Absolutely love these boots! I got a size 6 (my normal size) which is the smallest size made. It is a bit generous but fits fine with a heavy sock. The Gortex makes the boot so much warmer but not so much so that my feet get sweaty. Perfect for cold, snowy winter days when I'm on the go!

These are the best boots I have ever owned. They are warm, cute, and comfy. They also made the perfect wedding shoes for my December wedding on top of a mountain in Alaska. No cold feet here!

These are an investment but I plan to wear them for years so it was worth it. The waterproof factor is key for wet PNW autumns, winters, and springs. I sometimes travel to Iowa and NYC in the winter/spring and think these would be great there too. I wear a 6.5/7 in most other brands but I have a pair of the LLBean Rangeley Waterproof Pac Boots for the colder/snow days in size 6 that fit well plus the recommendation was to size down so I got the 6 and they fit like a glove! They would probably be tight with big thick socks but I rarely wear thick socks so not an issue for me. I am petite and have very narrow feet and most boots make me look like I'm wearing clown shoes, so the fact that they offer them in Narrow AA is awesome. They are extremely comfortable and look super cute with skinny jeans. I am VERY happy with this purchase and am looking forward to breaking them in once the weather gets a little cooler!

So we all know that our beloved Bean Boots have a rep for weird sizing, right? "Do this if you're a half size, do that if you're going to wear thick socks...". Here's the straight up dope on the 8" gore tex with thinsulate boots: I'm a true size 10, and my bare feet fit in these perfectly. Very little wiggle room, so I will wear them with thin socks (I hate socks generally but will break down and wear them in January). Order the size you wear--you can always send them back ('or wear with thick socks' lol).

Love the boots. Normally a size 9 but purchased a size 8 wide. Fits perfectly. Like the widths. I have difficulty getting in and out most boots but the wide is the answer for me. They are extremely comfortable. Can walk on these all day. Disappointed we did not have more snow. Not cheap but so worth it. Highly recommend.

I bought these boots because I am moving to New England and wanted something warm and waterproof for walking to work. So far they have been fantastic. I have found that walking in them is so great and my feet are indeed kept warm and dry. I also stand on concrete for another job sometimes and at the end of the day my feet aren't hurting as they would if I wore other footwear. I have found that if I'm just siting in the cold my feet will get cold. So these might be best for someone looking for a boot for a cool fall/winter walk. I am usually a size 8 in running shoes and a size 8 1/2-9 in other boots. I bought an 8 in these and they are a little big, but fine with thick socks.

Super comfortable. Warm but not hot, even after all day. True to size per the recommendation to order a size down ... I typically wear size 7, ordered a 6 and they fit perfectly. A bit "stiff" as I would expect however not a problem and I look forward to breaking them in. I have worn in snow, rain, slush and mud ... I remain dry and cozy. Stylish and fun! These are an investment that I am confident in and happy with ... I plan to wear year round as the crazy weather in Missouri allows. Thanks LLBean - we can always count on you!

Like everyone else, I love these boots. They keep my feet warm and dry in snow and freezing cold. And they aren't bulky or heavy. I followed the sizing recommendations, and they fit perfectly. I'm typically a size 7.5 and ordered a 6. Feel like I could fit some pretty thick socks in them. These boots are definitely worth the high price tag.

I bought these boots to replace my 45 year old ones that were actually still good except no tread/traction. They are just as well made.

I've only worn a couple times so far. I normally am a size 8 but ordered a 7, it's a little tough to get the shoe on but once on it fits fine even with socks on. A little stiff but normal with a new shoe. In all I love them so far.

I don't know why I waited so long to get them! I have to walk my dog every day and these keep my feet warm and dry. Tested them out in pouring rain the day they arrived. I did have to size down to a 6, normally 7.5/8 and I still am able to wear a heavier sock. I know these will last for years to come.

This is my second pair of Bean boots. I had originally purchased the ankle height boots, and exchanged for these 8" boots. I normally wear a size 8.5 and a size 8 fits perfectly with thick Bean camp socks. They are comfortable and well made. I am looking forward to using these throughout the winter months in New England. I would definitely recommend these

I have been wanted insulated Bean boots since purchasing my uninsulated pair last year. I loved everything about them except that my feet got too cold in the New England winter months. These boots are just amazing. They are so warm and comfortable. Absolutely no break in period; perfect right out of the box. I am a true size 8 and ordered a size 7. My other pair is also a 7. Both fit great but I will say this pair is slightly more snug with the insulation, but I would definitely still order down. I'm a teacher and we are outside with the kids no matter what the weather is. These boots keep my feet toasty on the mornings when everyone else is complaining of cold toes. I also am able to wear them inside throughout the day without my feet overheating. And they are perfect for winter walks with my dogs. Plus they look great! I'm so pleased with my investment (that's what I consider it) and hope they last forever!

That's it! I've finally done it! I'm never buying boots again. These are warm, waterproof and comfortable! I'm usually an 8.5-9 in shoes and I bought the 8M. They're a little tight to slip on, but they're secure on my ankles once on, so I like them. So far it's been a few days 10-0 degrees F, and my feet are toasty warm! Ready to tackle our Minnesota winter this year!

They are awesome. And, I got the perfect fit the first time by reading the size guidelines. I am so glad I did not have to return them.

I have worn my Gore-Tex Thinsulate Bean boots since 1994 and they are still waterproof even in deep puddles! They keep out the snow, mud, and water and have held up incredibly well. I will likely purchase another pair in the next year or so because after 25 years the ones I have are just starting to develop some cracks in the rubber.

Got these for when I shovel snow and ice from the driveway. They worked out great. Plan on wearing for working outdoor events while standing in muddy parking areas.

I bought this pair to replace my old ones that had gotten to the point that they couldn't be re-soled. I own three pairs of Bean boots to cover the range of weather we have here in New England. These are perfect for the "freezing-to-oh-my-God-it's-cold-out-there" range. A word about sizing: if you have Bean boots already, pick the same size and disregard the advice given. I wear a 9 so I picked a size 8. They were too small and had to be returned. Returning them was no problem; it never is with LL Bean.

I finally bought these boots after growing up as a Bean kid, and I'm kicking myself for not buying them sooner! I originally bought them last Christmas season as a wide in my size, and found them to be excessively large. This season, I bought them as medium in my size and they fit perfectly! The GorTex lining keeps my toes toasty and I keep them tied with the Eastland knot (which makes them super easy to slip on and off. Thanks L.L.Bean for another amazing product that will be sure to last for years to come!

I bought these for my daughter because she had no boots and will be going off to college soon. SHE LOVES THEM! They look great on her and she tells me they are very comfortable. She's worn them a lot already since we've been getting a bit of snow of late. One note on sizing...we originally ordered her usual size which is a 7. Had to return for an 8 because she felt there wasn't enough room for a decent thickness of sock. The 8s were perfect!

Super warm, waterproof, light weight and comfortable. Originally ordered a size 8 thinking I would need room for heavier socks but they were huge. Order a size down from your usual size.
