Sadly had to return the boot. It was too narrow. Wish it came in wide.

Ordered half size up from my usual Hoka size (7) as is typical for hiking boots to accommodate thicker socks, heat swelling etc. Super comfortable shoe with great support, which is what I am looking for compared to my last pair of hiking boots. Not a fan of the lacing system (brackets vs. holes) or the bulky look of the shoe, but sacrifices style for comfort.

My feet get really hot with the gortex. I'm an M.S. patient. I live in severe cold climate and I walk around city. I'm thrilled that they keep my feet so dry through all of the snow, the traction, the support is THE BEST, but will you make something for warmer weather? My feet get way too warm and that usually leads to numbness. I can't imagine wearing these in the warmer months.

Overall I like the shoe. It’s super comfortable.
What I don’t like is the hooks for the shoe laces. It was kinda difficult to get them on and off.
The other thing I wasn’t fond of is the sole. The bottom of the shoe isn’t completely covered by a rubber sole. The foam section looks like it will be torn up if you go over some bad terrain. Luckily I haven’t gone hiking where it was super bad yet.
The last thing is material for the shoe. It makes a lot of noise and I thought I had put a hole in it where the fabric meets the leather on the front of the shoe. Thankfully it was just some water.

The footbed is comfy, I just wore these for the first time on an 11 mile hike and while it was nice on my feet, the ankles were not padded enough for me. The area with the hooks was very uncomfortable for me and I had to wear them unhooked for most of the hike. I hooked them on the downhill and definitely had some ankle discomfort. I am hoping they soften with time and breaking in.

I tried so hard to getting feet used to these. I hike weekly and I've been waiting for Hoka to release a yellow hiking shoe for women for so long. I ordered these as soon as I saw they were available. I also own the Hoka Sky Kaha backpacking boots, a pair of Hoka trail runners and a pair of Hoka road running shoes, so my feet usually love Hoka's. These ones were just too tight and made my toes numb. I'm so bummed. If Hoka could make these in a wide, I'd order them in a heartbeat and would be willing to pay even more for them.

I ended up returning these because my right ankle bone got a little irritated. I think it was because the fabric is very thin (presumable to keep the shoes as lightweight as possible) and I could feel the hardware from where the laces go through the fabric.

I really wanted to like these as the fit and comfort was great. The other reviews about ankle discomfort is unfortunately true. The seams along the side are bumpy and not consistently smooth. They rub the ankle right at its most tender spots. Moleskin might help but why use that in a $200 pair of shoes? Disappointed as I had worn out my pair of Kaha boots.

I have 2 pairs of Hokas Women's size 8 that I wear all the time as they are my very most comfortable shoes. So I ordered these hiking boots and they fit nothing like my others. I returned to my local store.

Fit was good BUT on the left shoe something kept digging into my ankle bone. I tried adjusting the tongue but it did not help. I am very disappointed.

They are SO ugly! They are fairly comfortable though, not VERY, just okay comfortable. I would NEVER pay the full price for them! The sale was decent and I was in great need.

Fit was OK. Maybe a half size smaller might be better. I have worn these and they rub the bottom of my feet. I walk all day at work and these are the worst fit that I have ever had. Should I try a half size smaller?

My old Hoka hiking shoes were 6.5, so I ordered the same size. Site shows 6.5B. I contact Zappos and was told that B means width of Medium and was told should be OK. However, it was a bit narrow and they are do difficult wear.

the shoe felt comfortable. I liked the fit, style, and shape. what i didnt like was how Zappos sent it. It looked like someone tried on the right shoe and didn't like it and put the shoe right back into the box and sent it to me. with one shoe unlaced. Other competitors dont do that. no more purchaces from Zappos.. sorry .... I kept this shoe because it felt good on my feet. no more from zappos... you dont care about your buyers when these shoes are expensive.

Everyone has their own preference for fit, so I read the comments with that in mind. I ended up choosing my own size 9. It was not too tight nor was it loose, I do a lot of hiking up and down hills and over rocks and I want a snug fit that will not have my foot moving in the boot. For my own preference, I don't want my foot to slip forward (toe crush) or move as I'm prone to blisters on the bottom of my feet and heels. When I first put them on the ankle was not right, I did have to adjust the tongue, ensure it doesn't wrap over either ankle bone. After a bit of adjustment, I hiked with no problems at all.

This is my second pair. The first time I bought these it was to walk the Camino in Spain. While others compared blisters in the evenings I had none. Zero. I bought these just before I left and hoped for the best. I was so pleased to realize I had the best. I only walked 12 to 15 miles a day on paths that were everything, pavement, rocks, dirt, old roman roads, and a lot of uphill and downhill. I feel like I can feel the ground beneath my feet , which is important to me and yet the sole has so much cushion that my feet feel wrapped in a pillow. These hiking boots make me want to get up and walk so I am headed to Spain again in September. I will never buy another brand of hiking boot.

Because of foot issues, Hoka are the only shoes I wear. Everywhere, everyday. So when I needed hiking shoes, of course I turned to Hoka. These fit great, are cushiony, structured, just what I needed. BUT there is a design flaw, either that or my ankle is flawed. There is a seam that hits right on my ankle bone and it's very, very uncomfortable. I purchased 2 sizes to see which would fit best, so I thought, well, I'll just try the larger shoe - nope same seam. UGH! I thought about trying to fix it myself, but didn't feel like at this price point I should have to make adjustments to the physical shoe, and maybe it wouldn't even work and then I'm stuck with them. So back they go, unfortunately. No hiking boots for me.

I used the Hoka hiking boots throughout Scotland. I don't think I would have survived without them. They were comfortable and incredibly stable.

Loved that this would be waterproof and supportive, but got a lot of ankle pain because of the construction of the upper part of the shoe. Hard spots and rubbing where all of the grommets/connectors are for the tongue and the lace holders, mostly at the ankle bone area. The design seems flawed.
