My daughter is going to college in Maine and needed a great pair of boots and these where highly recommended and my daughter lives in them..i received a $20 couple after placing the order and called and was able to get the $20 off.. which was wonderful the customer service was very friendly and professional and very pleasant..a pleasure to do business with!

I accidentally ordered a size too large. The customer services was great! Even though the correct shoes were backordered online, I was able to find a pair in a local store. They were able to check the stock over the phone and hold the shoes until I was able to pick them up. I originally bought the shoes during the black friday sale, and the discount was honored when I exchanged the shoes.

It took a few tries to find the right size, but the great LLBean staff worked with me, were patient & helpful. I usually wear an 8, the 7 narrow fits perfectly. Boots keep my feet warm & dry. Excellent!

I've had my feet submerged in a couple of inches of freezing water while wearing these boots, and my socks stayed completely dry. I will say that if you're going to be walking on a lot of snow or ice, I highly recommend getting stabilicers or some other crampon. Otherwise, you'll be slipping and sliding all over the place. As for the sizing, my feet are between a 10 and 11. They are also quite narrow at the heel and widen out towards the toes. This can make it hard for me to find boots that are tight enough that my heels don't lift when I walk. I don't have that problem with these boots, which I ordered in a size 10. And I can wear thin cotton socks or thick wool ones, and the boots fit nicely either way.

After moving to Boston in the winter of 2014, and being immediately hit with the polar vortex, I decided I needed some industrial strength snow boots because my previous ones couldn't handle the cold and snow. These LL Bean gortex boots keep my toes nice and toasty and dry when worn with just normal socks, no matter the weather, no matter how much snow! They run large, so I followed the tip to size down. I got a size 6 in these boots when I am normally a size 7 in regular shoes. The boots fit great with normal socks. I've since moved to warmer climates, but I'm keeping these forever. I'll be prepared if the occasion ever arises where I will need some snow boots.

I got these in the middle of last winter but didn't want to write a review until I knew a little more. Now that I've had them, I can safely say I love them! When I go outside in the Minnesota/northern-Wisconsin winters, the only part of my body that is NOT cold are my feet. I hear these last a long time according to other reviews and after a year of walking/snowmobiling/etc., I don't see any signs of wear. I've already recommended to multiple friends and now I will recommend to all of you! If you want a boot that will last you and keep your feet extremely warm, I would look no further than these.

The Boots are great. What is greater is the customer service at LLBean. if you have to call LLBean you actually get a person and they are actually helpful! Refreshing in this time of robot call centers.

My daughter got these before moving to college this fall (to Ithaca, NY). (The upperclass girls were endorsing them on social media). The winters are cold in Ithaca! Parents weekend, I noticed that these were the rage (even the moms were wearing them). Hooray for timeless style LLBEAN. Once back in NJ, I went for it too (at my daughters recommendation)and bought a pair for myself. What a comfortable and warm pair of boots. -My son plays ice hockey and the arenas can be freezing. These are amaZing. If you need high performance boots.. go for it. Treat yourself < 3

I read the reviews and the recommendation was to size down and that was good advice, I wear a size 8 and bought a 7 and fits perfect. Love the boots well made and very comfortable

These boots are comfortable, stylish and a great value. They are also waterproof and amazing quality. Be sure to get a size smaller because they fit big. I usually wear an 8, and I got a 7 in these, and can fit in a pair of the LL Bean Cotton Ragg Camp socks with them. I am going to wear these all fall and winter!

I recently moved to a much snowier place and needed a good pair of boots before winter starts. These were recommended to me and I am so glad I listened. I haven't had the opportunity to wear them out yet, besides in my apartment t break them in. They're warm and comfortable and will definitely be perfect for the snow! I got them in a size I could wear thick socks with as well, but even in normal socks they seem to fit great.

This is actually the 2nd pair in my house. I love my boots but my daughter has been borrowing MY boots so I had to buy her her own pair.

