Giving these to my granddaughter for Christmas. I have examined these boots and they do not disappoint. Kudos to LL Bean for continuing high quality in their products!

These boots serve so many purposes, very utilitarian, and very well made. Rain boots, winter snow boots, hiking boots, and very fashionable amongst the teens now. Bought them for my 12 year old boy. He is right in between the boys and men's sizes, so we were at a loss on what size to get him. He tried on my daughters boots, and they fit with a little room to grow, so we got him the women's.

Not the first pair owned in our family, and never disappointed. Product is well made and will stand up to years of use.

I absolutely love these boots! I live in the North and they do great in snow, but go to college in the South and they are perfect for weather there too. I usually wear a 9.5 wide and purchased the 8 and still have room to wear thick socks too.

I bought these as a birthday gift for my 35 year old daughter. We selected the correct size (one size smaller than normal) because I have three pairs of Bean boots and she fits into all of mine. She loves these boots, thinks they are "adorable". We have a 7 month rainy season in Washington State and these keep her feet dry walking to the bus station. I recommend using a good leather conditioner before wearing. Then carefully fold the tongue to fit your foot while snugging up the laces. It will remember the shape. Great product.

Bought my wife a pair of Bean Boots for her Birthday. She loves them and I love the fact that they are still made here in the USA and are very well made.

I've had my Mens 10" Maine hunters for 6 years now. Bought my Girlfriend her own pair of "Bean Boots" and they went straight from the box to the rain. She loves the warmth, water proof, and style. Many hikes, hunts, and cold/wet weather outings in their future!

I wear a 9.5B women's shoe, so I ordered the size 9 boot as the company suggested when it was on sale. Unfortunately, I have a high instep so I could barely get the boot on. I called L.L. Bean Customer Service, and they could not have been more helpful. The representative ordered a size 10 for me at the sale price and said that my original purchase would be refunded to my card when the size 9 boots were returned (less the restock charge-I don't have a Bean credit card). I returned the size 9s the next day and was swiftly credited for them. The new boots fit perfectly and I am extremely happy with both the product and the service.

I ordered the magenta/blue bean boots. They are fantastic. I've gotten so many compliments on them. I've had two guys ask me about them and take pictures to send to their girlfriends lol. The more you wear them the more comfortable they are. The softer the sock the easier it is to slip the boot on. I'm a fan of the merino wool boot socks. They go so well with these boots. I live in NC so it's not super cold here yet but they aren't lined so I can wear them during the wet seasons with no problems. Buy the boot wax for them to keep them nice and new looking. Use the sizing chart or the online chat, I did both and got the perfect size!

I bought these boots as my first pair of real rain boots. I am always hesitant to buy boots because I have flat feet and need to wear my inserts, but have narrow feet and get blisters easily. After I took out the removable soles, my inserts fit with no problem and they feel as comfortable as sneakers. I have worn them all over the place and my feet stay dry no matter what. When we were living on the east coast, I wore them in the wet and rainy spring around town, to get the mail, and about everywhere else. Now living in Iowa, a pair of thick wool socks and they are great for wet snow and mud when I take the dog on a walk. I even took them on a vacation to Ireland and wore them around the cities and some hiking while it was raining. I have worn them for pressure washing the house, and every time my feet stay dry. Sometimes my feet sweat a bit, but that is to be expected from waterproof shoes. I have had them over 2 years and my husband has been so impressed no he wants a pair. I got the navy and tan colored boots, the color has stayed true after much wear and tear. I highly recommend if you want a solid pair of rain boots that you can wear almost anywhere.

I purchased LLBean boots over 20 years ago. I STILL wear them! They've been in snow, water, mud....everything and they are still as durable and perfect as the day I purchased them. To anyone who is debating....buy them! Mine are proof that they last! At the time I bought them, I was wearing a size 7, but 3 kids later and as I've aged, my feet have shrunk about 1/2 size. Now, I wear a thicker sock, but they feel just as cozy as ever! Thank you LLBean for making SUCH an amazing product!

Everything worth having is worth the wait. I ordered these in October, but because they were back ordered, I just received them today. The combination of navy and fushia give these rugged, sturdy boots a feminine style. I opened the box, laced them, put them on, and wore them to the deli for lunch! I am in love with them already.

These were everything I hoped they would be. For sizing, I typically prefer a 6.5 in boots/running shoes, 6 in sandals, etc. I ordered a 6 and they were perfect. A bit of extra room at the toes which is nice. Wore them today with regular footie socks, but have enough room to wear with thicker winter socks as well. 10/10 would buy again!

I'm a New Yorker, even on a particularly lazy rainy day I end up walking about 2 miles, rain coming in sideways and ankle deep puddles at every corner. My pants get soaked but in these boots with a pair of mid weight wool socks my feet are dry and toasty. I usually wear 9.5-10 (Euro 41) my foot is neither too narrow nor too wide with a very high instep and very high arches. Got these in a 9M. I read the little insert about how they're supposed to fit, a thumb width between toe and front of boot to allow for circulation and create warmth, so I stuck with the size 9 and after just 3 wearings couldn't be happier with these boots! Despite initially thinking they were too big I now feel that they are just right, my foot feels very stable in them and the sole is grippy enough to scurry down a wet escalator without sliding around. Hope they last as long as people say! Highly recommended!

