These are the last winter boots you will ever need to buy. They are everything they claim to be. Living with them for about a year now, there are a few very minor distractions. The fit does run narrow. I tried them on in a store, and by the fit guide, I should have gotten a 9. I got the 10 because the 9 was too narrow to be comfortable. The 10 fits great, albeit a bit long. The lining also leaves something to be desired, as it's a bit rough. I thought that I could wear them without socks (they are *super* warm), but the fabric is scratchy and tends to pill.

I usually wear a size 8.5 ordered an 8 and while they are just a tiny bit long they feel perfect I'm very happy with my purchase

I bought myself a pair of Bean boots last winter and my feet were never drier or more comfortable in the winter. I decided to get a pair for my wife before the next winter. I ordered them and they came just when expected. My only gripe is that I couldn't buy 10". Why not?

Really nice boots. Recommended by a friend and went to the store to try it out. I am normally 7.5 wide and ended up buying 8 normal. A bit too large in terms of length. So I tried to order a 7 wide online. Waited for a month and the wide version fits perfectly with thick socks. Returned the 8 one hassle free. And just wait for the real winter to test it out. Def try it out at the store if possible.

I ordered these boots last fall around October or so, and they were backordered until March. I had to make do with what I had until they came, but when I got them they were too small. I had ordered down as recommended, so I was not happy. In addition, when I sent them back to switch the size, I had to wait until July to receive my new pair. But I finally have them in a 10 (which is what I usually wear) and they fit greatany smaller and they would be too small again, actually. I'm not sure why LL Bean is trying to push this order-down business, it seems I'm not the only one that feels this way. But they quality of LL Bean Boots is second to none, which is why I stuck it out instead of getting another brand. My father has a pair that he got before I was born, and I'm 30 now and he still wears them every winter. I read lots of boot reviews because I was living and working in NYC last winter, trudging for blocks and blocks through pure snow and slush and needed something TRULY WATERPROOF. Many other boot brands that claim to be waterproof didn't stand up to testing, but LL Bean's did. So glad I have my boots now, and I'm excited to try them out this winter up here in New England!

Purchased these boots for my daughter who is headed to college. I was unsure on sizing, but we decided to go with her normal size 8. They fit perfectly - she said one size down would be too small. These are the gortex/thinsulate boots, so not sure if the fit is a bit more snug than the other styles. These will be great for her in the Michigan weather.

These are great boots! I purchased them for my daughter's birthday. She is away at college and these are perfect with her being on the crew team so waterproof too.

Just got the gortex and thinsulate boots and I love them! I got my normal size (women's 8) and i have a narrow foot, but i got regular width in the boot. They are a perfect fit with the lining and would not have been a fit if i had gotten a size down, as recommended. These are perfect and the width is perfect too! I am so excited to try them in the cold months and L.L Bean's shipping was fast. highly recommended!!

Purchased these last year for my niece who wore them all fall and throughout our cold and very snowy winter. Got her this new pair for her upcoming college year in Vermont. They kept her feet warm and toasty last winter. They fit her casual, hippy vibe. She loves them.

These boots are so warm and comfortable. I am so glad that I decided to get the Gortex boots because they keep all the water out. These are all around the perfect boot.

Just got a replacement pair for old pair that had been dog chewed....this boot has remained virtually unchanged since my husband I first purchased them over 35 years ago! There's no need to as LL Bean has a perfect boot here!

great fit - well made - I know they will be warm - this is the 3rd pair my family has purchased - my daughter used to live in Maine and introduced us to this great boot for the warmth and utility! - Now, these boots are all the rage in NYC with all the hipsters - for the fashion! So I recommend, if you want them for next winter - ORDER NOW!!!!!!!!

Although it took a while to receive these boots it was worth the wait! I have a narrow foot so the narrow was a perfect fit. The length is a little longer than my size 6 but with heavy socks they are fine! I wore them all day with NO blisters!! Love these boots!!

I just FINALLY received my boots after waiting nearly 4 months. They are a perfect fit and I'm in love (haven't taken them off and I'm still inside) I am a size 6 in almost everything and I went with the 6 narrow because I tried the shearling lined boots which were MUCH to large on me in a 6. These fit great, both without socks and with the LL bean camp socks I have on right now! Totally in love and well worth the unfortunate backorder wait!

These boots are perfect! They fit great and are the most comfortable boots I've ever had. I'm so glad I paid more for the thinsulate and gortex.

Finally found the boot to keep my feet warm and comfortable during the winter season. The lining does the job for warmth, and, the lacing up keeps snow and slush out of the boot. Very pleased with the wide width, so that toes are not squished in.

I waited 3 months for this boot for my daughter because it's the last boot she will ever need. I bought a pair about 30 years ago and use then faithfully in the snow. Granted, they only get used 5-15 times a year, but they never fail me. I wanted this for my kids also. Worth the wait. It's a pleasure to work with a great organization. They produce great quality gear and treat their customers with a deal of respect. Thanks for lifetime memories!

Of course, I knew what to expect with L. L. Bean, but these boots exceed all expectations. I bought them with the gore tex lining and they are SO comfortable. I look forward to wearing them and can't wait to start using them regularly in mud season. As for sizing - I am usually an 8.5/9 and was told to buy an 8. They fit perfectly with thin socks, which is all I need because of the lining. Super comfortable. I recommend these boots to anyone. Comfy, stylish, waterproof, and versatile.