These boots are perfect for tromping through rain/snow or just for fashion. I was nervous about the size, seeing that everyone says to go a size smaller. I usually wear an 8 1/2 - 9 and I bought a size 8. They fit perfect!! Even with thick, or thin socks. These are my new favorite boots!

Last year I decided to finally bite the bullet and order some Bean Boots, but unfortunately, I didn't order the correct sizes. I had tried the 8" Thinsulate (no Gore-Tex) in a size 6 since I normally wear a women's size 7 but they were much too big. This year I ordered a kid's size 5 in the original and these ones with Thinsulate and Gore-Tex in the women's size 6 and both fit perfectly! These are the ones I'll be keeping due to the Thinsulate and Gore-Tex. They felt super comfortable walking around and have room for thick socks. I got my husband a matching men's pair (size 11 fit perfectly on his normal size 12 feet). Can't wait to try them out in this year's winter weather! Size 6 is a great size if you normally are a size 7!

Be sure to follow "the ordering size suggestions" when ordering. I normally take a sz 8 and I ordered down to a sz 7 and they fit great with a lot of wiggle room in the toes wearing a medium wgt sock and the liner in. My foot is a narrow to average width so I ordered average because I have a very high instep. This worked perfectly because the tongue is sewn in to the side of the boot almost right to the top. They are "brand new stiff" but for brand new still comfortable being right out of the box. After wearing a few times and getting the ME wrinkles in them, they will be perfect! Just follow the sizing instructions and you will love them too! Thank you BRADY at Bean for making these fine boots!

the advise on sizing is solid. I ordered 1 size down (8) from my typical size for a running show (9). These fit great with a moderate to thick pair of socks, without the feeling of being too tight. The craftsmanship is wonderful, and I will treasure these in the event we get cold, wet weather this winter!

I was worried about sizing, thankfully I read tons of reviews! So I'm adding to them. I wear a size 9. I ordered a size 8..Wide and I NEVER need a wide show and the shoe fits PERFECT! I also ordered the boot socks.... I love them! So order a size smaller and wide (even if u never need wide). Is it Fall yet?

I am normally a size 8, 8.5 in sandals. I have an arch and my toes are pretty wide. I have to get a half size up in sandals because my toes fall off the shoe! Anyway. I decided to get a size 7 Wide in Insulated Bean Boots. THEY FIT PERFECTLY! I was afraid that they would be too large, so I went a size down, but I went wide because I usually wear fuzzy socks with boots. The shoes are very comfortable and I am happy to be able to walk in puddles, no problem! They are good with fuzzy socks or thin socks. The boots come a size larger than what you'd normally get. And I have small calves, so I am able to tie them all the way up. They are great.

These are the perfect winter boots! Stylish, comfortable, and they keep your feet warm and dry. You can really see the difference in quality/durability that the hand stitching gives these boots; they are a cut above the knockoffs you see elsewhere. Definitely worth the price!!

Well worth the wait.....my new boots are comfortable and look great. So happy to have a US made boot.....perfect replacement for the boots that fell apart on me last fall. These look and feel as if they were made well and with care. Thank you!

I bought two pairs of these boots for my daughters. I'm considering buying a pair for me as well. My two teenagers have found their favorite Winter boots. These high quality boots are stylish, keep their feet warm and are easy to clean. My customer service experience with LLBean over the phone was fantastic. It took a long time to get these boots, but it was worth the wait. My daughter ordered these online and she followed the instructions about fit, size, etc. When they came in last week, she was able to use them on a hiking trip we took the following day. She said they were perfect! Now my other daughter wants a pair, and so do I!

These boots are a must for New England winters. They are so comfortable and warm. I have been wearing them since I got them. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a winter boot that will last. I just replaced my moms old pair from the 1980's. They do run a little big in width and length, but if you put on a thick pair of socks it solves your problems.

Have not used much yet, but so far waterproof and very well made.
