foot it get torn up on the right side and right foot on the left side. Don't have an explanation but that's never happened to me with other cheaper shoes.

I tried 3 different pairs of wide Hoka Ones. They feel great except for the inside arch area. The shoes dig into my arch - it appears to be the way the shoe is constructed - there is a fairly firm piece that wraps up and into the inside top of the arch .. too bad as the shoes feel great except for that spot.. So cant wear them.

Shoes felt true to size and width.
Returned because I did not like the (rocker) feel of the soles

Purchased a size 10.5 Wide. The tow box is great, plenty of room. However, the middle of the shoe around the arch is very narrow and makes the shoe uncomfortable.

Ordered the all black and what appears to be heather grey two tone runner, shoes fit normal and have lots of cushioning. I think they may be slightly wider than other Clifton models. I normally get a Wide in Cliftons but this model I got a D and they seemed to fit similar to my old wides. My problem with this shoe is the colors, I wish hoka could stick with more neutral plain colors, not sure who the color way stylist is but hoka always seems to be missing the edge on this one. I went with the ALL black/grey color but I when I received them, they looked nothing like the picture. The only grey on the runner was on the midsole. From the picture it looks like the top part is grey as well. From an aesthetic standpoint I was very disappointed when I received them, so much so that I returned them. Still a great shoe, but I feel like I was tricked from the picture.

The shoes are super comfortable but don't hold up to basic wear and tear. The paint job is already rubbing away to reveal the white underneath even though they're not being scuffed on anything. Otherwise, they'd be five stars.

Both shoes are squeaky, even after breaking them in. I was expecting the same toe-box as the Clifton 6. This shoe is more narrow. Very comfortable but slightly disappointed due to squeaking.

The Clifton 6 was my first experience in a Hoka shoe. I fell in love with the shoe right away. So much so I bought a second pair. When the new model dropped I was stoked, it was right on time for another pair. Unfortunately, I am not as pleased. I originally bought standard width same as I did with the 6. The upper of the 8 is a bit stiffer and does not allow my toes much room in the toe box, and it felt like there is a decrease in forefoot padding. It is not as cloud like. In addition the changes to the tongue now pulls the insert of the shoe into the arch of my foot causing a hot spot. After about 10-15 miles in them I decided to send them back and opt for wide.. The wide 100% solved the toe box issue, but there still feel like a lack of forefoot cushioning and the insert into my arch is still present (not as bad). Now that I have about 20 miles in there here are my likes/dislikes
Likes:
Shoe feels overall lighter
Feels more Snappy
More plush tongue and heel
Attractive colors (disappointed the wide options are limited)
Dislikes:
Stiff upper
Less Forefoot cushioning (I am a forefoot striker)
Tongue design: the padding is nice, but design pulls the insert into the arch. For a wider foot with a higher arch its tough without thick socks.
Limited color options in wide format

I bought a shoe from Hoka in the hopes that I can step away from the Nike Adidas duopoly. Unfortunately, this particular shoe didn't cut it and I am in the unfortunate position of having to return the product. The cons are...
1. The shoe is too narrow. I bought a size 12 and the length is fine but the width feels like they just stretched out a size 9. My feet sit over the edge of both sides of the sole. I've never had to order extra-wide shoes but may have needed it here.
2. The heel is too tall. I'm 6' 1" and this adds at LEAST another inch to my height, which may be good for cushion while running but I planned to use these in the gym in general and I feel way too tall with them on.
PROS however are that the look of the shoe is really nice, the quality has met my expectations, and the return process is VERY smooth. For those reasons, I will be returning in exchange for another Hoka shoe (likely ordering the extra-wide) in the hopes that I can find a match.

Great shoe and I would love to give it a 5 star rating! However, it seems like with every new shoe, the insole gets thinner and thinner! I love my Hoka's but come on be better than the rest by delivering a perfect product which includes the insole!

As a big fan of Clifton 7, I pre-ordered the Clifton 8, but really surprised my usual size 10 didn't fit. My toes were right at the end. I returned them and ran out and picked up another pair of Clifton 7, which for me, is the perfect running shoe.

There has never been a Clifton like the Clifton 1. When these were re released in 2018, I fortunately hoarded a bunch, and more recently found some in an equivalent women's size (in that coral/green that nobody apparently liked). I have to say, the Clifton 1 shoes saved my feet. I am a masters sprinter (400m, 200m) and have arthritis of the talonavicular joint in my R foot. With the Cliftons, I can train 4 days a week now and race on Sat. I am presently the world leader in the 400m dash over 60 (M60 age group 57.49). Please make the Clifton 1 available again. Don't change it.

Unfortunately, I have to return this pair. Though prior Hoka purchases in the same size worked, this pair is too small. The shoes looked great, however.

Hi Team,
Something about the right-foot sneaker, on the far right side, could feel there was something that needed to be broken in to fit my foot. It's decreased, but in doing so it has created a massive sore/blister at the edge of my foot. I have never experienced this before with a sneaker.
I really want to like Hoka, but I need your help because this purchase was not it.
Last year, I bought the Kaha 2 Low GTX Trail Sneaker and I REALLY do LOVE it. That' why I bought the Clifton 8.
I've walked 4 miles in them (two, 2-mile walks) and the pain has been so bad and the sore has now lasted so long I'm honesty scared to give them another chance.
Any way I could send them back to you and swap for another pair? Or alternatively, some Clifton 9's and I'll pay for the difference between the two? I'd also be happy to donate them to a shelter or to a student.
Really want to give your product another chance. I walk 5+ miles daily and buy 4+ pairs of shoes annually. Would love for more of those to be Hoka, but based on this purchase, it's not looking likely.
Appreciate the time and care for whomever might be able to help!
Sincerely,
Joshua

I purchased these shoes for walking and unfortunately, the sole design of these shoes causes me some hip pain when walking - something I don't experience with another pair of walking sneakers I own. I ordered a size 15 (US) Wide and was sent a "D" width and need the wide. Due to the pain in my hip, I'll likely return these. My son and my wife really love their Hoka's and can't say anything bad about them other than my disappointment that they aren't as good for me.

I play pickleball, and was hoping this should would be great like the Rincons were, but these have a weird toe-box that lets your foot push out past the support of the sole. So, I feel like I'm going to roll my ankle when I push off laterally with them. I'll probably have to get a different shoe.

But that is what you get when you buy online.

Hard to say hopefully it will be all right. Sales staff didn't know difference between pronator & supinators. As well as the knee & foot damage the wrong shoe could cause; bot very professional!
