Fit was solid and comfortable. Didn’t fit my foot perfect like my ASICS right out of box. Ran in them and they started to mold to my foot

I found the Clifton 8's to be extremely comfortable and especially supportive while running. My only disappointment is that holes started to appear inside the heals of both shoes. Maybe that's just normal wear and tear after running 8 miles a day, but I had hoped for better quality in my Hoka's.

The only thing I don't like about them is that they squeek abit with inserts I have to use. That is the only thing that bothers me. The cushion is great and they are very stable while running.

I have purchased over 10 Clifton (same size) for some reason this most recent purchase is smaller than previous versions and they are not comfortable

I have ordered a pair of Clifton size 10 and then size 10 1/2 and I found both to be too narrow unfortunately. I have worn the Hoka model Clayton and it did not feel narrow in size 10 1/2 normal width… I have sent back the Clifton 10 and 10 1/2 pairs of shoes thanks to Zappos helpful return policy. I am hoping that a 10 1/2 wide will fit as I live the shoe…

As a die-hard Clifton-1 runner, I stopped purchasing the newer Clifton models after 5, as they made my quads feel like lead. But now that my supply of 1's is dwindling, I figured I'd give the 8's a try... and they felt great! Glad whatever was done wrong with the 5's was fixed.

Main reason I got these was that I could not find any "normal looking" trail or running shoes that did not have the appearance of some bizarre, multi-colored tropical bird on my feet! Ridiculous colour patterns out there. Got these in plain black and white, which was OK. However, a P.S. to HOKA though - Please make more shoe options in muted colours that would perhaps be more suitable for older gen. folks or less "flashy" use. Thanks! As with all these trail/running shoes whether from Salomon, Altra, HOKA, etc. I think they are way overpriced for how much shoe you get v. typical running shoes from places like Big 5...but there too they are now all multi-coloured monstrosities, so have to shop online for any plainer choices. Overall these Clifton 8's are very comfortable, and traction appears to be good - which was important to me after a prior pair of trail shoes that slipped on any moist or wet terrain. Will see how they hold up as camp shoes for my Sierra's backpacking trips. They sure cost enough, so hopefully will be long lasting. MM

Great shoes, I can’t mail the exact size? Seems like I need a 1/2 size smaller 12 1/2, but wider EE. They are never available, so I just keep the best available.

The fit was a bit snug, but they’re so comfortable I disregard it. Great cushioned and stable foot base. Hoping they last a while.

The cushioning in these shoes was so comfortable! And I loved the look! They just weren't quite wide enough for me, so I had to pass.

I have had these shoes before and loved them. This particular year, the shoes feel more tight. But will work them in…hopefully.

It fits comparable to other sports footwear. I usually wear a 9 in Nike, New Balance, etc, and a 9 in Hoka was fine.

I work in the operating room, spend a lot of time on my feet. The shoe was comfortable and fit well from day 1. My feet are still sore by the end of the day but these are superior to athletic cross trainer brands I have purchased from department stores

I purchased the Hoka Clifton 8 to replace my pair of Hoka Asaka shoes. I tried more traditional tennis court shoes, but nothing felt as light and comfortable as my Hokas, even though the sole wears out faster because of court play. The sole grip of the Clifton 8 is great for the courts. The upper mesh is light and strong enough to endure the constant stop and redirection of play. This is now my 5th pair of Hokas. I hope that in the future, the company will develop a Hoka shoe design specifically for Pickleball.

My previous pair of Hokas - Bondi 7 - were size 11 and they were just a bit large. I wanted a pair with more stability and when I tried on the Clifton 7 last year, the rails had provided the stability that I now realize I need. Zappo's size advice suggested the 10.5 was a better fit than the size 11 Bondi that I am wearing. The Clifton 8 size 10.5 seems to be 5/16" narrower than the size 11 Bondi 7 and I find them tight and just barely acceptable. The measurement I made was from the sole because I can't measure the inside the shoe. I haven't walked them for more than 3 miles at a time yet, and I'm concerned that with a 4-6 mile walk, my feet will swell and make them uncomfortable. At 3 miles, they are fine. Clifton 8 (Together color) are great looking shoes with stability. The Bondi definitely has more padding but are a touch sloppy.

Brooks Adrenaline has been my goto since Covid, but my podiatrist suggested giving Hoka a try.

I am usually between a size 10 and 10.5. Not reading reviews, I went with the larger size and when I received, them they were almost a whole size to big. I exchanged them for a 10 and I still there is a little more room than normal but I feel like 9.5 would be too small. The first day I wore them, my feet were not used to so much support so it took a while to adjust. I am a pharmacist and stand stationary for almost 11 hours a day and have worn them without issue so far. Very cushion-y. I think to walk or run they would also be very comfortable.

The noticeable feature of these shoes, for me, was the very soft, padded yet supported feel while walking. I'm battling a case of plantar fasciitis and these shoes work very well for that, greatly reducing the amount of pain I feel in my heel. The shoes are very lightweight and are excellent for walking on pavement. These are not hiking shoes and not well suited for walking on trails or uneven terrain. The padding feels like memory foam causing the side-to-side support and stability for my feet on uneven terrain to be annoying. These are definitely shoes well suited for street walking, though.

My husband loves the shoes and they have really helped his feet. Our only con is that at times the shoe makes a weird noise when walking on it.
