Very thin insulation but it really works to keep my feet warm when I am working outside in freezing weather.

I saw so many of these on people's feet in Colorado, and I can see why. They keep you warm, dry, and walking upright rather than slipping.

I wear a size 9, ordered medium width and fits wonderfully! Very comfortable, bern warm on the tootsies when temp is in the teens. Haven't worn in below zero weather yet.

Love the feel of these boots inside. They provide warmth without the bulk. The size down and wide width fit perfectly. I would highly recommend these boots.

Amazing boots!!!! They are the first winter boots I have ever purchased that fit correctly, don't hurt and keep my feet dry! I highly recommend taking the plunge and getting these boots!!!

I had previously bought the Sperry brand boot because it was cheaper and I didn't want to take the plunge. I thought, "This can't be that much different." WRONG. After a few wears, I was so tired of my feet freezing if the temp was below 45. After getting a big snow, I finally pulled the trigger on these, and I'm so glad I did. They keep my feet dry and warm, even in really cold temps. They shipped fast, and I've been so impressed. I'm happy that I spent the extra dollars for the goretex lining. My husband has regular bean boots, and we both agreed that the goretex lining is worth it. It provides a little more insulation and keeps my feet completely dry. After a lot of debate back and forth, I ended up ordering my regular shoe size, and they fit great. High quality product that is worth the spend!

The fit is true to size even with a thicker sock! They are very warm and keep your feet dry!

Warm and comfortable. Snug if you want to wear thick socks but so warm I probably won't need thick socks. Love them. Recommend.

Exactly what i need for PNW winter. Took their advice on sizing and ordered my regular whole size and with thin Darn Tough socks, they fit perfectly with my orthotic inside. So warm and cozy!

I'm not a big shopper so I had been contemplating purchasing these boots for nearly a decade. This winter's unusually wet and frigid temperatures combined with a farm full of animals to take care of and being fed up with 'arctic lined' muck boots that left me with frozen toes convinced me it was time to give them a try. It was the best purchase I've made in years. No contest. These are comfortable, warm on their own, and downright toasty with the accompanying shearling footbed inserts (available separately). I haven't slipped once yet, either. Mud, snow, who-knows-what ... they've handled it all just fine. Not only do they make great farm work boots for winter but after I'm done with work I just hose them off and they're ready to go to town. I've worn them on two short one-day winter hikes through snowy, forested terrain with no issues as well. They are about a half size big but good medium or thick wool socks take care of that (and I'm pretty sure I could do thin ones and those toe warmer packs if I wanted to). I did treat them generously with Bean's Boot Guard (available separately) prior to wear and left them overnight next to the heater to speed the break-in process (which took about a week) and ensure the thick leather stays nice. I have no doubt, with the high quality of materials and construction, that they'll last for years. I don't know why I waited so long. Well done, Mainers!

So comfortable. Keep my girls' feet warm, dry & happy on long hikes in the woods, or walks on pavement. Should've bought these a long time ago. Sizes were perfect- purchased women's sizes 8 & 11.

Very comfortable boots! I did not expect to have a soft cushion on the heel which makes this feel great when standing for a while.

Super comfy and warm! I tried on three different variations of the duck boot and these were my favorite! I love that the tongue is sewn in.

These boots are great! They keep my feet warm and dry. The tongue is sewn into the boot, so there is not way for snow, ice or water to sneak in. I got a wide because my feet are a bit wide and with thicker socks I wanted the extra room.

Nothing beats the classic Bean boot. I've strayed to only regret buying a lesser boot. I've only had this boot for a few weeks. The real test will be the test of time. My expectations are high. Decade or more. I will have to update my review over time. As a few weeks is much to soon to judge. So, far the fit is good. I should have bought a narrow. I have an unusual slim and narrow build. Which means I'm slim, long and narrow from head to toe. The construction And quality is exactly what I expected from LL Bean. The seams, leather and rubber are better then most comparable duck boots in other brands. Ive always been disappointed after about 2 seasons buying the other guy. So, let's see if I will still love my Bean boots next year?

I purchased to wear in Montana as casual wear on vacation. I now wear regularly in CA rainy winters. These boots are beautiful, comfortable, functional and satisfy requirement to keep my feet warm while looking good at the same time! LOVE them. I wear 9 and ordered 9 and they are perfect. Not sure why people say to size down.

These boots have stood the test of time in our family ! My pair I have owned for 30 years and had the soles replaced once my wife looks forward to enjoying her own new pair !

I've been wanting a pair of bean boots for a few years now and finally decided to get them after my other pair of waterproof boots cracked along a seam. I haven't worn them in rain/snow yet but have for walking my dog and they keep my feet warm and are so comfortable and do not feel bulky or restrict ankle movement. I initially ordered a 7 based on the size recs but I did exchange for a 6 as there was way too much room in the toe even with a midweight hiking sock. I usually wear a 7.5. I think these boots will last for years!