This is my second pair of Bean boots. My first was a big mistake because I didn't follow their size instructions and they were way too big for me. This time I got the right size - I always wear size 8.5 and size 7 in Bean boots fit great. They were a bit tight in the beginning, but after a few wears broke in, and turned into super comfy boots. I wear then every day from October till April because I travel most of the time for work, and can only bring one pair of boots with me. My previous pair lasted me two years, which is amazing, because I walk up to 6 miles every day. The soles wore out and the leather got scuffed and the stitching frayed in places. I probably will buy another pair when this one wears out.

I have been asking for these boots for as long as I could remember every year for Christmas. Yet, every Christmas, these boots are always sold out. This year, I decided that I would grab them early, and boy was that worth it. I have worn these boots in everything, the rain, sleet, and even one day where it was warm, and with everything- jeans, leggings, and shorts. I wear these boots about 4 times a week, and they are perfect for waking around school in. For fitting, I am usually a size 6 and that's what I got. When I wear them with thin socks they are a little big, but not so big that I cannot wear them. With thick-ish socks, they fit great! These boots are amazing for rainy/snowy weather. I live in Massachusetts, and whenever I am out with my friends on a rainy day, I feel very confident in my Beans, knowing that they are not only fashionable, but they will protect my feet! I have no complaints- get these amazing boots, you will be very happy that you did!!

I definitely recommend ordering a size smaller. I ordered 1 size down from my normal boot size and i still have room to fit thick socks comfortably.

I bought these "Bean boots" for my 16-year-old daughter and she loves them. I had read other reviews that said they ran a bit large, so I bought her a size 9 (she usually wears a 9.5 to 10) and they fit perfect with thick socks. She says they are warm and comfortable.I bought them during a 20% off sale, so I felt that I got a good deal as well. Love that L.L. Bean offers free shipping all the time!

I have ordered from LL Bean for many years and have never had issues or concerns...until our latest purchase. The package was destroyed by a curious pooch who found it in the driveway just outside our garage. When we arrived home, all that remained was one boot and a few pieces of the box (we later found the missing boot in a wooded area just outside our yard). I thought to myself, "Money thrown away..." and then made the call to LL Bean in hopes that I could contact the shipping company for a possible reimbursement since the package was left on the ground. I was informed that LL Bean's policy is 100% satisfaction...not only did I receive another pair of boots free of charge, but they also expedited delivery. Customer service is outstanding and I have since purchased many more of our Christmas gifts from LL Bean. I am overwhelmed that this company still treats their customers with respect...I will be a forever customer. Side note: When the boots arrived (they were purchased for our daughter), I tried on the one that we could initially find and liked it so much I ordered a pair for myself! Thanks, LL Bean!

I bought my first pair of bean boots after my other L.L. Bean brand boots finally showed their age after 10 years in New England winters. I picked my size based on the recommendations from the website. Knowing that I will be wearing thicker socks when it snows, I ordered a size 7 (regular width) for my size 7.5 feet. Lacing the boots were super simple- I didn't lace them all the way up, leaving the top eyelets empty. The laces tie with a little bit of slack left in length. I wouldn't have been able to fully tie them if I laced all the way up. Getting my foot into the boot was different, as I have never owned boots that had the tongue fully attached. My initial impression on the fit was that I picked exactly the right size for what I wanted- they are on the more spacious side, but it will be perfect for thick wool socks. I don't feel any uncomfortable rubbing or chafing in my heels, toes, or arches. Even with my everyday socks (crew cut, stopping at my lower shin) these boots keep my feet warm. I normally run on the cooler side, with my feet being cold first. I'm glad to see that they will keep me warm even with thinner socks. I wore skinny jeans and was able to have them fit in the boot without any crowding or issue. I haven't tried them with my boot cut jeans yet, but expect to tuck them into the boot given the diameter of the boot vs. the diameter of the legs of my jeans. The boots are stiff initially, but become more flexible as they warm up. While it may feel uncomfortable, tying them tighter the first few wears will help the molding process (with the boots and laces), as your body heat warms up the leather. The external appearance is flawless. I chose the brown instead of the navy. The brown is closer to a warm, chocolate brown color. The rest of the boot looks fantastic overall. Upon close inspection where the body of the boot meets the sole (light brown leather to the chocolate brown sole part), you can se some minor inconsistencies with the leather cut. However, this is not noticeable to the naked eye, nor does it appear to impact the seal of the boot. In my opinion, it makes it all the more better, since it proves that they were handmade. Aside from that, the build of the boot is excellent. Overall, I cannot recommend this boot enough. I love items that will last me years (obviously with the right care), and L.L. Bean has never failed me in that regard. They definitely didn't fail me this time, either! My order was placed on Sunday 11/13 and they were delivered Monday 11/21. My original delivery date was Friday 11/18 but that was most likely a UPS issue & not L.L. Bean's. Upon arrival, my box was in excellent condition, and I liked the recyclable and minimal packaging used for my shipment.

I finally broke down and brought a pair. I ave been eyeing these boots for years but couldn't spend that much on boots. Since I will be spending another year in New England I decided it was time and I love them. They are comfortable, they are versatile (rain boots, snow boots, brunch boots, etc..)I'm glad I made the decision to purchase them. Don't hesitate folks. These boots are a must buy!

I purchased these to replace a pair I bought in 1992. Assuming the quality is the same I expect to be able to wear them for the next 25 years
