Wore out quickly and I didn't even run in them. The shoe sole gave me sores on the arch of my feet. lost heel support and became flimsy in 1 month.

With two pair of Clifton 7s, I looked forward to adding the Clifton 8 to the rotation. After two half marathons, other shorter races, and workouts, I am left disappointed and miss the Clifton 7. The cushioning and support remain great. The upper and toe box redesign are terrible. I liked the narrow design of the Clifton 7. The Clifton 8 has way too much room in the toe box. So much so that my feet constantly feel like they are slipping and swimming. I routinely have to stop and retie the shoes to get a tighter fit. This results in the mesh upper bunching up between the toes and laces. The lacing seems to have been moved up toward my ankle a bit (to make more room in the toe box?). This has made lacing uncomfortable across the top of my feet. Will be trying another shoe.

I ordered wide not medium and they were way to tight width wise. Had to send back. New Balance I guess is only shoe I can wear 4E extra wide

Definitely Narrower than marked and as purchased a Wide (EE) and it fits like a Standard or (D) width if that.

Size and fit were just fine. True to size and width. There was another review about supination and it was spot on. The arch is really hard and sticks into my foot. And it is really firm. I swear these sneakers are not for pronation support, but that's how they felt when I put them on. I only wore them for a few minutes, they were that uncomfortable. If you have high arches and supinate, these are the wrong shoes for you.

I have Owned many of Hokas. I have been running in Bondi for years. But like to have a second pair for walking, light running, back up. I finally Got around to trying the cliftons. They are very squishy which I love But the one big problem has been the design of them cause my foot to roll to the outside. Which makes it somewhat awkward.

Cushy, but toes are a bit cramped. Even with the wide size, these still feel narrow. I would consider ordering a half size up from your regular.

These were my first pair of Hoka shoes. I bought the Clifton 8's initially for running (12-15 miles per week) but get blisters almost every run using them, which has not previously happened with any of my previous running shoes. I am a healthcare student and have since transitioned to using these at the hospital. They are comfortable for a lot of standing and walking during the day but will be going back to my previous brand for running shoes.

The shoe put a lot of pressure on the top of my foot and the cushion was not as much as the Hoka trail shoes I have so I will be returning for a different pair

I really hate to rate this a 3 star, I love the Bondi 7, it's amazing. Let me start with the good, it actually has very good toe room! The forefoot is wide, could splay my toes and was very comfortable (roomier than the Bondi 7 for sure). The upper felt really good as well as the tongue. Heel was comfortable and the right amount of cushion. It was definitely plush enough for what it was, I really enjoyed it think it would've been perfect for work! What I didn't like, the middle of the foot literally felt as if they used the same size as a D size, I can't imagine what a regular width must feel like. My right foot is longer and wider than my left not sure how normal that is but even on my left foot it was still too narrow. The midsole was digging into the inside of the middle of the foot right at the arch. Maybe if there was a 4e size it could've worked but then I feel the forefoot would've been too wide. Seems like it was just designed for people with narrow heels, narrow middle of the foot, and wide forefoot. I wanted to like it but if I ran or wore them for work, it would've created serious problems it was just very, very odd sizing choices. HOKA, if you can fix that, I would buy 3 pair because I really enjoyed the rest of the shoe. Consider using the similar width to the Bondi 7 for the mid foot section, that felt great. Hate to return shoes but it was worth a shot.

I tried these out after wearing out my Mach 4's cause variety is the spice of life. But I guess I'll have to go back to being boring cause they can't beat the Mach 4 IMO. They simply lack that same response and are I think a little thicker in the sole. Not a bad shoe by any means, but once you've had the best the rest won't do.

I bought the same size as the Clifton 7 I have (2pairs), but this one is too tight: strange! The shoes seem comfortable and nice, but I have returned them because of the size.

I love Hoka shoes, but the midfoot is just too narrow and prevents me from using Hoka's. I wish you could change the design on one shoe model so I could wear them. They pinch he inside of my arch in every style shoe you have from road to trail shoes. Build quality and toe box room is great. Midfoot hurts.

This is my third pair of Hoka, the last two were Clifton 7 both size 10.5. For some reason the Clifton 8 pair I just bought is much tighter. I didn't realize it at first, and wore them outside before I realized that my feet were starting to get numb from the tightness around the toe box. I don't understand why they would change this on the same model of the shoe.

The Clifton 8 is way different than the 7. I loved the balance of structure and flexibility on the 7. The 8 feels like a different shoe...very loose. Very stretchy. My foot did not move around as if the shoe was too big. But, I did not need a shoe horn or to untie the shoe to slip it on even with 3 different types of socks. I had to return it and ordered two pairs of Clifton 7. I love Hoka products, but wow, this was a shocker in terms of change.

Loved the shoes but unfortunately it seemed they were too narrow and the side of the arch support was hitting my foot in the wrong spot. I would recommend ordering a wider shoe unless you have VERY narrow feet.

I sent the first pair back because they were clearly not a matching pair, refund was easy and quick! However I wore three pair of Clifton 7's out, 12 hour nursing shifts, and my plantar fasciitis went away. The 8 is not near as comfortable, seems more narrow, never feels right on my feet, plantar fasciitis is returning.

Clifton 8 for walking and running. The new Clifton 8 width is not the same as the 7s. The M size feels like an E width. I returned but the same. I will be getting a pair of Clifton 7s. I like the padded tongue

Very comfy and cushiony soles but too wide in forefoot therefore I tend to tighten laces too much and create some mild foot numbness

They're very comfortable walking, but running they hurt my feet. I want to like them so badly but I'm not sure that after two weeks these are the running shoes for me. I'll try the Rincon 3s and see how they feel.

I have run in the Rincon for years and they are my favorite running shoe. I tried the Clifton recently and found that it feels clunky. I have several other Hoka shoes, and I find even the Stinson to feel more nimble than the Clifton. The Clifton is also the only Hoka shoe I have yet to run in that wants my foot to land on the heel, other Hoka shoes tend to prefer a mid-foot strike.

Slightly wider than#7 version but not as comfortable - I have a heel spur and the Clifton 7 was amazing.. these are 'just another shoe' - so disappointing- although they look better than the prior iteration... but my feet hurt :(
